I'm not usually one to download an app to create a bad review but if I can save someone the pain I'm dealing with it's worth it. I came here back on February 10th and got a full deluxe mani/pedi package. The lady cut my toe and the owner only gave me a $5 discount on a $100 purchase. Now fast forward to yesterday I needed to get my acrylics off and remembered that they had done a good job on my manicure only had problems with the pedicure so I thought I'd try them again. The lady I saw yesterday removed my acrylic nails and she did a cuticle treatment however during this cuticle treatment she proceeded to cut literally every single one of my fingers around the cuticle except 1 or 2. I will not be returning here and I will be telling every single person I know that comes here to no longer. Left hand: Thumb is cut on the upper corner of the cuticle. Pointer finger is cut along the side of my nail and on the right of the cuticle. Middle finger is cut along the right and middle of the cuticle. Ring finger is cut along the right side of the cuticle. Pinky is cut in the middle of the cuticle. Right hand: thumb is cut on the upper corner of the cuticle. Pointer finger is cut on the left of the cuticle. Middle finger is nicked on the left of the cuticle as well. Ring finger was the only one unharmed. Pinky finger is cut along the left of the cuticle. read more

I've had a lot of just ok nail services but this was horrifying. I was intrigued by how nice it looked on the inside. My pedicure was ok, the massage chair was stuck in one position and wouldn't turn off. Then I sat for the fill and was immediately put off by the fact that the bits for the Dremel were not sanitized, and clearly shared between clients. I'm fairly certain that's against health code. The lady that was doing my nails was using the dremel so fast and sloppily she actually took a chunk out of my nail bed. 2 weeks later and it is still healing. Her response, "I don't know how that happened". The fill itself was so sloppy, huge chunks missing from the side of my nails, and the gel was peeling off my acrylic with in days, which has never happened to me. Only reason for 2 stars is because the pedicure lady did an ok job (but forgot the top coat). Yikes! Save your money and go elsewhere read more

Well I thought I'd give it one more try. This will be the last. Just overall not that great. Massage was nice, also tried to upscale me on the more expensive pedicure. He added a ton of acetone to the polish before applying because it was thick, and then did not apply evenly. After coming home and looked more closely, they look like crap and are already peeling on the edges. Won't be back because last time was the same. read more

I use to love getting my nails done here. However the last couple times I've been, my experience hasn't been the greatest. This last time I almost got up & walked out. The lady doing my nails was snorting like she was sick & wasnt wearing a mask. she also was chewing something the entire time & smacking. On top of that she had her phone set up on her little cart & was watching something on her phone almost the entire time. I will now be finding a new nail salon. read more

I had a fill on March 8. I do not recall the techs name. It was my 3 rd visit to Happy Nails Lounge. The tech nipped my cuticle. Then she continued the fill. In 2 days the fill lifted from the nail bed and the nail was dark. It then seeped green puss, swelled, turned red, and was burning hot like it was going to explode. Cancelled my work as an esthetician the next day and went to urgent care. Diagnosed w paronychia and cellulitis. On antibiotics for a week and as I write this I'm in urgent care again. Nail swelled again after a week of antibiotics and nail turning dark again. Now having X-ray and blood draw to make sure infection isn't in blood stream. I'm very disappointed because I thought I had a great new place to get my nails done! Pictures of this mess included. read more

I would like to begin by saying I've been going here for some time and would normally rate it a solid 4! I've had a few ladies give me exceptional service and my tip reflected otherwise, but over all a solid 4 rating seems appropriate for the salon overall. Today I went in for a regular polish pedicure. The lady (pixie cut, severe tattooed eyebrows, always seems to be in a rush or a bad mood) asked me what service I wanted and I said "I'll take the spa pedicure please and no drills please." As soon as I said "no drill please" her entire demeanor changed; it was as if her entire body rolled its eyes and had a bratty attitude. Whatever though, I sit back and tinker around on my phone. Everything was fine until it came to the cuticle clipping.. or lack of? I heard the nippers snip but she didn't really cut or manicure anything, so I was already noticing that she wasn't really paying close attention to me. She would handle my feet while turning her head to have full blown conversations with every single person working there who walked by. She then pulls out an old fashioned foot "cheese grater" tool and starts on my heels.. as someone new comes up to talk to her.. she continues talking with her face turned, and was lifting my foot higher and moving the grater up towards my toes and then it happened.. she sliced a chunk out of my left big toe!! I immediately said "Ouch!!" And it honestly stung with painful tingles and was bleeding. Had she just stopped what she was doing, looked at me and showed remorse and told me she was sorry and that she would fix it.. I might have stayed. But she tried very hard to just silence me. She kept telling me to "shh! Sh!" and muttering excuses under her breath. I said out-loud to her "this happened because you are not focusing on where you are using this tool! You weren't even looking at what you were doing" and she continued to huddle over my foot, dabbing some weird blue ointment on a cotton ball onto the wound and then immediately put my foot back into the water...? I was shaking and was trying really hard not to cry and was just completely rattled. She finished using the scrub on my legs and when she was done rinsing the soap and suds off my legs, I told her I was leaving. I turned my legs to get out, put a foot on the floor and she grabbed my other leg to make me stay and I snatched the towel on the foot rest to dry my legs, feet and water I spilt on the floor and just walked out. The ladies sitting nearby as I walked out asked if I was okay and I just simply said "I will never come back here." If you were one of the ladies present at this salon today while I was there, I apologize if I ruined your vibes. I didn't scream or holler but I was visibly upset and I know a lot of people noticed. I think this salon is GORGEOUS since they upgraded to a bigger place and normally have nothing bad to say about this place. But to the people who work there: I can imagine you service some real divas and handle some annoying people, but for customers who get cut or hurt by the employees working there, here's a little advice: actually put the tools down and look the person you accidentally hurt into their eye and give them a sincere apology. I've got a few nips here and there before, and sometimes that happens with this type of service, I get it! I know this woman DID NOT mean to hurt me, but she was absolutely unapologetic and nobody else who worked there even bothered to do anything. I personally won't be returning and really hope that the lady who serviced me today starts to PAY MORE ATTENTION when using tools on delicate skin. That's all. read more

First time and last time going here. The lady that did my dip powder nails was so Aggressive. She was an older lady. I wish I woulda gotten her name. But The experience so not pleasant, not relaxing, the entire time I was cringing from the intensity she used on my hands... I kept telling her it was to aggressive, my hands were sore and bleeding and all she would do was tap the blood with her fingertips to try and make it stop, which would only sting more!... and every time I would speak up about her aggressiveness she only seemed get annoyed and speak in her language and continue anyway. . Today I woke up with three infected fingers.. her touch was the worst I've ever experienced. NEVER GOING BACK . read more

She said oh wait this lady can help so long story short, soaked in tub of lukewarm water for 45 min. I said sorry I need to leave, a lady came over and started, told her square or flat can you please get roughness of bottom of feet. Horrible job, spent about 15 min with me, they use to massage legs spend time with you, make u feel pampered. I will not be returning, waste of time and money. read more

This is a very clean and good looking salon. Went in with a group of friends for pedicures, 2 male and 3 female. They seemed stressed working on male feet... one of them went down so deep with the grater and she cut up his foot. During checkout the woman who was adding up our totals started rounding up to whatever number sounded right in her head as well. "Pedicure plus 2 monsters, $4 each... $38... umm give me $45" she was thinking out loud lol. I probably won't be returning here, they seemed rushed and paid little attention to minor details. read more

I should really give up on this place , I haven't been in a couple months so wanted to give it another try . Today was a mess in there . The owner lady quickly sat me down and attached the nail tips , then stood up without saying anything and left me that way for so long . She was running around helping the front desk , taking pictures of a customers nails , helping in the pedicure section , she kept sitting down to start on my nails over and over and kept getting up . This is extremely frustrating considering this was a treat to myself I haven't had in a long time time. She then asked me if I was in a hurry after noticing I wasn't I. The best mood after she kept leaving me repeatedly to do other things . This is not the place to go to feel pampered or have a self care moment . If anything I felt like I was bothering her by being there . I eventually got a different nail artist who sat and finished the job she sloppily started . They always ask for a tip , never say thank you . I was not impressed in the slightest. This place is over priced for the quality and service . The salon is dirty , the products are covered in filth , dust , old polish , the towel that was used for under my hands already had old hardened acrylic beads on it from someone else . My technician was new did not speak english. so somebody helped her cut my toenails and ended up cutting the side of my left foot and told me I requested this.. I was sitting with my daughter and I told her how horrible pain it was that when she cut my toe. Wasn't super impressed the first time I came here...but after finding out my favorite place was now closed on Sunday, figured I'd give it another try. Big mistake. My gel manicure turned into tips and powder. Didn't want it, but by the time I realized what was happening, (mani and pedi going at same time) I figured fine. I'll go with it. Give it a try. That was before the blood. Twice. While I appreciate the fact he immediately hit it with alcohol, it still hurts. And now the swelling has begun. Looking at my new luxurious nails I'm getting angrier and angrier. After two hours there..didn't have time to have them repaired, or even filed properly. Not that I would trust that man around my nails ever again... The more I look at them, the angrier I get. So hopefully I can get off work in time to make it back to my other salon during open hours. Worst wasted $80 ever. And I've bought some really weird stuff in my years. Thank goodness for over time. By the time I can get this fixed, it'll be the most expensive manicure I've ever heard of. I've been an off and on customer for about five years now. A few years ago, I stopped getting acrylic sets in an effort to grow out my nails as healthy as possible and had stopped going to any salon, as I was painting and maintains them myself at home. About a month ago, I decided that I wanted to treat myself to a manicure at the salon. I spoke to the tech and told her that my nails are natural, and that I didn't want them to use a drill on my nails. The tech was great and understanding, and spent the time to hand file and buff my nails like I had asked for, she overall did a great job. Now, two weeks ago, I go back to have them repainted. I again told the tech (a different woman) that my nails are natural and I would like them to not use a drill, as she pulled it out. She told me she needed to drill a little bit. I again asked her not to drill and that these being my natural nails could not standup to a drill meant for acrylic, she again did not listen to my requests and concerns and proceeded to shave my nails down so thin that they would bend any time they would touch anything. I finished out my manicure with gel, hoping it would help keep the integrity of my nails, yelling at myself for trusting a salon to respect my wishes. And here we are, two weeks later and one of my very bendy nails ripped off as I REACHED INTO MY POCKET. I know, first world problem. However, I write this as a message to both the salon and to anyone else with natural nails, some of these techs will not respect your wishes. they don't care that I spent $75 for a gel manicure with a design just for them to drill my nails so thin that I've now broken one for the first time in over a year. I will not be back, even though I've been a semi loyal customer. Its discouraging to know that this could have all been avoided if they had just complied with what I (the person paying them) had asked them to do. I wish I could post a picture as the majority of my nail has been ripped off. please respect your customer and their wishes. and the years it's taken them to get nice healthy nails, as in the span of one month I've had to completely restart a process that has already taken me years to achieve. rant over read more

The gel was applied pretty sloppily which led to pooling at the bottom of my nail and a thickness that allowed it to easily peel off. No attention to my cuticles really. I did appreciate there was no thoughts or reaction to me being a man getting gel and color - that was refreshing compared to other places. The VERY first time I came here in 2018 I didn't get good vibes.... but this last year starting June 2020, I gave them another chance. Lindah does my nails all the time. I ask for her every time because she KNOWS/REMEMBERS my nails! It's always great to find an awesome nail tech! I do get pedicures here too.
