We attended a pop up bar/show called Shipwreck Saloon here this past weekend. We weren't sure what to expect but you always have a vision in your head. Well, it was nothing like the vision I had and when it began, I thought I would be disappointed but I am glad to say I wasn't. It was a simple stage and the best way to describe it is a 4 part story telling about the life of a pirate who opened Shipwreck Saloon. It was entertaining and funny and there was some hilarious audience participation. In between the 4 parts, a different rum cocktail was served which were good. I would recommend this show if you find it in your area. It was something different for an evening out and was entertaining!

Such a great girls day seeing "The Cottage" starring my BILs cousin, Becca Blacksten! Great job!!

What a nice, cozy little theatre!! Loved the quaint atmosphere! Definitely worth the experience!!

We recently held a gala of about 120ish people for a small non profit. The staff were helpful and kind. The food was hot and delicious. We needed in a little early and it wasn't an inconvenience. We requested coffee service late notice and were met with wonderful professionalism and help! Shout out to Krissy & her staff. Thank you Hanover Tavern for being so lovely! We would definitely use this venue again. --Millie's Home

A fun night out to see a show in the theater and have dinner. So nice you can do both here. The food was really good and we love the small intimate nature of the theater. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Limited parking in the lot for a busy night but plenty of parking across the street. Well made cocktails as well.

Very cool ambiance and I enjoyed learning some of the history. The food was fantastic. I had the oyster Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. Service is very slow, but we also had a big party on a busy Sunday brunch timeframe. The server was very nice, but just not necessarily in a hurry. I loved learning some of the history of the building. They were hosting a bridal show later that day, so they were just beginning to set up for that, as well. There were lots of things on the menu that looked absolutely delicious. Pricing was reasonable, if not a little expensive, but the quality of the food was top notch. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their meals.

The young ladies at the host stand were very polite. The building itself is a beautiful space, the bathrooms were clean and I like how it wasn't in a populated area but located down a winding road away from everything else. We were seating in about 15 minutes, which was great. I didn't love being seated at a tiny two top in the center of the dining area, but I completely understand how server rotations work, so that is just personal preference. Our server was lovely, she was very attentive and checked on us numerous times, which was great. My blackberry basil margarita was so good! The food is where it went downhill. We ordered the honey butter rolls. They looked and tasted like the Sister Schubert's rolls the grocery store. My husband and I both ordered the Philly cheesesteak with Cajun fries. The fries were fine; they tasted just like the fries from Five Guys. The sandwiches were nothing special. The texture of the meat was similar to the Steak-umms you would buy in the frozen meat isle. The bread was soggy, but the cheese was melted perfectly, and the peppers had a great texture and seasoning. We may give it another try and order something different, maybe we just didn't try the right thing.

While we found a shaded table with a nice breeze outdoors, the chairs were wet and the table was tilted, so we ultimately opted to dine inside. Inside, a band was setting up for music later in the evening, and they boast a large selection of beers on tap. Despite the indoor area being almost full, we were waited on quickly, and our food arrived promptly. For my main course, I had a classic burger (normally served with cheese). Since I prefer no pink, I ordered it without any pink element, which was great as it kept the flavor clean. The exterior had a nice char that added depth to the flavor. The burger was served with thick slices of tomato, onion, and lettuce, a small amount of mustard, and on the side were jalapeno and hot dill pickles. The seasoned fries were very good, though they were slightly too salty for my taste (I'm not a big salt person). If you need to limit your sodium intake, I suggest skipping the seasoned fries. My wife ordered the Ahi Tuna Tacos, which were delicious and beautifully encrested. While she found the coating flavor was unusual with tuna initially, adding lime juice made it perfect. When I tried a piece, we noticed that the tuna might have been cooked on the same surface as my burger, picking up some of the char, which added an interesting element. Overall, the service was excellent throughout, and both our meals were enjoyable and served hot and quickly. The atmosphere is lively, filled with customers enjoying the music. We didn't stay for the band (which I'm sure would have enhanced the mood), but we noted that the outdoor tables are quieter and suitable for families--though this might change later in the evening. This spot is perfect whether you're looking for a quick meal or an enjoyable evening with live music.

The inside has TVs all over- my kids loved that a couple even had cartoons on for them. The server was great the entire meal. They have a good lunch special menu- i went with the brisket tacos which were two large tacos loaded with meat and corn salsa plus a pepper sauce. They had a great kick to them. The spicy chips on the side were also great, and much better than the standard fries that seem to come with everything at these types of places. Its a good option right off the highway for a stop.

She really liked it. Now walking past the desert case, I spotted chocolate chip bread pudding thing. I was very very good. Rich tasting but very good. As for service. There was a line maybe 10 folks ahead of us. It went fairly fast. The ladies did real well moving meals out. Id say we waited maybe 15 minutes for our meals and maybe 10 minutes in line. It's a beautiful evening, I sit outside and place my order. Husband wife owners make their way over to introduce themselves separately. We engage in small talk. The first two courses come and are delicious. Someone then brings a scallop appetizer and I say no I had the entree because I am looking forward to the risotto. The waitress comes to apologize for putting in the appetizer instead of entree and says dessert is on me. The entree comes out and the balsamic glaze made the scallops look seared but they weren't and a couple of the larger ones were less than fully cooked. What I ate was very tasty and briny. The risotto was superb. Alex, the owner, comes over to ask how things are so I tell him the flavor of the scallops is excellent and fresh, I just with they seared better. He could see I was trimming and eating the edge. He thanks me for the input and disappears. Mary Ann, the owner, comes by to ask how things are and I tell her the same thing. She says let me bring you something else like a bowl of pasta. I tell her not a bowl just a saucer so I can taste it. She heads off. Alex returns with two scallops cooked to perfection. A few minutes later Mary Ann returns with a full bowl of bolognese pasta. Later the waitress returns with my apple pie dessert which was outstanding! When the waitress brings the bill she explains the scallops were removed from the check and replaced with the pasta (lower price). The dessert was complimentary. She got a great tip. They went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied and this is what all restaurants should do. Because of that I'll be back. Well if they weren't closing October 25. But they are opening a new restaurant, Opa Social October 27.
