Cops & Doughnuts - Central Precinct is a nice bakery with a large selection of donuts. We opted for the Vanilla Frosted Persings (a favorite) and really enjoyed these. The dough was fluffy and not dry. There was a perfect amount of cinnamon swirled into the dough, and the vanilla frosting was creamy and smooth. These donuts were DELICIOUS. The concept of Cops & Doughnuts is fun. The prices are affordable, the doughnut selection is large, ample parking at this location, and the staff was useful and friendly. Overall, a nice chain bakery that is worlds better than anything we have in the area where I live. I would highly recommend a visit to Cops & Doughnuts - Central Precinct if you're road-tripping through the area.

When he rang up the total it was $28.00 I was kinda surprised and asked if that was the total? He said yes. I know I could have said I didn't want them but I just wanted to have them. Then on my way home I got thinking $4.60 for a jelly filled donut that's just way too much for a donut. Especially after a few days I went to Meijer and bought 6 for $4.99 . Actually the pazki from Meijer were better. You wouldn't think that.I guess you live and learn.

Let me start with; they are in a strip mall, very nice small seating area that was well laid out except for customers getting to and from the counter. That was congested with only 6 customers, can not imagine if the tables were full. Now, the me cover the facts. IF you were hoping for a true donut shop or bakery like Robaires....keep driving. The is more of a college/preppy coffee house that has rolls. Oh Yes I said "ROLLS". Thier "donuts" are basically just the bread/roll style with lots of toppings and/or filling. We each tried a donut roll. Not impressed. Got cinnamon rolls to go for the family. Very bready and dense with lots of frosting. If not for the frosting they would be bland. In my opinion. I will never return. BUT I will say it is a nice spot to get overpriced Live Oak coffee and a sweet roll, if you want frosting.

So glad we did! It's in a small quaint downtown Clare. Street parking. Many different goodies to choose from, including donuts, cookies, mini cakes, and much more. They offer day "old" items as self serve in a separate area, so be sure to check it out for a great deal. They also have a storefront with jelly, salsa, cherries, honey and more. Also, tshirts and some other logo apparel and souvenirs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They were very patient when we told them it was our first time and spent time looking at all the options. Very reasonable prices. Probably the freshest baked goods I have ever had. The apple fritter is hands down the best! Pieces of cut apples baked into the donut. Delicious! The blueberry donut has fresh and moist literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate cookie with chocolate frosting is a real treat, very sweet and can be shared. The list goes on and on... every single thing we had was delicious - you can't go wrong with anything! It was so good we made a stop in route going home. This is a definite must try! You may even find yourself making a special trip just to get more of their delicious goodies. Stop in - you won't be disappointed!

It can be a little tricky to find -- my map sent me in circles and even through a gas station! The shop is tucked inside the same building as a Subway, but don't let that fool you. The donuts are amazing. When I walked in, everything was super clean, and the staff greeted everyone with big smiles. The donut selection is smaller than big chains, but every single donut looked fresh, neat, and delicious. I picked up a half‑dozen for under $10 (such a good deal! ) to share with my daughter... and maybe my son if he shows up. Here's what we got: * Apple Fritter - Crispy, full of apples, and covered in shiny glaze. So good. * Maple Cinnamon Roll - Soft, sweet, and one of the best I've ever had. The maple frosting is amazing! * Two Chocolate Cream Long Johns - Long, chocolatey, and filled with smooth cream. * Lemon Bismarck - Soft donut with bright, tangy lemon filling. Not too sweet! * Chocolate Bird's Nest - Chocolate frosting, colorful sprinkles, and a cute cream "nest." Fun AND tasty! The only downside is the distance -- if this place were closer to Cedar Springs, I'd be in trouble. (Seriously, a little popup case at the American Legion would be perfect for coffee runs! ) Bottom line: Sprinkles is fresh, friendly, affordable, and full of heart. Treat yourself to some donut happiness!
