I did a walk-in appointment on 11/22. The guy barely talked to me the whole appointment (very uncomfortable when I was already nervous about a new place!!), which I could have gotten over had he done a good job on the nail application. The nails looked great, but he didn't put a base coat before applying gel polish and then did two top coats. The paint was so thin my nails were still bending so the gel provided no protection. I tried to talk about it with the woman who checked me out, but all she said was "they skip base coat all the time and no one has complained." I bet they just didn't come back! It literally started chipping by the next day. I tried to put a top coat on to preserve them. By 12/30, a huge chunk of polish chipped off. I spent a lot of money on these nails and to have them barely make it a week is pathetic. Very disappointing!! Edit: When I called and talked to a manager, she told me that the nails are supposed to start chipping after a month and offered to discount the money I would have to pay to get them fixed. I appreciated her offering a discount, but if I'm going to have to pay for a fix, I'll go somewhere else. Thanks anyway! read more

Firstly, this salon is beautiful, very clean, and fairly friendly most of the time. Unfortunately I've had mixed results coming here - I keep wanting to love it so I keep going back. I think I'm done though. One visit, I had a relaxing pedicure - no complaints. Another visit I got the most stunning dip powder nails - I never wanted the color to end. On another visit, I got my eyebrows waxed and the technician burned my skin. I let her know, and she said "oh it's not too hot, you have very sensitive skin." I told her I don't, and I've had my eyebrows waxed and threaded for many years and I'm quite tough - I know when the wax is burning, the wax was too hot. She proceeded with my brows and burned my skin two more times and seemed unfazed when I expressed discomfort both times. It was appalling. Another time I requested dipping powder nails in a neutral color. The technician kept pressuring me to add sparkle because the neutral color was "too boring" - I was getting a neutral color for a work event and kept telling her this. She pressured me to try the sparkle on one nail and I finally said "ok" - it didn't look the way I wanted my nails to look so she tried a second sparkle, which I agreed to. Again, it was not what I wanted so she removed the sparkle but kept commenting on how boring they looked and was disappointed I didn't add a sparkle top coat. When I left, my nails were almost bulbous from the layers of powder - they were awful but I just wanted to get away from her - I didn't want to sit there any longer. Another visit I was having my dip powder removed and adding a gel color. When the technician was removing the powder he commented on how thin my nails were - I agreed, they have been thin my whole life unfortunately. He was using the file drill and I flinched because the drill was wearing away at my real nails. I looked at two nails in particular and they are so worn, I'm actually worried there is damage to them. I can almost feel my skin. I even asked if he thought I should avoid painting my nails this time around since they were sensitive and thin. He said no, next time. He then proceeded to paint my nails the color I chose. After painting one nail, I said "oh I'm not sure after all - the color is lighter than I expected" and he said it will look better after another coat. It didn't but I just wanted to leave because my fingers were throbbing. When I got home I removed the paint from my $50 manicure and I can see my skin so close to the nail breaking. I should have stood up for myself and spoke up - I know I could have said something sooner or more loudly - but just the fact that I've had to tell someone I was in pain or repeatedly say I didn't like something is just annoying when you're a customer and you've been sitting in a chair for nearly two hours. Going to a nail salon should be relaxing and a treat, not a safety concern where you can't wait to escape the torture the technicians are causing. read more

Adding to the list of 5 star reviews I also highly recommend Mai. Her daughter is the receptionist and I suggest appointments because I hear they are usually very busy and can't take walk-ins. I had a crazy Sunday of so many salons being crowded, closed, or simply unwilling to do pedicures due to lack of staff. I got a regular white polish in deluxe pedicure ($45) and I am very happy. White is a tricky color so I prefer getting it at salons. They don't really have color mood change polish, but the perfect match selections are readily available. I'll be back! read more

The fellow who did my nails did a great job. 10 days later I got one of my nails caught wrapped in my dog's leash and broke it right off. I am VERY upset by my experience at this nail salon. I got a gel french pedicure, the water for my pedicure was room temperature which I thought was odd but other than that my pedicure service was fine. The issue was my dip manicure, I asked for French and that was the end of my communication with the technician, he did not ask me what shape what length or if I liked the color pink he used. Then when I asked if he could file my nails down more he said I should've told him sooner and then scoffed and sighed. Horrible attitude the whole time and then when I left and went in natural light I noticed I had a million little bubbles in my nails making it look like I had a glitter polish on. I had an appointment I had to go to so I left and came back, the girl at the front desk was apologetic and asked for my tech to come and fix them, he sat down and told me this is just what dip looks like and then started to file his own nails. Another technician came over and acted like I was insane and told me this is just what dip looks like and asked me to look at another customers nails who was getting the same done. I will not walk over to another woman and judge her nails mid manicure that is so unprofessional and rude. I have been getting my nails done for ten years I have gotten dozens of sets of dip nails with french and it has NEVER looked like this. I am furious at the customer service I received and I am unhappy with the nails that I got for a wedding I am in tomorrow. Very very disappointed with this experience. read more

Extremely unprofessional. Went yesterday and had to wait 20 minutes before they even started on me, but that wasn't even the issue. When I finally got a nail tech to do my pedicure, She would randomly without warning get up every 3 minutes and would be gone for 5 minutes at a time. After doing this 3 different times she gave me a different tech that gave me a poor nail polish application. There is nail polish on my skin. Fantastic acrylics... I received French tip and "Ben" made the tips with powder rather than nail polish which looked gorgeous. They have nice pedicure chairs, are skilled artists, are professional, clean space, offer facials & waxing...and I appreciated their hand wash station (rather than wash your hands in the bathrooms like most do).
