I have been here a few times now and every time the donuts are amazing! Maple bacon donut is my personal favorite. Their custard donut is great too as I do not believe it is overly sweet. The store is very compact so if you come at a busy time in the morning or on the weekend be prepared to line up outside, but they do a good job of keeping the line moving. If you arrive early in the morning - before 7:30am you should still have a full selection of donuts - any later you are risking some flavors of being sold out. I will continue to go here any time I am looking for donuts in the morning! read more

While the donuts here are simply amazing, I can't recommend this place because the menu says half a dozen donuts are $10.50 or $11.50 for a mix and they charge you $13.50. Even with tax that would make no sense because tax doesn't come out to perfectly exact amounts. Be warned, the service seems good, but they overcharge you. If I hadn't had my SO with I would've made a fuss- because that's ridiculous!! I wouldn't recommend. read more

Opens very early so it's a perfect stop before work or event. Seems like an endless variety of donuts and other cafe treats. Service is always friendly and fast even if you're picking 3 dozen. Staff is very kind and helpful. We ordered 4 dozen assorted donuts for a donut board and they knew exactly the type of thing we wanted. Everyone at our event loved them. We do not recommend their breakfast sandwiches, it was soggy bread with sausage egg and cheese. read more

They offer a wide variety of fresh donuts and I got a Vanilla buttercream filled Chocolate donut and it was one of the best donuts I have ever had! Their glazed donuts are light and fluffy. HOWEVER, they could use a lot more glaze. I know Asian versions of desserts and pastries are known for not being too sweet by American taste. Frankiy, when I buy these donuts, I make and add my own extra glaze. read more

It's Valentine's Day, I ask for the two donuts to be put in a box vs. a bag so the writing of Be Mine doesn't smear for my sweetie, apparently that was way too much, now I have a smeared donut because she smashed it real good for me putting it in the bag. Have been here twice and so far these donuts have been the best donuts on the NW side of the outer edge of the Twin Cities. My husband told me a lady from work brought them in and that they were really good so we had to go there. Have only been to the Monticello store, there is a store in Buffalo as well. I like that this is a privately and locally owned business. They are open 7 days/week. Get there early for better selection. About the donuts: Blown away by their Peanut Btr /Jelly-filled, the Apple-filled donuts, their Maple-Bacon long John, and the Fruity Pebbles donuts... so incredibly good! What makes them so good is the donut dough... their raised donuts are so soft and fluffy, not greasy, quite exceptional. However, we're not fans of the Apple fritters but in talking w/owner it sounds like they are a bit tricky to make. I hope they keep trying! We've also tried the breakfast sandwiches, the ultimate burrito was quite delicious. Had ham/bacon/sausage, eggs, cheese and hash browns- yum! Didn't even need the salsa. They also have smoothies but we didn't try any. We brought extra donuts home. Usually it's best to eat same day, but we wanted to try an overnight challenge (if they can stick around that long!) Generally day old donuts taste stale with increased flavors of cold grease and soggy dough, if filled, or frosting/ glaze that doesn't hold up to the next day. After having 2 filled donuts and a long john on the counter (under cover with some airflow), the donuts were just as good as the previous day. No sogginess or greasy taste, frosting was just as fresh as the day before! Impressive. Highly recommend this place. Just what the NW side of the outer twin cities needs to raise the bar on donuts in this region! read more

We went opening day and left a new business review, but for some reason Yelp combined it with the place in Buffalo. SO...I'm trying this again. Opening day was quite busy. We went in around 11 (you can tell from the 1/2 empty case, lol). Donuts are fresh and quite tasty. Loved the maple bacon. Thay also had cakes and cookies to chose from.
