The donuts were good, but not my favorite and nothing I could not have not gotten elsewhere. I love apple fritters and while these were good, they were very greasy. I almost felt like the grease running down my throat. Was busy for a Satuday which was to be expected, but didn't have to wait too long. Cute little place, but not sure I would make an extra special trip just for donuts I can get closer.

    Dozen assorted donuts.

We arrived at 8:40 AM on a Saturday morning and waited for about 20 minutes in line. There were plenty of donut options, but I would expect a line on a weekend morning if that's the time you choose to go. Food: 4.5/5. All of the donuts we had were fresh and overall very light dough compared to other comparable donuts that can be oil saturated (these were not oil saturated at all). Service: 4/5. There were only 2 people working the donut line and checkout. Having even one extra person I think could have made things go much quicker. They prefer cash and charge extra for card usage, so don't be surprised by this for a local small shop. Ambiance: 3/5. This is a very small mom and pop type local donut shop. There were tables and chairs to sit in, but not much room overall for the amount of people that were waiting to get donuts.

These baked items are delish!! I got two cinnamon rolls and only ate one with the maple on it. I honestly enjoyed it a lot. Nice texture, soft and not overly sweet. I'm just not a huge sweet eater but I do get a little sweet tooth every now and then. Service is well...service, nothing too friendly or extravagant but it was a one time treat for me so I'm not too concerned with that. I won't be returning because I don't live here. The place could use a good cleaning and dusting but aside that, it was pretty good.

I love coming to Donut Hut! I've been come to Donut Hut since I was a kid. My favorite kind of donut is the chocolate and vanilla donut. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

I don't know what it is about their dough here but it's so good! Anything cinnamon or glazed is delicious. They have some huge cinnamon rolls as well as braided long doughnuts and some in form of a flower that are just so good. You definitely do need to arrive super early early in the morning to be able to see the complete selection. They go by fast and aren't open for that long depending on the day. Service is fast and efficient and they do their best to put out doughnuts as they come out. It's in an easy location to park as well which is super convenient.

YUM! Must visit. Stopped in this morning around 7:20am. Lots of donuts available to pick from and hard to just pick a few. It smelt amazing in there. Donuts were coming out fresh frequently during the short visit. My suggestion, do not skip this donut shop. Donuts were fresh, fluffy, crispy on the bottom, and just simply delicious. Ladies behind the counter were nice. They were getting a little busy during our visit. A bit of a line was starting to form as we were leaving, but staff handled it well. It's a cute little Ma and Pop donut shop. Lots of donut boxes. The display case was lit up well. I'll definitely be back for these melt in your mouth donuts. I live about 15/20 minutes from here and the drive is worth it.

My Apple fritter was light on the apple and heavy on the oil. Disappointing. I wanted to like it.

The treats: The apple fritter was so good! And the almond croissant, light and flaky and full of almond flavor. We also had a raspberry filled donut, which reminded me so strongly of childhood and kid birthday parties - such a lovely fun nostalgic treat! The cronut, upon first bite, was one of the most delicious sweet snacks I've had in a long time - ours was underbaked with raw dough in the center, which was a bit of a bummer, but the parts that were cooked were phenomenal, and I can totally see the hype. The eclair - this I would definitely pass on. Maybe not a popular item? It tasted pretty stale, with weirdly bitter icing and stale dough. But everything else was so good, we didn't mind a few misses. Lots of families bringing kids and toddlers for sweet treats in the morning, and we'll definitely be back to try more sweet treats and probably some breads as well! Lovely bakery.

It seems that they are rightly known for their sweet baked goods, hence the name, but they have some savory offerings as well. I had heard good things about their congee so I made a point to try that. It was good! Filling, plenty of meat. I also have had a unique, savory roll that was buttery and great, I forgot what it's called but it's good. And I had a Lychee Rose brioche donut. Decadent! Delicious. Loved it. I got a Vietnamese coffee one time that was great, and a matcha milk with ube foam that was also great. So, yeah, really everything I've had has been great! The opening hours are painfully limited. They are only open from 9am to 1pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And both times I came it was close to noon and they were sold out of LOTS of things. I'm convinced that if you go there because you want something specific, you simply can't trust them to have it available. Instead of planning a specific visit, the wiser approach would be to give them a look if you're in the area during one of the 12 hours they are open in a given week, and see if you're interested in what they aren't sold out of. They have an indoor counter which you get to via the main entrance on 4th street, and guessing your way through the halls until you find them past that gallery. There is also a seating section which has the ambience of a break room at a DMV. But there is also an outdoor window on Saturday & Sunday, with some seats set up in the alley; that description sounds dicey but it's perfectly fine. My hope is that they improve on some of this to make for a more predictably positive experience!
