Food is excellent. Worth the wait! Highly recommend this place. The chicken is moist and tender, fried but not too greasy.

Some Chicken pieces was heavy on the salt, but overall it was seasoned well enough that I didnt need to add much hot sauce to it. My group of 5 people all rate it 5/5. We were seated within 5 minutes after the table was cleaned off. We decided to get catfish with collards and mashed potatoes with gravy, and fried pork chop with Mac and cheese and potatoe salad. While waiting for our entrees, we received a biscuit with butter and strawberry jam on a small plate. It took about 20 minutes for our food to come out. We did get plastic cups to self serve our drinks. The catfish had a pretty brown coating but could use more seasoning. The collards tasted like it came out of the can of Glory greens. The mashed potatoes need salt and pepper and butter. The fried pork chops needed salt as well. The Mac and cheese looked like Velveeta and the potatoes in the potatoe salad was firm but had a decent taste. There wasn't a designated server for any of the tables. There were at least six other tables with two or more people at each table. It seems to be a little disorganized with serving people. We had to ask for a to go box to a woman who was walking around with her hands in her pocket. We just assumed she worked there as well. There was a jazz band scheduled to perform in the other area of the building at 6pm tonight. I'll stick to my chicken gizzards and fried chicken if I return again. The prices are reasonable for a soul food restaurant. The sweet tea and kool-aid was good as well. Everyone was nice and pleasant upon entering the restaurant.

After she…read morecame home from a hair appointment, we traveled here to an area of Williamsburg that we've never been to before. For the most part, it's street parking where we found a very good spot and restaurants and stores galore. Let's see how this spot turned out for us. Inside, the decor is very nice. They have a few tables inside and plenty in the outside patio. It's basically a spot that's takeout but if want to dine-in, that's totally fine. And they serve Kung Fu Tea, one of our favorite guilty pleasures that unfortunately closed near us months ago. After a few minutes, we ordered at the counter. Along with a large Strawberry Milk slush, I selected a 5 piece tender combo with a side of crinkle fries. First off, the slush was pretty good. At 50% sugar with boba pearls, it hit the sweet spot very well. It felt like old times when we used to order KFT often. But, the chicken combo itself was underwhelmimg. The food came out hot and ready, but the tenders were tough to break apart either by biting into it or with your hands if you dipped in any of their sauces. Sophia ordered a chicken sandwich and wasn't impressed, saying eating a Chick-Fil-A sandwich is better. That says a lot. I did take some home to eat for leftovers, but like earlier, could've been better. Not to put any bad press on the business, but it was disappointing. Again, it's basically a takeout spot and one for KFT admirers like us. We will come back only for that reason the next time we're around.

The 1st time I came across Super Chix was in 2023 for a Yelp event when they opened up. Let's see if the trend continues. We were greeted by the staff when we walked inside. They had a good crowd inside for a Sunday afternoon which is a good thing. The decor looked spotless from what I could tell and TVs were showing sports from different leagues. Both of us had to order from the booth before getting seated where they'll deliver your food via a number. My selection was 4 chicken tenders and fries topped with rosemary pepper seasoning. And I chose buttermilk ranch and Korean BBQ sauces for dipping. Everything was delicious. The tenders were hot and cooked perfectly and the fries had proper seasoning. Truly made my belly get full before I finished. Thanks again Super Chix for having yours truly satisfied during lunch. You guys will continue to be a choice the next time we're in the area :)

With that being said, Folks, do be kind and compassionate, that means with your Support of not only patronage in dining here, but, also your PATIENCE and POSITIVITY. They are a 3 People Operation, Sheldon, Tony and Marcus, and they give of themselves wholly in delivering a great meal to Everyone who ventures their way. They care about every single morsel, and they care about every single experience, and whether you know it or not, every single meal is cooked to order, not microwaved like other places. So, yes, it will take a little longer in getting your meal you ordered, BUT!! You can rest assured that your meal is FRESH, HOT, and delectably Grrrrrrreat Also, I would like to add, please be respectable...if you don't have time to wait for a FRESHLY COOKED GREAT MEAL, then do move along, but, please don't try and slander them with negative reviews (uncle tom effect) some folk don't get this good of a meal at home (yeaa I said it.) And another thing I witnessed as a patron tried throwing dissension in the midst, by offering what might be considered as a PSEUDO Compliment when she stated that one of the staff members should not hesitate when GOD blesses him with an opportunity to remove himself from this blessing of an establishment, telling him that his blessing is not there. That was so disrespectful, as that young man is HIGHLY BLESSED, and what the person who made that comment to him, didn't know, is that, that establishment is initiated, owned, operated by his loving Father, who also works there, giving of time, and energy and showing his Son the positive sides of life and blessing him to comprehend what it is to be an Entrepreneur. That is TRUE LOVE The young man, with true humility, and dedication to his mission, and to his Father, never lost focus, showed respect in acknowledging the customer, as everyone has an opinion, regardless of how off-base, or out of touch it is, he still showed respect. We need to keep SMALL BUSINESSES such as theirs running and functional, instead of just large chains, where they mass produce and offer very little in the way of personal service and great interactions, along with Great Real Foods. On my visit, they were packed and has 18+ guests in attendance, yet, still, reward yourselves with the experience, and PLEASE, Be Patient and Continue to SUPPORT them. The store itself is cozy with just a couple small tables to sit at while you wait for your takeout. It is takeout only. With this cozy atmosphere also is the homely atmosphere provided by the staff. It was my first time stopping in and they ring a bell for all first timers. In terms of food, I ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken egg roll, and crab cake egg roll (special). They give you yum yum sauce and ginger sauce with the meal. They also recommend that you combine the sauces to create a "magic" sauce. Let's dive in to the food. The egg rolls were divine. I probably could have eaten 5 or 6. They are bigger than average egg rolls and hand rolled in the shop. When I go back I think I'll just get a few of these. The chicken fried rice was good. The chicken was fresh and had a good flavor too it. The rice was also good especially when you drizzle the sauce into it. It is a deceptive amount of rice. While they say it's just for one, I could have easily shared it with someone. I am overjoyed that this place has opened in Williamsburg. Being here for a while, it gets hard finding new places. It's also always great to know that you are supporting a local business!
