    Bayne's outside

We were looking for an orchard to get some apples and cider and ended up at Bayne's. What a wonderful place to go in the fall! We had lunch outside and purchased mums as well as some other items. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I decided to try the restaurant upon recommendation from friends. So glad we did! I had the Chicken Coconut Curry (CCC) soup and it was really good! All ingredients were fresh. Hubby had Clam Chowder, which he said was good, but he liked my CCC better. My Mediterranean wrap was fresh and tasty. He really enjoyed the beef brisket Sammy. So fresh!! The staff was WONDERFUL; attentive caring and friendly! Missing from so many customer service based businesses these days. They have a separate dinner menu (not photographed). We'll definitely go back and bring friends with us!

If it was possible- I would give this place 10 stars. Just.. the absolute best staff and vibes. Was it busy because we came peak fall season? Yes. Was it worth it? Ten fold. I originally discovered Baynes at Blake's cider days festival- and loved the ciders. After recommending this place to all my co workers for months, I finally made my way up here. I could kick myself for waiting so long. The baked goods? Amazing. From cookies, to donuts.. just amazing. My favorite part is this establishment sells and promotes Michigan products. So I was able to purchase my favorite products from northern and western Michigan. The food.. epic. Just- so good. The spirits? All Michigan craft spirits, beers and ciders. Highly suggest Baynes peach cider.. the best cider we had of the day! Special shoutout to Ava our server.. even though she was SO just.. she stayed sweet and wonderful. We will be back. Out of 96 Michigan based breweries/distilleries and cider establishments we've visited.. this is top 5. Can't say enough great things!

Going to baynes was a 10/10 experience. Their craft hard cider is amazing and store front was fun to walk through. They have a deck in the back with plenty of seating and shade plus a restaurant to go with it. I would recommend coming here if you're traveling through freeland.

I have not lived in Saginaw for 20 years so I had no idea that Bayne's had turned into the place shop, eat, drink on Midland Rd. I have been here 3x in 2 days and plan on returning again this week. Between the staff, quality of goods and pleasant shopping experience I felt compelled to spread the good word! Stop in and pick your parents up one of these (see pic) nostalgic high school sweatshirts, grab a hard cider and snack, you won't regret it.

This place was really cute. My sister and I went here for lunch and it was awesome - I was so happy I chose the white chicken chili! After I ate I already wanted more. The warm apple cider was also pretty good to eat while walking around and looking at everything in the store. My only complaint is the price for some things...who pays nearly four dollars for a slice of pie?

    The sliders looked mouth watering!

The flowers for the ceremony were beautiful, appropriately subtle, and each bouquet and boutonniere was thoughtfully arranged. My bouquet was absolutely everything I ever imagined in a bridal bouquet! Daisies and greens, with quiet touches of purple of blue, it was classically gorgeous. She encouraged me to think outside the box by suggesting I request a special table arrangement that my reception hall did not typically do - the head table was placed at the center of the room, loosely dividing the room in two, and was surrounded on each side by guests. This was such a cool idea on her part! The guests and wedding party were easily visible to one another and were able to mingle throughout the reception. It also made for flattering photos, as we weren't placed on a dais. Looking back on the big day, I believe that one suggestion of hers was a key component to the reception; one that made it unique, beautiful, and outrageously fun. As for the reception arrangements, they absolutely made our reception! They were easily my favorite part of the party! Toni created a topiary for the head table that was unlike any I have ever seen - it was probably 5 feet tall and it spilled down like a chandelier. Utilizing greens, whites, and woods, Toni went the extra mile in matching my color palate - she dangled delicate gold floss from the branches that floated gently in the breeze of passing guests. The arrangements at the guest tables and entrance tables were nothing short of grand. The flowers added so much to the atmosphere that I couldn't imagine the reception without them. And the best part of it all? Nothing they created was in any way a cliche or overdone. They completely understood my aesthetic (classic, with slight modern touches like succulents) and avoided everything I asked for (not a fan of roses, red or white) without a fight. If I learned anything during the planning of my wedding, it was the fact that most businesses try to convince the consumer to do things the easy way or the way they like to do things best. I struggled to have my wedding look and feel exactly the way it did, even when I didn't think I was asking for too much. That is, until I went to G.T. Homestead. The people there were as helpful as could be, and they even offered to coordinate with my reception hall, which saved me a lot of work! They supported me, my point of view, and did everything they could to make my wedding beautiful and memorable - and it was! If you're thinking about florists for your event, I highly suggest G.T. Homestead. They are wonderful people who do incredible work, and if I could rate them any higher for their contributions to my wedding, I would!

They run a clean, well-organized sale with fair prices and discount deeply on the second day. They have various mailing lists to advertise their sales so that their regular customers know and come to buy. as a seller--I was surprised to find that Treasures on Townsend didn't treat me like a customer. Although I hired the firm, paid the firm, and provided the stuff to sell, I felt that the firm really considered their mailing list people and the bank trustee to be their real customers, not me. (After all, that is their return business. I only have so many family members who can die and provide goods for sale.) They set up the estate sale, did a good job advertising the sale, set the prices and sold. Their work made it easy for me. But my heart is troubled that they didn't fully understand the value of some of the pieces and sold them too cheaply. I got very little communication from them, and some resistance to my trying to explain significant pieces--until she got questions about them from potential buyers and realized my info was helpful. Your choices are limited in Midland, and as a seller, you're stuck--you need help to clear things out, and need an independent person to set a price not clouded-by-emotion. Treasures on Townsend did an ok job overall. But just realize that even though you pay the firm, you're not really the customer--then you'll be less disappointed in the experience. This

Cute little boutique featuring rustic/farmhouse/shabby chic home decor…read more I stopped in last week and thought the name of the store looked familiar to me. It was and for good reason- it's the sister store of a home decor shop in Tawas City that I remember shopping last summer. That store was super cute and kinda eclectic and so was this one. The store just opened in April and is very much like the shop up north. They mirror each other pretty well, from layout and service to selection and price point. Customer service was nice and attentive and the stock was ample, showcasing plenty of "farmhouse chic" type of decor- candles, vases, furniture, clocks, artwork, signage, etc, much of it in a rustic, upcycled motif. The prices are kinda on the high end for even simple items, but the furniture was pretty reasonably priced. Some of the pieces are pretty garden variety and nothing that unique or that you can't get at Target for much less, but other items (larger pieces) are rather interesting and worth a real look. Overall, a nice store with great service and a mid-range price point for the most part.

There is no way I'll be spending my earned loyalty cash with them. I was calm and nice and he tried to twist everything i said. I ended up crying because he was so horrible to me. Said I was name calling because I said a price was ridiculous. He very much gives off every sign of being a manipulative abuser. The way she acted shows me that he must not allow her to make any decisions or have any opinion or say anything for that matter. I went through years of abuse and he threw every red flag! I pray for her and hope he isn't way worse behind closed doors, but I bet he is! I have spent this year fighting cancer and I dont have a ton of money to spend so I have been going to thrift shops to try and get some nicer items for less money. I made a very larger purchase, over $400, trying to get Christmas gifts for my children and family members. There were a couple of items that my kids have shown me they wanted to get for others and I did not look at the prices BECAUSE the other items I had been looking at where prices okay. Items were higher than most stores but not crazy. We had seen a few high priced items but they were things that MADE sense to be a high price, like vintage items that were REAL. When the total came up, I just assumed I had gotten more items then I thought, that happens when thrifting. Turns out these people just throw whatever price they want and throw a few insane ones in there hoping someone like me will come along and be too distracted to noticed. When I got home, I found that two items where prices insanely high, like way out of line high. One was a USED pair of shoes, NORMAL chuck Taylor's. ALL of the other shoes I got where less than $10 so I had assumed they were in the same price range. They are worn and have sunbleached on them! But I was grabbing them because I thought they would be a good gift. Turns out this shop thinks they are worth $65! The guy said there is no way the other shoes are that cheap, I said let's go look at them. The first pair I grabbed was $25 but it was on the other side of the rack from where I had been shoping so I walked to the other side where I had been yesterday and pick up a pair I had tired on. It is $10. I bought a pair for $7, another pair for $10, a pair of heels for $10 and a BRAND NEW paid that I knew I was paying $60 because I had to ask when I couldn't find the price. But they are a special shoe for diabtics, which i am, so i went ahead anf got them for myself. When I tried to show him that, he claims I looked at 7 pairs of shoes before I found a cheap pair, which isn't true at all. I picked up 2 pairs, the first that was $25 and the second that was $10. He wouldn't walk over and look at the shoes, just said I was wrong.... (abuser). Then there is a motorcycle novelty knife that my son picked out for my husband. ALL of the other Harley items I grabbed were under $20, so again I missed the tag.... of $75. This knife is not worth anything like that. Online there is someone who hasn't even been able to sell it for $15. The lady tried to say that they confirm pricing with at least 5 online posting before they price an item, and I asked her to please show me what she found online because right now you can by the shoes brand new for $40-60 and the knife for $15 on ebay. This was before he stopped allowing her to talk. The man wouldn't allow her to do anything because he knew i would be right and he would be wrong which he CLEARLY can't handle. She was just starting at him and i begged her to please look at me. When she did and I tried to talk to her, he threw a huge fit and told her to look at him. Then started accusing me of saying something to her, I didnt. All I was asking was for them to make them a reasonable price! I wasnt even trying to return them. Hell I would have taken it as credit and shopped more but now I will never come here and I hope you will spend your money somewhere else as well. When I said I would write a review to make sure people know how I was treated, The owner told me that if I try to post a negative review, he will reply "nicely" and that everyone is going to agree with him and say i should have looked at the price tags. No matter what, charging that much over the cost of new/used is insane.
