It's disappointing to hear these complaints from employees, as someone who personally has worked within fields like this, scheduling and training are the make and break of having happy employees. Not having happy employees and leaving work to certain employees because they have been there longer is not appropriate at all. Right now there's currently one employee who knows the whole menu and how to make menu items in my current time here. I like this environment, but seeing one person carry the task for two other employees is a bit disappointing. Hopefully this changes or vibes to this place will begin to shift and tension within the team will rise.

Unfortunately, I ended up spending nearly $900 on donuts that tasted stale, old, and COLD. Participants described the donuts as frozen -- when I told the owner about the issues we had he told me it was the weather. I had an event experiencing the same weather that had dunkin donuts that tasted perfectly fine and were not impacted by the weather at all. I really like to support small, but it is hard to pay such a large amount for such a poor experience. It was very unclear that their vendor menu was so much different than their shop. Overall, I do not recommend them for large events especially for morning events as they do not serve coffee as a vendor. Very disappointing.

I searched donut places that were on the way and this bakery popped up. Back in Cincinnati we have a donut shop everyone loves to go to so while in Grand Rapids I thought it would be better to get a unique spot instead of Dunkin or Krispy Kreme. When you walk in it has a normal bakery feel with the donuts on display. The variety of donuts isn't anything special but they have all the necessities. Not only that the prices were way better than what I would have predicted ! Only $11 for a dozen donuts! It is very hard to select 12 donuts. The price is definitely better than Marge's Donut Den which I also went to to try out both. These donuts tasted absolute amazing! I pictured myself sitting at a counter with a hot cup of coffee and a fresh donut. Unfortunately, the reality didn't match the photos. The shop itself is a bit dingy and dim, and the counter shown in pictures was blocked with boxes and plastic--no place to sit. I arrived before 11 AM on a Friday and the selection was already pretty picked over. The one worker got swamped when a crowd came in, and the tight space made the whole experience feel rushed. I ordered two donuts (cheap, which was nice), but they were tossed in a bag together with no divider, so the frosting stuck together which made it a pain to get them out of the bag to eat. No napkins were given. Fortunately, I remembered to ask for some. One donut was chocolate with sprinkles, the other had buttercream filling with white frosting. Both were decent, nothing amazing. I tried to sit outside, but the chairs were old and dirty. They looked liked they came from an old elementary school. To top it off, someone came up trying to sell me a "$600" motorcycle helmet for $100. I decided to make a quick exit. If I lived nearby, I might grab a dozen to-go, but it's not worth a special trip. Just average overall.
