Large store which was pretty cool inside. This location had a lot of donut options! Older woman behind the counter was very grouchy at first but eventually turned around, maybe the group before us put her in a bad mood. Other than that, great place and donuts! read more

The service had an attitude and J understand maybe she was tired it was the very end of her day. She had 45 mins until they close. The ambiance is not somewhere you would want to sit down and hangout in. It's mainly just a place to pick up what you want then leave. The doughnuts were very good though. I LOVE THIS BAKERY. First of all, the theme is really fun, cops and doughnuts is hilarious, and the swag in the store is equally as entertaining. Second, the employees are so friendly. Third, best DATE COOKIES in the world second only to my grandma's date cookies. They are oatmeal raisin, the cookie itself is phenomenal, and then a date filling that looks weird but tastes incredible. You will never find another like it. And, their doughnuts and other cookies are great too! Fun flavors, or plain if you like traditional, the dough is delicious and fresh. All the pastries are just fun and beautiful to look at in the counter. I highly recommend a stop here. Only downside: no espresso drinks. But after those date cookies who cares. I tell everyone I know about this bakery. Plus, you're supporting law enforcement. It's a win win. read more

Cops & Doughnuts have stepped up there game especially on Fat Tuesday. They have the biggest and correct textured paczki in Town (and I'm normally a Barneys fan). The inside/outside presentation was much more professional and cleaner then the last time I was in and the staff was very friendly. I will return. read more

I love these donuts!!! Cops & Doughnuts is an awesome donut shop in downtown Bay City (and many more locations). The location is in the old Sutherlands Bakery, hence the name. Cops & Doughnuts have a large selection of donuts, but I usually go early in the morning. The donuts are HUGE! They are definitely worth the price. The staple donut is the squealer, which is a Long John with maple frosting and bacon on top. Outside of donuts, they do have breads and also merchandise. The shop is small, so you can't eat your donut here, however, it is very close to the Riverwalk which is a nice area on the banks of the Saginaw River. I really love this donut shop and would recommend it! read more

If you've been living under a rock for ten years (or live outside of Michigan) you may have missed it: "100% cop owned" donut shops have been the thing north of Toledo and east of Milwaukee since 2009 because who knows more about donuts than the police? Yea Profiling! Old timey bakery smell and feel: big glass cases have shelves stocked with a variety of baked goods: cookies, cupcakes, and about twenty kinds of donuts most of which are way too big unless you are a trained professional ;-) Lots of items available to show your support for the cause: T-shirts, hat's, mugs, even donut themed pillows (have a hole in the middle). If you're within an hour or so this is as good a destination as any, somewhat better the more local you are. Be aware there are some options when considering crossing three states to commit a pastry. read more

Friendly service, cute shop, their yeast donuts are pretty good, but the cake donuts coated in sugar left a horrible film in my mouth, the cookies and cream filled donut was way too sweet, and the cannolis were really gross, filled with what I'm assuming is buttercream frosting, not traditional cannoli cream. We threw them away. I wouldn't recommend the donuts here to people, just wasn't a fan, and there are no bathrooms... but, like I said, cute shop with friendly service. read more

Hey, guys...I LOVE you. That's right. My foodie fascination with Cops and Doughnuts started with their location in Clare. My friend and I would wake up at 4 a.m. just to get their fresh donuts. You can only imagine my excitement when I found out that they put one in Bay City! The danger! I threw my roommate in the car and took a trip to get fresh doughnuts. We were both in love. The girl that waited on us was awesome and the donuts were just as amazing as Claire. I bought 3 Squealers for some of my guys at work, and they all raved about it! If you don't know what is Squealer is, it is a doughnut with bacon on it! What's even better is that they are open 24 hours at least til Labor Day. read more

My husband stopped by there last night. The cinnamon buns were great as well as the vanilla topped lunch sticks. They actually went in back and frosted 3 lunch sticks just for him. I just had to take a bite of my husbands raspberry filled donut with vanilla white frosting. It was extremely pleasing to take a bite out of that luscious donut. He went there at around 7:00 pm and there were people going in and out with many donuts, not just one. The cinnamon rolls (buns) were so fresh. I ate part of it and the next morning ate the other half. It was so fresh it was hard to believe it was already a day old. read more

Went into this business this afternoon with every intention of buying several doughnuts and also getting my wife a no bake cookie. First I wanted to correct an overcharge from several visits back. The last time I complained, the cashier told me that the employee that overcharged was new and didn't know better. Well that certainly fixes it. Here's my wallet, take out however much you need. The original transaction was for a long John -$1.39, and a no bake cookie -$.98. He charged us most of $4.00. When my wife went back in to ask him about it, he said that the no bake was $1.98. The first time I complained the cashier gave me a $.39 discount on my long John. Whoopie! Today the child behind the counter was even less helpful. She said that all of the baked goods in that display case were $1.98. I love chocolate chip cookies, but $1.98 for one? Ridiculous! I can buy a dozen no bake cookies for $3.99. Granted their cookie is probably a little better, and larger, but not enough so that it's worth two bucks. Very dissatisfied. An update. Greg, the owner, sent me a message through Yelp, sorry and all that, send me an email and I'll make it right for you. RIGHT! Been 3 days now. No response. A little disappointed as I have been to the one in Clare which is positively 5 STARS. Cream curdled in coffee and no one took the remaining culprit cream cups from fridge after I showed them. I should of known when only 3 date cookies on tray. Dough portion was hard and stale. In defense all my friends were happy with their choices and no complaints. They also had a couple of maple choices with two strips of bacon on top. I usually give stars freely, but not today. I will try again. read more

I don't get the hype. Service was great but the donuts were average at best. We got a wide variety and I tried a bite of most, so it wasn't just one donut that I didn't like. They didn't seem fresh due to our late morning visit, but freshness didn't really effect the taste. Most notably, the Boston cream donut was disappointing. I've had better at chains like Tim Hortons or Dunkin Donuts which is sad. The filling was nearly flavorless. The location is great. There is a lot of street parking nearby. They have a few tables for dine in guests. As I said, the service was great and quick, but was disappointed by the donuts. read more

A great branch from the original, Cops And Doughnuts has many tasty classic pastries and a few originals. Whether you like plain, cake doughnuts or bacon layered maple glaze, there's something for everyone. The doughnuts are tasty, and not too expensive. My biggest issue is the consistency of product and stock quantity. The most popular by far are the chocolate-dipped fried doughnuts (and best tasting) yet they are NEVER in stock. You have to be there first in the AM to get your share, and with the bakery no longer 24 hours a day, you get doughnuts made the evening before. All-in-all, not too bad of quality if you get there at the right times. read more

I'm just like cool, whatever...when they opened the people at we work brought in a few dozen donuts and we all tried Them. of course everyone loved them.but I did Too! They were excellent donuts...they were very flavorful and not greasy. I've had some great donuts in my life and these can stand proudly among the other winners. When we walked in we were greeted warmly and offered generous free samples of two different donuts. They were both delicious and I was hard pressed to choose which two to buy. If it wasn't so hot out, I would have left with a dozen! The prices are also very reasonable; my Peanut Butter & Jelly donut was $1.49 and Long John with custard filling for $1.19. An absolutely worthwhile bakery to visit, for sure! read more

I really excited to find out about this new location as I have wanted to try Cops and Doughnuts forever. It totally met my expectations. I had a maple bacon cinnamon roll. Not only was it huge, but it had just the right consistency of dough, maple flavor, bacon, and cinnamon to feel like some kind of french toast/bacon miracle.
