Recently they revamp the place and converted to a buffet style restaurant. It's fairly new so they didn't have all the labels for the food choices and kept running out of snow crab. We went on a Sunday it was $39.99 pp. Wasn't worth the price. However, it's generating lots of foot traffic. So be humble as they figure out the kinks. One recommendation is to have bowls instead of just plates to create a boil experience. Limited staff but they are good at making you feel welcome and provide good service.

The seafood at Happy Crab was "ok", but definitely not close to the best crab boil I've had. Everything was edible and decent, just nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. The atmosphere was fine as well, nothing special but not uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the worst part of the experience was right when I walked in. I was informed that there's a 20% service charge for dining in, plus an additional 3% fee for paying with a card, which felt excessive. The waitress herself was very nice and did a good job, so no complaints there. Still, paying almost $200 for a "decent" crab boil after all the extra charges is hard to justify, especially for most folks in the economy that we're now surviving in. If the food were outstanding, it might feel different but as it stands, the value just isn't there for me. I'll give Happy Crab 3 Stars

This was such a nice surprise. We were around and looking for something to try. We got stocked because train stopped so we had to go all the way so we could cross. We made it at the end :) Easy to park as yhe have their own lot. Pretty big space. I don't know if it was early but it was just a couple of tables. Staff was helpful and friendly. They took our order and came back fast. It liked that they add more flavour and spices to the combo than in other places in Seattle. It was a nice difference. Their clam chowder was pretty good too. I wouldn't have guess this would be such a nice visit. I will definitely try them again :) little ones liked their lobsters dolls at the entrance.

No wait when I visited. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They have robot waiters which is wild to me. The food is REALLY delicious. I enjoyed my meal and will visit again if I am ever in the area!

    Paid too much!

Very disappointed in the quality of the seafood at the Auburn, WA location. The seafood was not cooked with any seasonings at all, everything appears to have been boiled in plain water eariler , then left out to get cold! I've had more flavorful hospital meals! There were plenty of seasoned butters to dip with, but with the seafood was not seasoned! The side dish's were lukewarm (no steaming trays) at best and looked like they were left out from lunch time! No fresh food was replaced during my entire 90 minutes I was there from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. I didn't feel like the $88.00 I payed for two was worth the value. I would not waste my time eating there again. Update after the owners response 2 hours later: I did see the other side with the prepared food that looked like it was out since lunch time and it was not fresh or hot! I will not return, you didn't offer a discount or anything to make up for the poor quality. I don't accept the excuse of blaming the new cook for your issues. Isn't there a process in place by management for the employees to follow...business 101. You throw your employees under the bus, instead of taking ownership of the issues.

This is the second time we've been here, the first was during their soft opening so we gave them a pass. However, they've been open for a number of months and quite frankly it simply is not worth the money. We were seated immediately and brought waters. The gentleman came back to get our drink order and then asked if we were ready to order. We were not so he left and literally never came back. Finally one of the other servers came and asked if everything was ok and she took our order. We ordered one of the combos which came with shrimp, a piece of lobster, snow crab, sausage, very overdone corn on the cob and a couple of potatoes. The sauce was supposed to be garlic butter, didn't taste like that. In the middle of the seafood was a huge piece of what they said was house made noodle. Which would have been find but it was this enormous piece that needed to be cut in order to eat it and the only eating utensil was a plastic fork. When you pay that much you should get real silver ware. We also ordered a sweet and sour cucumber salad which was good and asked for a side of garlic bread which was soggy in the middle and didn't taste much like garlic. They do give you bibs, which I advise you to use, and a towel to wipe the grease at the end. However, the food just wasn't all that great and we figure two times was all we were going to give them.

I am so glad this restaurant has opened!!! We now have a place to get crawfish in Auburn!! Ok, with that being said, everything was just ok. The service was quick and efficient with their hand held ordering device and a little robot that follows the servers around delivering food and drinks. Restaurant was very clean. Food was reasonably priced. They charge for an extra side of sauce ($12 for an 8oz container). The timeliness of our food coming out to our table was horrendously long. We ordered 2 fry baskets (chicken tender and chicken nuggets) and 1lb of crawfish. It took over 45 minutes. At least everything came out hot. We might consider coming back just for convenience.

I came to lunch at Happy Crab yesterday. This location was where the legendary Sun Break Cafe was. It was about $22.00 for lunch. The first thing I was told when I walked in was there no seafood on lunch buffet. I felt like turning around and leaving but I stayed. The lunch buffet was pretty average if not below. There are certainly other Asian Buffets around that are better. I was given a list of 4 or 5 things on the dinner buffet - snow crab crayfish. The price for dinner on somedays was more than double what lunch was. There isn't enough there to get me back. I wish them luck.

Came here for dinner with some friends. Clean place with friendly staff. I ordered Cajun Fries and a pound of green mussels in the House Sauce - Mala at extra hot spice level, and added the Fresh Hand-Pulled Noodles. Their Cajun Fries tasted just like the frozen bag of curly fries you get at the grocery store. Didn't have any cajun flavor. I would have liked it if it was hot, if not, at least warm. Our food all came at different times. Some food came out hot, some warm, and some neither. My mussels in the House Sauce was decent, but it wasn't spicy for being extra hot. And I liked the hand-pulled noodles in it. I felt like they did give a good amount of potatoes and sausages, if you like those little sides.

Their snow crab in their medium spicy sauce was super flavor and great value at $19. Add the sausage noodles and they complimented great. Not many people inside. Remodeled and clean but could definitely benefit from some good word of mouth.

Feeling Right with scallops added, but they forgot my potatoes and corn.

Finally checked out West Hill Deli! Absolutely loved their food and ambiance…read more For food, we got the adobo pork belly (comes with macaroni salad, rice, and vegetables on the side) and the pandan fried chicken (comes with rice and veggies on the side). Pandan was super crispy and rice was soft, not mushy. Adobo was rich in garlic and in smoky and sweet flavor. Love they kept the fat on some adobo pieces. Each dish was just enough for us to finish for breakfast. For drinks, we ordered the calamansi juice and calamansi iced tea. Both taste great. Side notes: You order up front, bring your table number, and sit wherever you like. They will bring you your food. Once youre done, please put your food away in the back, which is located on the left hand side of the deli if youre facing the deli at the entryway. It was busy on a Sunday around noon. A few were available but was filled quickly after about half an hour of us arriving. People tend to spend time here. About an hour if youre just there to have a quick meal, but families were gathering and spending time with no rush which i loved. No waitress or waiter to check on you, just only to bring you your food which took a reasonable 2 minutes for drinks and about 10 - 15 for food. Overall, we definitely recommend!

I also tried the garlic fried rice with longanisa and eggs, which was really good too. The longanisa had that nice sweet-savory balance, and the garlic rice was fragrant and comforting, though I'd still pick the sisig if I had to choose between the two. The ube pancakes were delicious soft, slightly sweet, and definitely a fun treat. Fair warning though, they will leave your teeth a little purple for a bit but honestly worth it. I also got the ube coffee and... YUM. Such a good combo with the pancakes. Overall, everything was solid and full of flavor. I'd definitely come back, especially for that pork sisig. Tita is definitely cooking in the back you can taste it.

The mango is sweet, ripe, and fresh, not frozen, and the flavor is even throughout the whole dessert. Some shave ice or bingsu places get bland as you go down and it starts tasting like plain ice, but Snowy Village does a great job keeping the sweetness consistent. It was very busy after the dinner rush, and seating was limited. People were waiting for tables, and there were only two staff members working, so they were rushing around a lot. This was my first time at this location of Snowy Village, and it's been years since I've visited any of the others because IMO the quality has dropped off since the U District days. 1) We walked in and the smell was rancid. Smelled like bad milk, bad/sharp cheese, mixed with hot dairy and chemical cleaning products. So unpleasant we had to cover our noses with our shirts the entire time, and my sister even had to step outside to breathe. 2) There was only one employee working and drowning in orders when we came in at 9pm. Understandably close to closing time. Self-ordering kiosk was doing half the work. The employee didn't greet anyone walking in and only spoke to call out the names of the orders. 3) We finally got our order. Strawberry and Taro bingsoos with extra condensed milk, and a taiyaki trio. The taiyaki dough had unfortunately gone bad. We all tasted small pieces because we couldn't believe it, and it was true. It smelled okay, but the aftertaste was strongly bitter/sour and chemically. 4) I flagged down the employee to let them know that the dough had gone bad. He just said "ok do you want a refund?" I kindly said that would be appreciated, and he said "ok" grabbed the box, and went back to work. I was confused and had no idea if I was supposed to do anything next. Im used to refunds being processed on the spot and having to sometimes provide my card again. I waited a few minutes and flagged him down again to ask him if I needed to do anything, and without moving from the kitchen, he said no he'll find my order and I'll get the refund. 5) We poured the extra condensed milk all over our bingsoo, but then realized that there was hardened condensed milk at the bottom of the little cup that it came in. This only happens when the condensed milk is left out. When tasting it by itself, we realized the condensed milk was spoiled too :( I know working in understaffed environments is hard. Most likely, he was leaving things out because orders were back to back and he didn't have time. So I leave this review in hopes that management schedules more people, and improves their processes for food handling safety. Also, I'm disappointed to see so many business taking the humanity out of customer service. Self serve kiosks are replacing workers who can answer questions, provide recommendations, and represent the company in a warm way. Companies should invest in humanity again. As of now I don't see any refund for the taiyaki. I am hoping the whole order is refunded due to the condensed milk too. Order #24 on Wednesday 5/20 approximately 9PM.
