Plain Glazed and Chocolate Glazed Dozen Donuts

Absolutely love the donuts here! These days there are so many options for donuts. Most have some sort of special flair, but I still love a bakery style yeast donut. Old Fashioned Donut Shop does an amazing job delivering these. Flaky, soft, semi-sweet plain glazed donuts done right! The lady at the front is so nice and friendly. Highly recommend for a classic donut experience!

I decided to get some donuts from a local donut shop. First, I was only going to order three or four donuts but I decide to get a 12 pack. They all looked pretty tasty. Long John custard filled: i'm a sucker for custard filled donuts and this one did not disappoint. The custard wasn't too sweet and It had a mellow taste. The donut had a nice little fresh doughy bite that left me craving another.

I got donuts this morning for the office! Everyone loved them! Someone said it was the best donut they've ever had. They are so fresh and delicious! The woman that helped me was very friendly and so was the man there! I will definitely be back!

I stopped here on the way to somewhere else. I was impressed by the large number of people stopping in... lots of parents with a child. It's a low-key, no-frills, old fashioned donut shop. You're not going to find fancy, cookie topped, coffee-flavored donuts here. What you will find are fresh, soft donuts like you remember - sugar coated raised, raspberry or custard filled bismarks, maple frosted fried cinnamon - the basics. The donuts were good and would be crowd pleasers if you brought them to work for the staff.

The Old Fashioned Donut Shoppe is in a nondescript strip mall in Crystal. Great service, though!

I had exactly one half of a donut here but I am giving this little shop five stars based on our experience there. After breakfast at the neighboring Crystal Cafe we got in the car and saw in front of us red lettering that just said Donuts. We have a hard time resisting sugar so decided to take a look. This shop is tiny. Just a couple of tables, one was occupied. We walked in and a voice called from the back, letting us know he'd be right with us. The man working there greeted us and we chose one donut, surely not an exciting order. He bagged our sugar-dusted donut with a smile and then my boyfriend and I both realized neither of us had any cash. We said we were sorry and planned to leave donut-less, but the man said, "It's ok." At first I thought he meant it was ok we'd ordered and then had to give up our dessert, but he meant he was giving us the donut for free. We declined but he insisted, so we took our donut with us and shared it about ten minutes later while waiting for a ridiculously long train (seriously, it was a good thing we had that donut so we didn't starve to death). The donut: good. The gesture: awesome. We are planning to return next weekend to buy at least a dozen donuts as thanks. You should go buy a couple dozen, too. And bring cash!

    So many sprinkles.

Donuts are very average, but the people behind the counter are ALWAYS crabby. Ruins the experience.

I first discovered…read morethis bakery when I moved into the surrounding neighborhood, and have since visited more times than I can count. All of the donuts here are wonderful - there is a large selection of cake and raised donuts, with different flavors rotating throughout the year. I have ordered 2-3 dozen to bring into work multiple times, and each time I get questions and remarks on how fresh and delicious they are. If I am in the mood for savory, a personal favorite of mine is the breakfast croissants: warm and oozing with cheese, ham, or spinach! Although my go-to is the chocolate croissant; I eat it almost weekly! The bakery also makes and decorates special occasion cakes. I recently ordered a Princess Torte for a friend's birthday, and it was a hit! I always feel welcomed at this bakery, no matter how busy or quiet a day it is. You can truly feel the love and warmth (and smell the deliciousness!) of the staff and community that frequently return as regulars. The prices are some of the best around, too!

Great with coffee, great to walk in and get a couple dozen for a work event or gathering! The space is small and gives a very homey vibe but I believe they were bought out by Woullet recently. I popped in this morning to get 2 1/2 dozen cake donuts for a work event and had lovely and quick service. Donuts here are still super cheap which is amazing! There are lots of other baked goods to try here but I am so loyal to the cake donuts that I rarely want to venture out of my comfort zone. Many items in the display case look pretty delicious too though! Maybe one day I will branch out. Also conveniently close to Northern Coffeeworks for a proper latte :)

Despite the demand and weekend rush for these donuts, there are always plenty of options for everyone, whether you're a fan of classic, no-frills options or dessert-style, specialty creations. I love that they offer appetizing vegan and gluten-free options! My kids were absolutely over the moon for these treats, and even I--someone who doesn't usually go wild for donuts--couldn't help but appreciate the freshness of the dough and the perfect glaze on the jelly-filled varieties I tried. The jelly hit the sweet-and-tart balance just right, making each bite delightfully satisfying. The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your donuts on-site. It's the kind of place where you can linger, sip your coffee, and savor each bite without feeling rushed. Uffda Donuts makes it easy to see why they've got a loyal following: quality, care, and a little bit of magic in every donut. Go early, go hungry, and prepare to leave with a smile (and maybe a sugar rush).
