Fortunately, there was no traffic so it was a 20 min drive easily. However, a lot seemed to have changed from about a year ago? We got popcorn chicken which was $9 for a very tiny plate (like the medium size sampler food container you get at food tasting events) which is a joke of a portion, and the chicken was not even good quality - heavy on the batter. Compared to pictures a year ago, where the portions looked much much larger. They are so stingy on the amount of chicken, that I thought they were giving us a sample to try before they make a real batch lmaooooo. I tried the Kocochi milk tea with creme brulee, boba, jelly, etc. Sounds good on paper, inflation I get it, was expecting $7 but it was $8, plus tax, so it is actually not that competitive of a price anymore now that I think about it. I could get a very good quality boba drink for $7.50+tax elsewhere without all the fancy toppings, but with boba included. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The boba is so overcooked that it is mushy, and the creme brulee was not thick enough that I have to use a spoon to even be able to get any of it out (instead of being able to drink it from the other side which is what it is supposed to be). I'd avoid this place unless this is a one off but I will need to be redeemed a better experience before recommending this place. There are better options in the area

I got the toffee milk tea with matcha jelly at 30% sugar and 70% ice. This was the IDEAL combination. Perfectly sweet with a hint of the bitterness from the tea. The matcha jelly was firm and earthy, I broke it up with the straw and it was the perfect topping. One of the best milk teas I've had in a while. I will definitely be back to try their other flavors. I'm a huge fan of the tea jelly toppings and it's so refreshing on a hot day.

The boba here is perfectly chewy and sweetened. I am not much of a jelly person, but they're pretty good too. I once got a drink with both boba and jelly and it didn't leave much room for the tea, so I have to limit myself to one topping now! The black tea is slightly muted with the milk there, so that there's no astringency. The buckwheat tea has a pretty strong toasty buckwheat flavor. Yum! Initially, when this business opened, parking was horrible with people jousting for street parking (with an already busy Goodwill down the street) and people parking at the plaza across the street (which will get you towed). Now that the hype has died down, you can use the Ember parking garage around the corner, although it's kind of annoying to park in.

Time to Order: 7 Minutes We stopped into Tobi's on the way home from a failed fishing trip up north and were craving something sweet. Holy moly, what a hidden gem. I tried the creme brulee pearl latte (my friend's which he ordered by accident) and the dalgona honeycomb toffee latte with boba (my drink). The creme brulee pearl latte was probably the best creme brulee drink I've ever had. I usually avoid these because they're overly sweet, but this one actually hit all of the notes of smokiness, creaminess, and flavor without overpowering sweetness. Actually impressive. The dalgona honeycomb toffee latte was phenomenal. Strong coffee flavor (which means a lot coming from me - only Vietnamese coffee affects me anymore, I have a strong caffeine tolerance) and the toffee is a great topping that retains its texture even after the drink is completed. The boba texture was perfect in a cold drink, the toppings were unique, and the drinks were excellent. Highly recommend as a hidden gem.

Boba Milk Tea, Medium, 25% Sweet ($4.85) - I've only gotten boba in the afternoon from 85C, most recently from the Lynnwood location, and it wasn't very good at all. I'm guessing they don't rotate the boba at all, so ordering it earlier is better. The boba at 8AM is actually pretty good with a surprisingly decent chew and bounce and a good sweetness on the exterior that's also sticky and soft. The pearls aren't really consistent in size, but are consistent in texture, which is more important. For the tea - 50% sweet is usually way too sweet for me at 85C. 25% is good and not too sweet. Unfortunately there isn't much tea flavor and it mainly tastes milky and creamy. I got here on a Friday around 5:20pm, thoughI'm not sure why I decided to drive so far off Seattle. The menu is lined up on the right-hand side and features all of the items, though their matcha drinks menu is located above the front counter, along with their new items. Staff at the front take your order and bring your food to you when it's ready. For their food I got the following: - Banana pudding matcha: I couldn't tell this was ceremonial matcha till I put my straw farther down the drink past the thick banana pudding layer, and sipped in all those grassy, earthy tones matcha is known for. I got to eat some part of the banana pudding - which has cracker bits that are lighter in color than Biscoff crackers but tasted like them - before stirring a small part of it to finish off this awesome drink that could give places like Phe a run for their money. - Eden Garden special: this is a relatively simple banh mi sandwich with Vietnamese ham and slightly scrambled - and very hot - eggs along with the usual banh mi condiments like jalapenos and julienned carrots. I probably wanted even more protein in this despite the ham and eggs already being that; the banh mi felt like it was missing something. Bread isn't crispy by any means but it is served very warm, therefore it was really easy to chew. It oddly didn't make to much of a mess when I took big bites off it; most of the mess came from some of the condiments - especially the eggs - falling off. Overall I loved this place a lot with the matcha and banh mi I got here! It's quite out the way of Seattle but lately some interesting hidden gems with better taste profiles have not been in the heart of this state, like this place for instance.
