Stopped by YoYo Donut to try something new! I ordered six donuts, which came to about $15, a little on the spendy side, but my sons and I wanted to try a new donut place. I tried the maple and the twist, and both were fresh and pretty good, not amazing. The shop itself is super cute, with lots of fun photo ops and a cheerful vibe. Delicious donuts, service is polite and friendly. I will be open in saying I often try new spots via Too Good to Go. This donut shop was actually my first order ever. Those donuts were amazing. This is my second time here. Like the value on these donuts is unbelievable for the price. I took a picture of my box of donuts they provided. It was 5 dollars for several specialty donuts! It's always random but I'm always happy with what I get. The gummy worm Oreo donut was amazing! My cat who loves sugar also cosigns the quality of their donuts lol. I wanted to like this place especially after seeing all the great reviews. Parking was pretty easy as I went mid morning on a Friday. When I walked in there was a cute chair photo op with flowers. The rest of the place was also really cute. Looks like they also serve ice cream as well (not sure if it's all year around or seasonally - but it's separated from the coffee & donuts counter). I seen somewhere - maybe it was other reviews that they had fun seasonal or monthly drinks but when I got there it was pretty basic and the staff person helping me was not the friendliest. I ended up going for classic glazed twist donut and matcha latte. The matcha was fine just basic matcha, probably wouldn't go out the way for it. The donut I expected to be a bit better as well. Not sure it just wasn't fresh but I do like when the donuts are lighter and airy and this one was bit tougher, it wasn't bad but just not as good as I expected. For national donut day they only offered pre-made donut boxes with a very strange assortment so that was super disappointing. You know the variety was not good when kids won't even eat them... One of my very favorite donut shops in all the TC area and I'm a donut obsessed girl. Every time I'm in town to visit (I work for a company by there and used to live near there) I am compelled to come get donuts. I don't even like maple donuts and yet theirs are amazing with bacon. This place seems super trendy and popular, meaning it has been busy every time I've stopped. Its very eclectic in decor. I haven't tried any of their coffees but have gotten samplers of the donuts a few times now. They're good and fresh, I'm not sure I would say they have anything unique to them, though. The donuts are a bit more dense than I prefer. Frosting tends to be thicker which I personally like on a donut. Staff is efficient which is appreciated in a tiny, busy location. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to learn that their facilities are 100% safe for nut allergies. The donuts themselves are out of this world! There are so many incredible and unique flavors to choose from. A few of our favorites include the blueberry old fashion, the fruity pebbles cake donut, the cookies and cream, the red velvet, and the maple bacon long john. Because we love YoYo so much, we had them do a donut wall for our wedding. It was a HUGE hit and people are still talking about it to this day, nearly a year later. Easily one of the best and easiest decisions we made that day. They also newly renovated their dine-in space and it is SO cute! There are pink flowers and greenery everywhere, in addition to cute Instagram backdrops! Pro tip: get there early! I ended up at YoYo by chance on a Saturday afternoon after driving halfway across the cities to pick something up. I randomly searched for a donut shop and off I was to Yoyo despite not knowing anything about it. When I arrived a found an insanely packed parking lot (shared by surrounding shops) and a line out the door. I honestly questioned if I should stay in line or just stop at Starbucks. I'm glad I stayed in line and others around me informed me that a line is normal for Saturday mornings but the donuts were worth it. Someone in line compared these to GlamDoll in Minneapolis but I don't know if I would fully agree with that comparison. I ordered a dozen donuts and I was not prepared for the price: $38. My card but be linked to my husbands but he got an email receipt and questioned my sanity before I drove away. Here's the ones I would recommend: Red velvet, apple fritter, raspberry, and probably the cream brulee. Here are the ones that I would pass on despite being super excited about: lemon (it was giving cleaner vibes.) Blueberry (thing was SOOO hard and dry). Chocolate chocolate (pretty plain and also dry). We ordered a couple of other options that I didn't try, but that's okay because everything was super sweet and I don't know if I could've gone for more. We shared with about 5 people and the feeling was the same- super sweet. Don't get me wrong, donuts are sweet and that's what I love about them, but you probably only need one- maybe two lol. Would I come back? If I was in the area, but I don't know if I would drive 25 minutes again for just the donuts. However; I would drive 25 minutes for the apple fritters without question. We have a cousin with a nut allergy, and also for some reason people think these donuts are just great and I've decided it's the location. The bad sarcastic attitude definitely doesn't match the tasty donuts! We walked in around 1145am to see a sign saying sold out. But close at 2. I jokingly asked what happened knowing it wasn't an early morning pickings for donuts, and was answered rudely. The young woman with tats and facial piercings has a bad representation of sarcasm. Yum. Took my 5 year old on a breakfast date here and I will say the donuts - so so delicious! The space is cute and has a lot of indoor seating. They also offered a full array of espresso drinks and drip coffee and ice cream (which we didn't try this visit). We tried the glazed old fashioned, the chocolate sprinkle king John, raspberry glazed and the crème brûlée and they were all wonderful. The perfect texture of not too dry and the right ratio of frosting to bread. I also had a black coffee and I was surprisingly pleased. Most places don't do light roasts well and this was really nice, not bitter and not crazy strong which is how a light roast should taste. Giving 4 stars for the visit experience itself. The line was quite long which is fine and expected on a Saturday, but when we got to the front, it was apparent the line was caused by a bit of disorganization with how their setup is arranged. If there were a way earlier to show, even in a video screen or rearrange the line so options are visible before the moment you order, it would significantly speed up the process. The dining room was also quite dirty with not a table that had been wiped down and again, I know it's busy but there were plenty of folks standing around waiting for the people in like to decide that it would be well worth the few minutes it would take to wipe down the tables. These two things certainly didn't deter us from planning to head back for future visits but did steer us towards ordering ahead which appeared to be an option and taking them to go to eat in a cleaner environment! read more
