You will find this inside the Crossroads Mall on the outside of the food court. People that love boba tea find that this is a safe go-to when they want to be sure they are going to get a good boba...not necessarily the best they have had, but a good one. It is always consistent. Service is like all the other food vendors in the mall. They do not smile and you are lucky if they even great you. They seem to be there to do the minimum and collect their paycheck. But so many places seem like that these days. Not sure you would have a different experience at another place. Ambiance...well, it is a food court. I can't say much on the other drinks and flavors here, but I do like the Grapefruit Green Tea because they put actual grapefruit in it. Although it doesn't say you can adjust sugar level (I've never asked), the Grapefruit Green Tea actually isn't too sweet. I stumbled upon Boba Express while out running errands and thought I'd give it a try. It's located inside Crossroads mall and gives hole-in-wall energy. The first thing I noticed was that the glass was covered in posters, so it was hard to see inside. There was a window area where I could place my order with a menu hanging behind. I ordered a small fruit smoothie and added boba and the total came out to $5.50, which seems overpriced for a size small, but I have to say it was really tasty. The fruit smoothie was the perfect sweetness and the boba was delicious, however it took up a big portion of my smoothie. I almost wish I got more of the fruit smoothie and a little less boba. Overall I might return if I'm in the area again, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way. read more

By far one of the best boba I've drank. However, I truly believe which drink you order, I always order the passion fruit milk tea as I suggest you do too. The flavored milk teas are the only think on their drinks menu which is good. There is a catch though, the mango one is veryyy sweet so be aware. However the boba and lychee jelly have an amazing texture. Lastly, the popcorn chicken also slays :) this place is also very cheap compared to others. The service is very quick. 3 1/2 stars, to be fair. This is a very generic bubble tea spot, conveniently located in crossroads mall. It looks quite run down and a bit dirty, if I'm honest. But the ladies seemed to follow proper food handling guidelines, so I think it is more just the general vibe of the store. I asked for water and because they were out of cups I agreed to pay .75 for a bubble tea cup. It was cute. My taro bubble tea with tapioca tasted good and the tapioca was cooked well. The texture that is expected. Although there were quite a few random tiny balls mixed in (like the size of nerds candies) so that was strange. But no complaint here. Hubby got a peach smoothie and it tasted good, but was not mixed together well so there were sips of pure peach sugary-ness. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but I would get it again if I were in the neighborhood. read more

Looks unimpressive, customer service could use some work, but they are fast, the bubble tea taste is great and it's super convenient. Fast, reasonably priced, and delicious gets 5 stars from me. Don't judge the book by it's cover when looking at this place for bubble tea. They are super quick which is wonderful when I'm (or anyone) is in a hurry. I've been here maybe 7? Average place for bubble tea my opinion. But I won't count them out yet after only one experience. Pros: Decent prices and convenient location in Crossroads Bellevue mall for a quick fix. Cons: Needs work on the ratio of the powder in the drink. I never thought it would happen, but for the first time ever I didn't finish my bubble tea. In fact I threw half of it away. Ordered a Thai Tea Smoothie and it was straight up bad. First of all, by definition, a smoothie should be smooth. This had baby teeth sized chucks of ice throughout the smoothie. Second, since it was not blended well and there was hardly any dairy, it didn't have that creamy consistency a good bubble tea smoothie should have. The tea goes up the straw and the ice stays in the cup. Finally, the flavor of the tea was not right and whatever they use to sweeten it left a weird artificial aftertaste. After a while, I just didn't want to drink it anymore. On top of the bad bubble tea they have a $4 min for credit cards and their drinks are priced conveniently under $4, so you have to buy something else or pay more. If I'm at Crossroads walking by I might give it another try, but there are too many bubble tea shops that I like in the area to go out of my way. read more

Extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service at Boba Express. I couldn't even believe what happened today until after I walked away! We ordered a Thai iced tea with boba and accidentally dropped it in front. It spilled everywhere and the cup was dripping and asked if we could dispose of it behind the counter. They said "there's a trash bin behind you". We were already standing there dripping in sugary liquid and you want us to walk another 10 feet and have us drop more liquid and create a hazard on the way over.... ok. Then we ask do you have any way to call custodial services to clean this up? They said, "yeah they'll probably come by". Uh alright so you just want to look at this spilled drink in front of your store. Then I ask if we could get another thai iced tea and they said they would charge us for it.... I couldn't even believe the lack of remorse they had. This store was incapable of providing any sort of customer satisfaction when we were in distress. I've seen smaller businesses with more to lose and offer a drink after an accident. This is not a way to retain and gain repeat customers. I will no longer provide any sort of business here. My companion was there and she was sure that I ordered the flavor I wanted. Despite this they didn't make any effort to make things right.
