I'm puzzled as to why there's so many low star reviews for this salon as my pedi experience today was excellent. My piggies were treated with great care and are very happy. I also needed a simple nail trim / file without manicure and Tina did a perfect job making them all even and square for me again. I received no added pressure to upgrade the services, got exactly what I wanted and will definitely be coming back again. Worst "manicure" ever. They have several signs advertising a hybrid gel service called "T.A.P" so I opted for this rather than a gel polish. I assumed that they were good at doing this service because they have a banner hanging on the wall and several card board photos posted on the shelf with different colors of the gel. She did not trim my cuticles but rather just put the gel over them. The gel is on my skin and you cannot see the distinction of where my bal meets my skin on my fingers. Happy Nails in A1A North Publix shopping center. Tina, Alex, Linda, Chrissy, Tom and now Julie. They are so good. They do care about you so they treat your appointments with care. I love my Tina. I told her one time to really get into my toes that are ingrown. Was there as a party of three for manis and jelly pedis. Soaked my feet for less than 5 minutes. The owner who worked on me was rough and kept nipping me I finally went to the table for manicure and was treated like I was a not worthy of their service. We walked out of the appt and I ended up going back because my nails were lumpy, and Looked like pure garbage. I got her daughter the second time and she wouldn't even speak to me. Four hours later and my nails were terrible. Worst and most expensive service I've ever had. Will not ever go back and will not ever encourage anyone I know to waste their time or money! read more

SIDE NOTE: I am local - not San Fran. I am fairly certain I have never given a one star review for any services, but after the poor care given my daughter and her friend - topped with incredibly rude responses from two of the staff - I feel compelled to speak my peace. My daughter and a friend went in for french tips (one white and the other IG inspo green with designs). they were both disappointed, but felt uneasy with the staff after being told by these women that they didn't ask for nail trimming and caused the bleeding. YES - they were both bleeding. One nail tech said my daughter's friend went to the bathroom and ripped open her own cuticle just to complain. The same woman refused to take my payment (for sub par services) because she couldn't hold it and needed to pee, telling me that I could wait. They offered us a $5 discount on each set - yay - which decreased my cost to $100 for poorly executed tips in full white and likewise for the designs on the other set (at least the latter had relatively decent nails - just too long). After having one of these women just short of yell at us, and the other do little to rectify the issue, I paid and left. I paid a different tech who offered to take my money while the other one was busy peeing. Side note! Since they don't take Apply Pay I asked to go get a card from my vehicle and offered to leave my phone behind as "collateral" to which the rude tech - not the one who actually checked me out - responded, "good!" Why did I pay for this ridiculous experience? Because they AT NO POINT offered me anything other than a $5 discount and I really didn't feel like dealing with the authorities in the middle of the day while attempting to treat these two girls to a nail day. Also, I frequent this Publix area and don't want to deal with this place trying to mar me as a customer. I will never go back and I hope to find a reputable nail salon in Ormond-by-the-Sea that will hopefully fix these girls up without ripping me off. read more

However, I called to get my nail repaired and was told it was $6 dollars. It was not mentioned to me that there was a $10 minimum on a card until I showed up and paid. I don't usually leave reviews but I'm pretty disappointed right now. I went here because I live close by. I've gotten quick manis before here and they were never awful but never great. I got a pedicure and a dip manicure. First off, they work so quickly the quality is low. They cut my heel so hard during the pedicure it hurts to stand. My dip manicure looks like a 5 year old did it, she didn't trim my cuticles or even even out the nails nor give them any shape. I never even got lotion put on me. The girl next to me had her nails soaking in acetone for like a half hour- I think next time, I'll drive a few minutes out of the way to get something quality. First of all the Salon us very clean and covid precautions are very evident. They take your temp as you walk in..then have you wash you hands. Chairs are separates with plexiglass screens. Everyone is masked. I get basic mani and pedi . Prices are reasonable and the job is thorough. I usually just walk in and today with 4 people working I was taken immediately. Despite the bad reviews of this place, I have had a good experience the couple times I have been here. I came in yesterday to get a pedicure + gel manicure. For both it was $45 which is about what most salons charge anyways so it was a fair price. The girl I had did not rush through my pedicure or manicure like some do. Although I was the only one in the place, I really appreciated the extra scrub she gave to my feet, and she even did a nice job removing the dead skin and callous from feet without any additional charge. Most places won't even spend the time scrubbing your feet unless you pay for the callous remover. I wish I knew the girl's name who did both my toes and nails, but I will definitely be looking for her again next time I come. The owner and staff were all really nice too. Took my teenage granddaughter to Happy Nails for mani pedi. Male nail tech was working with client in the chair next to where my granddaughter was waiting. He kept staring at my granddaughter saying her simple shell ankle bracelet was "vodoo" and that teenagers "didn't know anything", that she "didn't know what she wanted" - going on and on about her appearance and making negative comments. He made he quite uncomfortable - so we excused ourselves and left. I understand they work with predominantly older clients, but perhaps he needs sensitivity training dealing with female younger clientele. So my husband and I are on vacation and came here to get a pedicure. We called at 12 for a 2 couple pedicure. We walk in and get out in chairs. My husbands gets his started and my water gets started. If I could give a negative star I would! I went in for a gel fill / shellac polish & pedicure. They truly don't know what they're doing! They used the powder that's used for acrylics first & when I questioned it they topped it with the gel then. The shellac is clumpy & paint has started coming off the ends when I washed my hands for the first time! They scrubbed so hard on my heals for my pedicure that my heal has now cracked! probably the worst pedicure i've ever gotten. the lady who did my nails was rude, rushed the entire time, literally rammed into the side of me while i was standing waiting for my friend to be finished and i wasn't even in her way. she didn't even put lotion on my legs after the exfoliation which i thought was weird because the other two people i was with got the same basic pedicure and got lotion. i could tell the service was rushed. we came from out of town and went to the closest nail place there was but we definitely will not be going back here again. read more

The ladies in here are SO SWEET, but unfortunately that can't make up for the quality :( I got acrylics done and I left with them all uneven and crooked, even after asking for it to be fixed. I ended up having to go home and shape them myself, even though I know the gel will peel off now, they were just so bad I had to do something. She also used a drill under my nails and tore up the skin under there to where it is still hurting. Regardless of that, my nails were smooth, no lumps, and the lady was really so kind but I can't find myself paying again to have to go home and fix my nails myself and be hurting. read more

I decided to give this place a try despite the bad reviews (many times people don't post the good ones) but I have to agree. The atmosphere was fine and they were friendly but the quality was amateur at best. I went in for gel acrylic's and she went so fast she burned me and by the time I went to wash my hands I saw how uneven and bumpy they were. I basically had to have her add a second layer, which then made them too thick. I had the american manicure so you can see the errors underneath and one looks cracked.
