I went to Happy Nail today for the first time, will be the last time. I don't know how they came up with the name happy Nails the tech that waited on me sure wasn't happy she was very rude. I only went for a pedicure for $25.00 and was charge $33.00 and she didn't try to communicate with me at all and the polish was very different from the pictures and was told they prefer cash rather than a card. Told me next time to bring cash. one of my nail got messed up with those paper thin shoe she told me I fix it this time for free next time I charge she had just painted my nails and one got messed up and I hadn't paid her yet. she-was very rude before she got paid and she didn't do a good job. Very disappointed with the service. Salon is huge and brand new looks okay, too goldish details for my taste but whatever I wasn't there to judge decor. Well, I was set with a male technician I already forgot his name and I did not like the service he provided. He made fun of my pinky toe, yeah I know it's little but I am not there to get made fun of.... But oh well, I did not respond to his laugh. The service felt very rushed, the whole process I feel like he was trying to get as fast as he can to the next customer. Once he painted my nails-Pictures attached, very poor job and very much uneven he told me to go and get my nails dry. So I sat there doing my own business but here he comes back with the receipt which didn't match the posted prices but again whatever I am not gonna complain because he dis include 20% off on the total price but then he asked me for the tip. And I was planning to tip him in cash once I get to check in/oit person and get myself organized but he just wouldn't leave my side. I found that very rude because he was rushing me his new client was already waiting in the chair where I was before. So finally when I was ready to leave I was walking by manicure stations and tried looking in their services and prices because that is the only place where is posted they were rushing me out to the register. I said I am checking out other services but they kept pointing to keep moving. So I found that also very weird, rude and unprofessional. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. First they burned me and then I said i wanted curve and they said no chip and i wanted regular and said I know what I'm doing.

First time...ask for a basic manicure. Several idle ladies are standing around. Signed in ticket show manicure. They gave me a man who proceeded to wave me onto the pedicure station. It took me a few minutes to convince him no manicure! Go to the nail station he now said dip, we go back and forth. there is no manicure. The manager comes over. I tell her he took the instruments out of his drawer and doesn't understand basic manicure. She claims it's ok because he sprayed them. I told him that it was not legal. She then goes and gets a sterilized packet. She then said we will let you have someone who understands english. Ok, now I sit down to another lady who is sorting and opening her mail! Ask if she should be doing that. She said, "Not my business pick color for dip! Once again, there are no sterilized tools and repeating MANICURE BASIC MANICURE. I decided just to leave management and said they were sorry sometimes they didn't understand English, I told her if that is the case, train them to read the tickets at least. 20 minutes no manicure. Let me start by saying the inside is nice but the people who are running it are not. I had services done on Saturday May 25th (No Chip Manicure). The man who did my nails was nice but at the end of the services he told me 4 different times Tip in Cash. Now some of you might not find that distasteful but I do. Do not haggle me for a tip. Especially if your services were not up to par. I had nail polish under all of my nails and the presentation just wasn't there. I then looked at my back account on Tuesday May 28th I notice that they charged me twice. At first I thought it was a glitch or something but then Today Thursday May 29th both charged went through. I went up there and the man at the front (Pyro) I believe was extremely rude saying well don't you see we are busy and you have to wait then proceed to talk to the man next to him in his language. I said I don't have to wait. That's not how you speak to people. He then proceeded to talk on his language. Then said DON'T YPU UNDERSTAND WE'RE BUSY. At this point I'm livid but trying to keep my cool his wife finally comes over and says she can Void the transition I'm like how it's already went through you can't Void it. Being livid at the time I should've known she meant refund but I was already upset with her husband. He continued to talk in his language and as I was walking out the door he said that fat girl to his customer. I am done with business. Do not support them. That (Pyro) guy is just plain ol disrespectful. UPDATE: All the funny reactions are from the owner. So since I know you're reading this instead of laughing maybe you need to educate yourself and your staff on proper customer service. read more

The man who did my nails used way too much acrylic. When asked how long he had been doing nails, he became very annoyed and assured me that he knew what he was doing. I told him I did not like thick amounts of acrylic before he started. I am not impressed with the quality of work performed here, especially when everyone is blaming the pandemic for their raising prices and lack of quality work. read more

I decided to try this place after not getting my nails done for 5 months due to COVID. I've heard good things about Happy Nails and a family member even receives services here. I asked for short-medium square. The lady was getting ready to paint my nails and I thought she was joking about leaving my nails how they looked. Unfortunately, it was not a joke. I asked for someone else to fix my nails and she did not do that much better. I was frustrated and said I would go home and fix them myself. This place is horrible and have the worst customer services. I went a few weeks ago for gel manicure and brows. The lady who was taking care of my nails did a horrible job. Before she finished, I let her know that whatever too coat she put on the nail made the coat bubble. And it needed to be fixed. She took off the polish and did them Again, and once again it happens. Now I'm upset because I have to leave and I've been here for over an hour to get my nails done. I proceeded ti ask for the manager. He comes over, I begin to let hi. Know my issues and in mid sentence he walks off. Now I'm over it, the disrespect was at a all time high. I go to the front desk and the manager tells me I should be Lucky he was going ti help me. The young lady who did them, did an excellent job. I've been here at least 3 times and my last time was the last time. I asked for a fresh ombre overlay and it took forever. Every time the tech went in to fix his mistakes it made the nails look worse. Shape was off, he used way to much acrylic and clearly was uncomfortable doing an ombre. I left unhappy and dissatisfied after spending almost 2.5 hours there. I went to my regular nail tech at another shop to fix my shape. now 3 weeks later I look and see my one of my nails are tuning green. I would never go back. I have never had this happen anywhere I go to until I came to this nail salon. My other two experiences here weren't bad, but they didn't leave a spectacular impression either. I went here on Sunday May 23rd, for the first time. The nail shop was overly crowded. I got an overlay on my nails and a pedicure with no chip. It has been one went since getting the work done, and the polish on my nails are chipping. The polish on 4 of my toes fell off. I paid $80 for this trash. People save your money and go somewhere with quality work. If this is the type of service they are providing, then their prices need to me drastically lower. Just sharing my experience. My sister and I treated ourselves to mani pedis. First time out during a year and a half of the pandemic figured we'd do something nice in honor of graduation. The gentleman that helped me was very nice but had a very hard time understanding me, which didn't matter we got through it. The problem was the nail color application and the customer service after. I was very unhappy with the final outcome of my nails which was one color but I didn't have time for a fix because I had to run to work so I left. I came back the very next day half hour past opening time and was ignored at the door, when I was finally asked what I needed I expressed the problem and was told to come back at 7pm. I express I could not but could come back earlier or the next day and was ignored. I asked if I could please return for fix and was ignored, when I started talking again the lady at the front station became very irritated and raised her voice and said "I told you you come back at 7pm" and I said "I'm sorry I told you I can't is there anyway you can please help me at all with this problem?" She ignored me once more. At this point I should have walked out but was appalled at being yelled at in front of the salon and not a single sorry at least for the inconvenience. Honestly if the lady would have been profesional or at least simply nice I would have left and called it a day. I asked if I could please talk to a manager and she said she was the manager and yelled "I'm busy you come back at 7 or you no come back again!" I apologized to the girls in front witnessing everything because I could tell they were so uncomfortable and left. Needless to say I won't be recommending or returning and ask if the owner sees this please work with your manager on better customer service and provide more training to the nail techs. read more

I went in on Mother's Day and was greeted and seated immediately. It was a little busy so they had 2 people taking care of me but they kept me aware of what they were doing the whole time. Pro did a great job on my ombré nails, I've gotten several complements and even had someone ask to take a picture of them. There seems to be a bit of a language barrier with one person there but that's not a problem for me, I think people just need to be patient. Disgusted !!!!! I have never been so insulted in my life . I've had two bad experiences here with the tech PRO and after the last one I will never be back , my family won't be back either . The nail tech PRO is extremely unprofessional and rude . He has a terrible attitude and rushes through nails. When you I asked to him to fix my ombré on one nail that didn't match he began getting an attitude and loud . The fix involved adding a tiny amount of acrylic and would have taken a few seconds . He told me that how it supposed to look and that he wasn't going to fix it and preceded get loud. I told him that he needed to finish my nails and that I didn't get this treatment in oakbrook and wouldn't be back . That send him through the roof and led to him mocking me repeatedly and slamming things !! I always tip very well and try to remain professional . The first time I went to Happy Nails I got a mani, pedi, and wax and the customer service was great! My first experience was so great that I left a pretty hefty tip. I honestly felt like I finally found a new spot for my nails and I was excited to go back. Today, I went in for a fill in, I wanted the same color, style, everything. The male nail technician that I had was apparently the technician that I had the first time but I couldn't tell because the second time around, his customer service was very poor. He started to shave my nails down too much and I KINDLY let him know before he started on the third nail that I didn't want to change the shape and repeated that I just wanted a fill in. He went back to fix the nails and continued with the rest of them. It seemed like he was still taking them down too much so I offered to show him a picture for reference like the first time. He got very defensive and literally told me "I didn't mess up the rest of your nails so I'm not doing them again". As a paying customer if I asked to have my hand redone he should have considered this or atleast handled it better. From that point on out I could tell he had an attitude by the way he "finished" the service. He only gave me ONE COAT of finishing gloss and unplugged the curing machine too soon, my nails were still sticky. I literally had to ask him to replug the machine so that my nails could finish and because he only did one coat of finishing gloss, I left their spa with DULL NAILS. I did nothing to warrant the type of service or (lackthereof) that I received and I am highly disappointed with today's visit. I ended up going to another nail spot to finish coating my nails because I didn't want to go back and risk another negative experience. His behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable! Unfortunately because of this, Happy Nails has lost a loyal customer that could have brought them alot more business. I will look for a new nail salon with better customer service. ETA: Upon reading the other reviews, it looks like alot of other customers have had the same distasteful experience with the same guy. His name is PRO. I am just hoping the business owner sees this.... I called around 1015 and asked if I could come in at 11 for a fill. The woman on the phone said "yeah come in" and hung up. When I arrived at 1045 I chose my color and waited. I asked the tech "how long?" She said "when I'm done with her" (the person she was working on) ... ok "when I'm done with her" does not answer my question. I ask again "ok so how long" she responded "5 minutes" (mind you when she actually ended up finishing her it was 25 minutes) anyway, upon the second time I asked.. a man I was not talking to says "you don't have time?" I said no I live close so if it's 20 minutes I'll run home and come back. Now another lady appears and says she'll work on me (this lady was very polite and did a great job) while she was working on me this man says again "oh she doesn't have time" How rude is that? Was he really that mad I asked how long? And why did you need to bring it up again. Very unprofessional. Sorry my day doesn't revolve around getting my nails done and I would like to know how long I would be waiting. I called to ask if they accept appointments considering that I had to be at an event later that evening they said yes and I proceeded to book with them I scheduled a time for 4:30 so as I walk in I told the lady sitting in the front and she handed me a ticket which I was confused by because I made an appointment. We waited a whole hour before getting serviced and on top of that they were being extremely rude. They were rushing and on top of rushing we didn't get what we paid for the man named pyro is beyond rude and disgusting To women.
