Both visits, I dropped by after work. The mall has a parking lot. It does get a bit busy at night. I backed into a spot and took the entrance on the left to head inside. There was a huge banner that led me to this food stall. You can't miss it. This place goes get busy at dinnertime. Both times, staff were pleasant and nice. York University students and non-students alike drop by for some good, cheap eats in this mall, so it makes sense why this place is so popular. There is a special for students. Between 11 am and 1 pm, they can get the son's size lasagna for $5. It's such a steal that I almost want to be a student again for this deal only... haha! You can choose between beef or vegetable lasagna. I have now had both. It takes approximately six minutes to heat up a small (son's) size of lasagna. The medium size is the dad. You can get a double of each size, depending on your hunger pangs. I don't mind waiting for yumminess. Staff were cool to come around the counter both times to hand me my food. It was such a nice touch. During my first experience, I had ordered a caesar salad. I noticed while heading to my car that I didn't have it, so I walked back. The male staffer immediately knew and was extremely apologetic. Craziness does that to all of us. I paid with a credit card both times. It allows tapping. Paying with mine was smooth. The son's size of lasagna is generous for one person to devour. I brought my lasagna home both times. It was still warm in my insulated bag. This place does four-layer lasagna. There are so many unique and interesting flavours to choose from, it's cool to see everything they offer. And I love that they allow 3 samples per person which totally adds to the experience... I was super impressed with how accurate and pronounced the flavour execution was. The matcha was very rich, and the Dubai chocolate had a good ratio of kunafa pieces in it. I ended up getting the jasmine milk tea and lychee Osmanthus which was a game time decision. The jasmine milk tea was done so well, and the lychee was more of a sorbet to me (still good though!) My bf got the Dubai chocolate and New York cheesecake. The prices are pretty reasonable for the portion. $6 for a single scoop and 50 cents more to split into 2 flavours. I loved the mini soft cake with pork floss that I returned for another one. I find the cake box's container lid to be extremely tight. My prying the lid open messed up two of my gel strips on my nails. Ugh! The blueberry and yogurt cake box was yummy. I liked the fresh blueberries. The cake was flavourful. It was as if there were popping boba in one of the layers. It had the perfect sweetness. The jelly on top was a nice touch. I had some before I had the cake. It tasted like grape. It was subtle in taste and sweetness, which was lovely. The Ovaltine cake box was excellent. It also wasn't sweet, but tasted just like the drink, but in cake form. I had their strawberry cream dessert, which was light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The crunchy almond-topped treat was delicious, and the choux pastries were baked to perfection, crispy on the outside and filled with a creamy, flavorful filling inside. Not only was the quality excellent, but the packaging was also neat, and they even included utensils for convenience. It's clear that a lot of care goes into their desserts. Highly recommend So Sweet for anyone looking for delicious and aesthetically pleasing desserts. Can't wait to try more from them!
