I went in for a no chip manicure and pedicure. The polish did not bond and it was messed up the same day! I went in the next day to get it fixed, I waited patiently for the nail tech from previous day. However another nail tech assisted me. He wanted to up charge for a polish change after I paid $90 the day before. He wanted to charge me for inconveniencing me!!! And he was extremely rude! He even stormed off saying he was done! I've visited Happy Nails 3x now and I must say each time has been an "experience". Two of the bright spots at this establishment are Mingh and Hannah. Mingh's style of service is so calming and tranquil: exactly what one needs when practicing self-care and he is very meticulous about his work! One star, because zero is not an option. Absolutely never going back here. I asked for French tip, dip powder nails. This type of set requires no UV/LED light. Instead of using the proper liquids, the nail tech used gel base coat and sprinkled the dip powder. The French tips were another disappointment and on top of that, $65! I do not recommend this nail salon to ANYONE, due to lack of credibility, quality of service, and the distasteful treatment of (Black) patrons. My family and I have utilize this salon's service a couple of times within the last month (initially on good faith from a previous, pleasant experience around the time of their grand opening) and when the quality of the service was not satisfactory (the manicures and/or pedicures were thick, sloppy, and required services to be rendered to fix them) when we went to ask them to fix their mistakes, some of the workers were rude, inconsiderate and begrudgingly served us with poor quality. I went here as convenience for my mother in law. This salon was closest to her house. Let's start with what I liked: there is literally no wait time. We walked in and got serviced. And the space is nice open you're not sitting on top of someone else. Now to the two stars.. when you walk in they just throw out instructions/ demand it's not welcoming. The guy John who did my nails had pictures of someone named James work surrounding his cubicle which threw me off. I already knew this was going left as the forms did not fit my nail beds and he was using stilettos for an almond shape. But, lets continue on as everyone's work is different. Y'all throughout the process my nail beds were burning. The drill process was painful and currently as I'm typing my nails are really tender. It hurt worse once the acrylic was applied. Initially he provided a set of colors for no chip and stated they were all the colors they had ( I asked twice to clarify) Mind you it's a full wall of colors right behind him. I literally had to tell him no I want something else and point it out. It just was not the best overall experience. Some of my nails are crooked and others look like mouse teeth. Beautiful nail shop but terrible work! Went to get my and my daughter a mani pedi for prom, and it was pretty basic. They barely scrub your feet and they don't have a big selection of colors. Gave the benefit of the doubt and return and my second visit was a disaster. My no chip was not done correctly and the polish is peeling off completely. They didn't even clean under my nails. I was never mean, but I had paid for a bad service and I wanted my money's worth. I returned to the salon and Sara apologized, she said sometimes it's their fault and sometimes customers fault, but that she was sorry that my no chip, chipped so soon. She fixed my nails perfectly and advised me that if there was ever a problem to please come back. The gentleman that went off on a rant when I was there Saturday apologized. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I can't say enough bad things about this place. my boyfriend took me here for a pedicure. Kevin did my pedicure and was extremely rough so rough he cut multiple toes. I asked him to stop because my toes were bleeding, I asked for a manager, this man approached kevin not me, he didn't even address me or ask me what was wrong. he ignored me and continued talking to kevin, I insisted someone else atleast paint my toes after the bleeding stopped. this other woman came over and painted my toes. I was at the drying stationed when I was hounded by the receptionist to pay. I told her I wanted the manager, no one came. then Kevin came up in my face and started mocking me, yelling at me. I have never been treated so rudely in my life before! Pro has a nasty attitude and needs to humble himself I will never go back here! I booked my first appointment online when I arrive to my appointment he seemed irritated that I was only getting a full set of long acrylic nails and no chip polish. He tried to put me with another tech and when I agreed the other tech didn't know how to do long acrylics and told me Pro would do them. After being shuffled from the front to the station to back to the waiting area I asked who's doing my pedicure can I start my pedicure since Pro is working on someone else even though I had an appointment. They then brought me back and a woman name Tina did my pedicure she was very sweet took her time and did a good job. Once she was done she walked me to the front to Pro station, he had a very nasty attitude and came off as if he was annoyed to have to do my nails. He was rough and was annoyed at every request I had he never asked me what shaped I wanted and told me he doesn't like doing old style nails. He was a complete jerk didn't even bother giving me any cuticle oil or anything once he was done he just got up and walked away. My nails came out how I wanted but the experience made me never want to come back here. He was rude and yelling at the workers and just very condensing he doesn't deserve any business with an attitude and poor customer service that he has. I feel bad for the workers there because they all seem really nice and care about there work. I gave one star because the place was very pretty.  I would rather have pretty feet....better yet happy feet. To begin with no one knew what they were doing. Running around like chickens with no heads. Most don't speak English, so everything you ask they they say yes. I ask is she removes ingrown nails. She said yes, but I came home with them. Polish is cheap. I got one that sparkles and it's rough like sand paper. I'm removing it tomorrow because the tips of the nails were not covered After applying the polish we were moved to a drying bar, which after 15 minutes of wasted time we ask if te was working. After asking a third person we were told it doesn't work and no one really cared how our polish got dry.   What a freaking disaster. Never again.. also, the manager was rude and insulting. I've come to this nail shop in a bind a few times. ALWAYS RUDE , over worked employees. Someone is always complaining about the quality of the work. They are expensive and will have several employees checking out what you want and then laughing in Vietnamese at your requests, avoid if possible!!! They are the worst..not a relaxing experience at all! I will take the drive to get quality,respectable services.
