Read a lot of reviews for nail salons when we first moved to Ormond Beach a little over a year ago and happy to have found Super Nails not far from our house! Bao, the owner, is super nice and always accommodating if I have to change my appointment time and date occasionally. He has also done my pedicure several times - great job! My regular nail tech is Calista and she is great! She does a wonderful job (gently!!! So important to me after having been to other salons and suffering abrasions on my feet from rough treatment!!). My elderly mom and I both had pedicures done here. Her nail tech was Maya, and she was nothing short of amazing! Not only did she do a great job with my mom's nails (and they needed some work, believe me), she went above and beyond in helping my mom get in and out of the pedi chair and even into the car! She saw my mom had a walker and she offered to put my mom in one of their chairs with wheels and wheeled her down the sidewalk to our car, which was parked in the handicap spot several spaces down. She even helped get her out of the chair and into my car. Service like that is rarely seen; Maya is beyond wonderful and we will continue to go there and ask for her :) read more

They do not give massages with lotion in their pedicures. Neither my friend or I received any type of foot or leg massage beyond when they briefly rubbed the salt/exfoliater. Worst pedicure ever. read more

If I could rate this a zero I would. Walking in I explained I wanted a gel pedicure. During the pedicure she didn't open a new package of equipment. When exfoliating my legs she didn't rinse off the exfoliator and placed a warm rag on my leg and didn't even rinse it off. She filed my toes uneven. And on top of that I didn't get gel nail polish. This salon was a little further out from the beach than we wanted, but it was so worth it. I had actually called about 6 other locations and the 5 that picked up the phone did not answer in a professional way! No one could accommodate 3 pedicures at one time, but this salon said they could happily seat all three of us. The salon was clean, nicely decorated and very friendly. It was a very pleasant change to have technicians that were happy in their job, engaged appropriately AND SPOKE IN ENGLISH TO EACH OTHER. (Too many other locations I have had ladies holding full conversations in another language where they were obviously talking about the customers) My pedicure was fantastic- possibly the best I have experienced (I think his name was Rex). I had been there one time before the last, and everything went average, so I decided to give it another try because I had quick event coming up and I thought they would be the quickest and cheapest place possible. First, I didn't know they were that busy, and when I got there they only had 3 girls working and they told me that I needed to wait 20 minutes to get seated for a pedi. ( I walked in) Ok, no problem I understand them not expecting me. 10 -12 minutes passed and one of the girls called me to the chair, since it looked like she was almost finished with the customer she had at the moment (she had put the warm towels on her) so I figured she would get me in the water while she dries her up and does her polish and then come to me. Well, after she gets me in the water, she realizes her next appointment arrived, so she apologizes a thousand times and puts her appointment on the chair right next to mine, and starts doing her pedi. She says that some one will be right with me.. meanwhile I spent about 20 min with my feet on the water ( I actually took them out from time to time, because I know that the product they use is very astringent and can dry you up it used for too long). It wasn't until she saw that I started taking my feet out more often, that she called out for another girl to take care of me; apparently she was in the back finishing threading a client's eyebrows. She did my nails , recommended extra products, like normal... I felt like she might have started to cut me too much around the nails, and I told her that she didn't need to. Ok fine, she did my massage, did the polish and told me I was ready. So I went to pay and the girl disappeared. I asked the other girl doing a mani and she had to stop what she was doing so that she could charge me. I left my pedicurist a tip, and still couldn't give it to her, because the lady at the register didn't know where she was. The worst part was that when I woke up next day, I realized she did cut too much of my cuticle and it was infected!! I had to nurse it for 3 days for it to get better. I'm always afraid of this, but I can't say that I saw the place wasn't clean or the tools weren't disinfected (she pulled them out of a new pouch) but I know that her rushing and not paying attention (she talked a lot, to to other people) probably caused her to go to deep when cutting and something got caught there.. I'm really disappointed because this place is right around the corner.. I don't think I'm coming back.. read more

I have been a customer of Super Nails for a long time and on my last visit, Bao (the owner) did my nails. I requested the pink and white full set ($40) but was quite surprised that the quality of the once wonderful service has declined. Three of my nails all have visible issues which isn't something that I would usually expect from Super Nails. I'm pretty unhappy with them and will go somewhere else for my fill-in. read more

I have never had such a terrible experience the minute I walked through the door. In their defense I probably should've turned around and walked out the door. Once I said what I needed no one spoke to me but instead spoke to each other. Never told me where to sit because they're too busy talking to each other. I had gel nail polish on and they didn't respect my wishes of not using the drill, which is not a necessity when it comes to gel polish. They actually upcharged me because I didn't want the drill on my nails! To go on, all the tools used on me were not one time use. The nail file was black, looked like they hadn't bought a new one since they opened. read more

Excellent !! Best nail salon in Ormond. My services consisted of a mani/pedi gel.. And waxing. Let's touch first on appearance. The salon was full of beautiful decor, inviting colors. Very clean and I saw girls that were free cleaning and straightening up! Very inciting atmosphere and relaxing. Polish collection was huge. 400+ colors of gel polish including darks, lights , brights!! Regular nail polish was great too. 75 colors of matching shades to the gel. Every opi color under the moon! Also a new brand I have not seen .. Morgan Taylor. This had some awesome glitter colors! My pedicure was great for the $25 it included lots of extras. Hot towel treatment , mask and scrub and all these were packages separately just for me !! This was a huge sanitary thing for me. I did not get the paraffin treatment that was included with the deluxe pedicures but did see it was also in little bags for each customer ! GREAT! The tools they used on me were also packaged per customer in sanitary bags. I really enjoyed the waxing which was with chocolate wax , with sticks that were used for me and only me. I have been having my nails done at Super Nails for 5 years. Today I had a gal named Jenny, she was rough and actually hurt me. After leaving the salon and having lunch with friends one (who also has her nails done at Super Nails), said "Sandy, why not get a professional manicure, you have polish all over the tips of your fingers" I explained to them that I just left super nails, so 5 women now will never use Jenny!! We have been to soooo many different "so-called" nail salons in the Daytona-Ormond Beach area through the years...these salons where dirty, had a limited no-name selection of polish & did not speak english (excuse me if I come across rude yet speaking a different language infront of customers is RUDE & down-right unclassy!) Super Nails has a TON of OPI nail polish (over 100 at best guess) to pick from and a TON of gel manicure colors (at least 100 again) with the matching toe polish! Huge!! So, I have only been here once (today) and my visit was quite pleasant. I recently moved into the Ormond area and was in dire need of a nail salon. Prior to my move, I went to TK nails on ISB and Clyde Morris, but I wasn't feeling the drive there. So I looked at some nearby salons and came across Super Nails. Now upon my arrival, I noticed that they were extremely busy so I was already expecting a wait time. I waited for an hour and the owner escorted me to Rec and he took care of me. I received a fill, cut down, and nail repair which totaled up to $18. Not bad. The nail techs are all nice and sincere. I will be back for more services, but I'll book an appointment to avoid any waits, lol. read more

Loud, dirty, very unprofessional. Coming from someone that gets pedicures every 2 weeks-this was honestly the worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. I was going to leave without paying. It is a small, noisy and overcrowded salon. I went in after a long day at work hoping to become relaxed and ended up even more stressed. The Vietnamese and English speaking nail techs and their children speak loudly across the room to each other the entire time.They use dirty, used tools and the nail tech was very rude and actually washed the tools such as the sponge, Callus remover and cuticle trimmer in the pedicure water and left the sponge in there. My toenails were cut painfully short and uneven and I could have done a better job painting them. My nail tech left to wax someone's eyebrows and left me in the pedicure chair. I came in with my bridal party to get the mani-pedi spa package for myself and two of my girls with a polish change for a third. Bubbles, Bao, and Giovanni took GREAT care of us and did a quality job. My american manicure looked a little cloudy on my big toe, but before I could even say anything about it, Giovanni was swiping it off and re-applying. One of my bridesmaids HATES pedicures, but said that she really enjoyed the one she received Saturday from Bao. My second bridesmaid loved working with Bubbles. As a mom of 3 little ones, she said that Bubbles really helped her feel relaxed. Coming in on a very stressful day, they were super accommodating and helped us to have a really relaxing morning. If you come in, I highly recommend making appointments, since they appear to do pretty brisk business. While they do walk ins, it would probably be in your best interest, time wise, to have an appointment.
