Saw a post about Han's Bakery from a Facebook friend and it was featured in the Only In Your State article. So we made the trek to Anoka for a Sunday drive to check out the bakery. We came around 1pm and most of everything was gone. There was one famous beehive donut left so of course we had to get it. We also picked out two frosted sprinkled donuts, a chocolate old fashioned and a cherry cream cheese danish roll plus a sliced of the Princess Torte. I wanted to see how it compares with Wuollet's princess torte. We couldn't wait to try out the donuts and so we parked at a nearby park ave devoured our treats! The donuts were soft and moist with no fried grease oil smell or after taste! It was delicious. Since we ate all the single treats, we didn't have room for the beehive and so it went in the fridge for the next day. Tried the beehive the next day and the dough was hard and crispy. Not soft. I wish I had opened it on the day of to try it fresh. The almond toppings were tasty. The bavarian cream was a little too much and too sweet for me. I think the next time, we will have to go super early to try the Texas donut and other variations of the smaller beehive. It's worth the experience. A little pricey.

Had a great donut and coffee this morning. Thanks for the good service !

Very un-organized. Everybody is scatter brained and it takes a long time to get taken care of. Outstanding doughnuts, Service not quite

We had the whole space to ourselves, as the café was empty. Everyone was taking their orders to go. It's the best old-fashioned doughnut I've ever had, and my mother-in-law said her apple fritter was delicious. Both of my kids chose the Oreo specialty donuts, and neither of them could finish because they were on the very sweet side. But they had leftovers for after school! I'll be stopping in soon to pick up a dozen to bring to work with me. So glad they are in the neighborhood!

Despite the demand and weekend rush for these donuts, there are always plenty of options for everyone, whether you're a fan of classic, no-frills options or dessert-style, specialty creations. I love that they offer appetizing vegan and gluten-free options! My kids were absolutely over the moon for these treats, and even I--someone who doesn't usually go wild for donuts--couldn't help but appreciate the freshness of the dough and the perfect glaze on the jelly-filled varieties I tried. The jelly hit the sweet-and-tart balance just right, making each bite delightfully satisfying. The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your donuts on-site. It's the kind of place where you can linger, sip your coffee, and savor each bite without feeling rushed. Uffda Donuts makes it easy to see why they've got a loyal following: quality, care, and a little bit of magic in every donut. Go early, go hungry, and prepare to leave with a smile (and maybe a sugar rush).

I said, oh no, I drove all the way here for them, I ain't leavin, I'll wait. She hollered back to the cooks and asked how long on the donut holes and they said it would be about 10 to 15 minutes. I said I was fine with waiting and I picked out some donuts from the case. Listen. I get it. You want fresh donuts for everyone. You don't want customers waiting even though you have designated dine-in seating that I have seen made use of on a Sunday morning by the 60+ sect with copies of the day's newspaper available to them for reading. But I was nothing if not fully and totally amenable to the prospect of waiting. I drove out here, I used the gas, and frankly, it was all I wanted for my order. I came specifically for the donut holes and the extra donuts were for my bf. It's not to say he doesn't like them, he very much does but he can't get his mitts in fast enough to get them before I gobble them all down like some sort of baked goods hobbit goblin. My Precious(es). I like that the sugar glaze makes them crunch and you can taste the butter. They're light and airy and they make me happy. Anyways. I would like to note that the last time I put an order in ahead of time, it got lost in the shuffle and when I came to pick it up, it wasn't ready and instead of taking the risk and missing out, I just went to the shop and ordered them right there and I figured by doing so close enough to open, they'd have donut holes available. I didn't know they were essentially made to order but I presume since I arrived a half hour after they opened, they surely must have simply run out. To that end, I don't see how it would really matter all that much who buys them and how much of them are bought considering you're still getting paid, whether it's my money or Burt's, our cash is still the same shade of green and still fits the same way in your register. So time ticks on, I'm waiting, another lady purposefully walks in and walks around the counter with all the authority and lateness I would expect from a managerial type. I couldn't make out all of what was said but I did hear, ".....No. She's waiting on a dozen donut holes..." So then I got concerned bc I thought they were gonna cheap me out and only give me a dozen when I paid for 2 so when I got my donut holes I asked for another dozen. The manager possibly owner type takes my box and puts another dozen in. I ask if that makes 3 dozen and she said, "I actually put more than that in there." All of what I'm recounting to you should ultimately be what one might consider a 5 star review but I can't bring myself to do it. I don't know what is going on with customer service in general but I blame the cost of living crisis. It's pushed a bunch of ppl who have no business interacting with customers into jobs where they have to interact with customers and they are doing a horrible job if it. It's not rocket science. Customer service has the easiest formula on earth: 10 foot rule; you see a customer w/in 10ft of you, you say hello and ask them if you can help them with anything. They give you their order You say: Great choice, but it's gonna be about 10 to 15 minutes, are you okay with waiting for the best donuts in the twin cities? Customer says yes. You: Sounds good. Here's a newspaper if you want something to read. End of interaction until you hand me my order. Very simple. What you don't do is try and talk me out of giving you my money. And when I try to give you MORE of my money, you don't respond like I just told you your cat has cancer. You just give me my f*cking donuts and you smile and we f*ck off until I see you again when I want a lard and carbo bomb in 7 months man. Why is this such a difficult concept? I'm not even asking you to be fake nice to be but don't try and weird me out of buying your sh*t. What's the point then? Alternately, when the elderly ladies are working, placing an order has them diving for donuts like they're dodging a Blitzkrieg. It's very unnecessarily chaotic. I would be okay with changing my review if they maybe take it down a notch but I doubt they will.
