I'm new to Port Orange and tried two other salons before I found Phoenix. First impressions: Awesome decor and nice relaxed vibe, looked super clean, including the restroom. the chairs were newer and worked! I was there in the morning and they were not very busy. The young man that greeted me was very polite and the woman, Mindy who did my nails was very sweet, although I don't think she understood much English. She did a beautiful job on my dip, not too thick like my previous salon, (didn't want to go back there)! It was a pleasant experience. I would change the choice of background music though. I have gone to Phoenix Nails twice now. Both times I had Ryan as my tech. He was professional and extremely gentle with my nails. Never hurt me with the drill or hurt my cuticles. I got a dipping powder mani both times and he got the shape I was asking for perfect both times. The absolute worst nail experience I have ever had. My nails were crooked, uneven, the paint and acrylic were uneven and the design was awful. But, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, and went in to get them fixed the next day. After spending an hour and a half there, my nails were even worse. I finally asked her to please just put a gloss on and let me go. She insisted I stay even longer, despite the fact that the entire time I had been there, she made the problem even worse and refused to refund my money, as it was obvious I was going to need to get them redone somewhere else. I will never be back or recommend this place to any one. I went to VNails, got everything removed and fixed and they did wonderfully. read more

Do not waste your time. They have no idea what they are going. I have dip nail that are square and I needed one fixed. The nail tech argued with me that I had pink dip on them when it is clear. She argued me that she needed to file the side to even it out. It would have take 10 minutes tops to get one one nail fixed at my salon... they took 25 to trash my nail. read more

I've been here two times - both were bad experiences. My first time here me and my sister chose a color and the one that ended up on our nails were completely different color. They did nothing to resolve this. This second time we were in the middle of a pedicure when customers came in with appointment. She suggested the red dye would rinse off at home. It did... after three days. pedicure lasted two weeks. Nails.. not so much. I'm appreciative of the fact they fit me in, but $70 and 2-12 wks later, I'm left looking for another salon. Definitely this Phoenix didn't rise. read more

I brought my daughter to Phoenix Nails after she had her nails done poorly by a friend. They were so gracious and gentle with her and it took 30 minutes to get the very thick acrylics off. The nail techs worked hard to make her feel better and she left with a beautiful set of nails. read more

TW: Blood They are so aggressive on your nails and do not use new tools for pedicures. They sand your nails too thin and use too much glue on tips. Also one time I broke a nail and it got infected. I did not know and went to the salon and after they removed the SNS nail there was blood and pus coming out of the split in my nail. They insisted on working on my nail and did not want me to leave. This was incredibly unsanitary, rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend this place. read more

You ignored her even though she and my wife had an appointment. You treated my white wife like a queen and wouldn't even make eye contact with my daughter (adult). Did a great job repairing my SNS nails. Even matched the color I already had (I was doing some yard work and broke two off) my usual salon was closed over that particular holiday weekend. The tech did a great job considering I did not want a new set and I will definitely use them as a back-up salon in the future. read more

I gave the place three try's. First time I liked the variety they offered in the SNS. Second time they wrap your fingers in acetone to make the nails come fully off. Not good for skin or cuticles. Third time just want to have them filled that was it and apparently they don't fill cause they again soaked my fingers and took off all the nails. Then after an hour spent getting my nails done. One hand was close to finish but something wasn't right so the nail tech clipped the nails off and wanted to yet again soak and start over. I have gone 3 weeks before and never had my nails looking bad but both times I had my nails done here my cuticles looked bad and I broke a nail. I personally don't have the time to waste at a nail salon. I only left my last place because it was harder and harder to get in and don't have the same schedule all the time or a lengthy time available. I will never go back. read more

Great staff and very accommodating to me and my family who all went at the same time. It was my nieces first nail experience and they treated her like a queen!! She was pampered in the kid sized pedicure chair while they cared for the ray of us. The nail dipping on our nails lasted several weeks and was a quick and easy application. It is really hard to understand them, and even when they are talking about your service they do it in their language. They are very unprofessional and I would not recommend anybody to go there. I happened to do a drop-in here on my way to Port Canaveral and LOVED this salon. I rang them ahead of time and they said no problemo in fitting me in. When I entered- the first thing I noticed is how incredibly clean it is and well maintained. The staff were all so incredibly nice too. I chatted it up with a 'regular' who happened to be sitting next to me gettin her nails did too and she said she couldn't be happier with the service she received there. They have a plethora of colors to choose from so you could spend an hour deciding nail color alone. I happened to get a gel manicure and it was wonderful. My manicurist - Precise and clean - I admire that he truly cared about his work and it mattered to him that I was happy with his service. I wouldn't hesitate to make this place a permanent pit stop if I lived there. Think about this - beautiful mani/pedi and way cheaper than on a cruise ship.
