I love most of the drinks from this store, but 95% of the time I have to wait 30+ minutes to get my waffle, and it's just such a hassle to go inside the mall... Getting a bubble tea at CoCo takes me 15 minutes, getting one here can take almost an hour (if I order a waffle). I hope they open one up OUTSIDE the mall someday. read more

so-so bubble spot inside the Belle Square mall. Seems bubble tea has even become more mainstream this past year as 2-3 joints have popped up in every mall in the area. Happy lemon always has a line out the door so they must be doing something right but honestly, my drink was underwhelming. The Boba was a little on the soggy side which seems surprising given how much of it they should be going through with a constant line out the door. It's also super slow...we literally had to wait over 20 minutes just for our drink order. The store is always a mess. Appearance is everything so please get someone to tidy up the counters. I'll give it another try and hopefully will be able to order some food next time. read more

Was here Yesterday, my first time and there was a long line. Many drinks were out so I couldn't get my first options of drinks which was kinda disappointing.. The store itself is pretty small, so everything was pretty cramped with all the people waiting in line to order and people waiting to get their drinks. It was very hard to hear over the music and people for our orders. And there were a very limited people working there in the front to take our orders. The drinks came out maybe 10 minutes but the bubble waffles took a long time and only one person making them. I had the Mango green tea shake and it was okay. A famous chain milk tea store in China. The rock salt crema series has been my favorite since I was in China. I went there in the first day of the grand opening, and waited for more than half an hour to get my drink. They will upgrade One drink from M to L for each order, and they mentioned you can get two stamps for each drink, but I didn't get any stamp today. I ordered the black tea rock salt cream, and the crema was great. I'd try the avocado one next time since it's only offered in the US. I've had happy lemon back in California multiple times, but here in Washington was my first time. I believe their menu for the cream series is a little different since it's called "rock salt creama." In California, they're known for having it called, cheese foam, no major difference so I came here with friends to check it out. Obviously, the cream was saltier but still had the foamy texture sitting on top of the milk tea. The milk tea tasted great as it should be and the foam made it a lot more fun to sip the tea. The employees are average...nothing special but the waffles is good enough to go back and wait in line for. To begin my review: I am legit a boba addict. :) When I heard about a new bubble tea place opening so close to work, I was very excited to try it to see if it rivals my favorite spot. Every time I have gone to Happy Lemon, even if the line to order was not long, the wait time for my order to be completed always takes a LONG time...so be prepared to wait for your order. They use FRESH ingredients here (i.e. real fruit) but the time to make the drinks is something that can definitely be improved upon. While I think their bubble tea drinks are good, there are a couple of things to note: 1) Overall their variety is lacking compared to other bubble tea places. They do not have oolong as a tea option and their fruit teas are pretty lacking. 2) Their prices are a little higher than other places that I go to. 3) They offer TARO BALLS as a topping! There are VERY FEW places in the Greater Seattle Area that offers that as a topping so this is a MUST GET when you go! 4) Some of their drinks on the menu you cannot change the ice level (for whatever reason). The only way you can find that out is if you order it and they let you know. My favorite drink I get here is the Mango Jasmine Green Tea and the Grapefruit Jasmine Green Tea. I'm very happy another bubble tea place opened around here especially close to work but I find myself usually going to Sharetea Bellevue instead because I want to avoid waiting in long lines. read more

I'm really not sure how to grade this place there are so many conflicting details. Got in line at 4:10 and got my order at 5:10 so total waiting about an hour on a Sunday afternoon. Be prepared folks go at an off time. I got the milk tea with sea salt crema and an add on of tapioca. This drink was honestly so much better than I was expecting. The milk tea does not have any aftertaste or leave your mouth feeling as if it's covered in sugar. The sea salt crema does not taste like cheese haha. I've never had it before so I was skeptical and worried about what I was getting myself into. But it's a popular choice so of course had to try. It's a thick fluffy cream that's sweet yet salty and goes well with the milk tea. You can sip it out the lid or put a straw in to get boba too. I tried both ways. Personally I prefer a straw so you don't get too much crema over the tea. Especially half way down each sip will be different boba and tea and crema. Kind of like a macchiato where you get sips of coffee then milk if you don't stir. It's so filling honesty could take the place of a meal. The boba is nicely chewy and had a little flavor. The drink overall reaches room temp so quickly but it still tastes good. Just don't expect it to be as refreshing then. More like a full dessert than a light drink. read more

Gave this a try because of the long lines outside. The first time I didn't get a waffle because it was a very long wait, so just got a drink. Second time, they put in a third waffle machine and finally got a couple. The drinks were good and the waffles were not bad. It was quite popular in China and one of my favorite milk teas when I was in Shanghai. I'm thrilled that it opened in Bellevue and stopped by after its grand opening. I arrived before noon on a weekend, and it was already a long line there. Loved the menu, which was cute. The salt cream was their special, and I had a regular size jasmine tea with rock salt cream. Wanted to add taro balls as topping, but it was not available at the moment, which was a bummer. Took about 15min to get my drink. The waffle making is probably the only one you can find around here and the aroma is amazing. They finally have a number counter that will show you what number is next so you can wait outside the place and into the mall. When my number was called she put the 4 drinks on the counter, I looked at her and asked for a tray?? She looked confused and gave me one and I packed it myself. I ordered a half chocolate and half original bubble waffle and let me just say, my experience was horrendous. I ordered at 4:55, and didn't receive my waffle until I asked about it an hour later (5:50). When i eventually received it, all i got was a small apology for the wait and a rushed majority chocolate waffle.
