Me and hubby decided, to try some good ole BBQ for lunch since it's so hard to find a good spot in North Carolina. I got the chicken platter with a side of collard greens and poblano Mac n cheese. The chicken wasnt dried at all! Omg the Mac n cheese was Soo cheesy, creamy and delicious. Collard greens had piexes of bacon in it and the seasoning was on point. You will see some sauces on the table to use, vinegar, sticky patches and tide water. I love the sticky patches mix with vinegar on the pulled chicken. It's like a BBQ sauce but way better. The platter was a hit for my tummy and taste buds! I did had a side Arugula salad, the dressing they use mix with the crumble cheese, slices of applies, nuts was so refreshing after walking for a good 4 hours visiting the Jamestown Settlement. Hubby had The Big Hal sandwich ( sliced brisket, pulled pork, seared pork belly, coleslaw, red onions, soy pickle jalapenos, bread and butter pickles on a brioche bun) with a side of fries. Hubby was a happy man and finish his whole plate lol. There are some outdoor sitting, if that is your thing. Service was quick and our server was friendly. I couldn't eat all my food but trust I took it to go to enjoy later. We were very pleased with our lunch and would recommend this to new folks visiting in time!

One of my favorite parts of the plate was the brisket, it was so tender and well seasoned I highly recommend it. I also got an order of ribs and you know it's going to be good ribs once they fall off the bone. As for the sides, the coleslaw was refreshing and the fries were very crisp and fresh. Would definitely come back here again.

We were craving BBQ after a long day at Busch Gardens and we came across Old City. A great little spot, the food is incredible and the servers are super nice and accommodating. I'm still dreaming of those pork belly bites, highly recommend!

When visiting Colonial Williamsburg, be sure to stop at Old City BBQ. The restaurant is only 1.5 miles away. Here's my rating: -Pork Belly Bites 5/5 The following rating 4.5/5: -Pulled Pork -Collard Greens -Banana bread pudding The following rating 4/5: -Brisket -not tender or fatty enough. -Smoked Cheddar Poblano Mac n cheese -Smoked Stout beans There's indoor/outdoor seating the outdoor had two fire pits. The service was great and restaurant decorated nicely. I definitely would come back especially, for the Pork Belly Bites! Happy Yelping :)

A couple of the table sauces. The Tidewater was my favorite.

Well we have visited here before and today 12/10/24, was our latest visit and today was a good as ever. As for the food: very very good. I have to say I really like the pulled pork but the brisket is always my favorite. Very flavorful. The wifey really likes her pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top. Now let me also mention, the pickled onions that put on the plates and I guess on some sandwiches is wonderful. As for service: the place was very full, since it was lunchtime. However, our server was on a roll and really took care of us. Checked on us 3 times and kept our drinks full. A nice joint. Always seems clean and not to get too detailed but needed to use the restrooms before we left and went back out to shopping. Both were clean and seem well kept and let me remind you the place was full of customers. I assume they are checking them regularly. So if you're looking for a nice bbq meal, swing on in and enjoy your meal.

Their brisket was soft and you have 3 different bbq sauce to choose from. I ordered their seared pork belly bahn mi and it was huge for me. I wish they seasoned the pork belly more tho and I didnt really taste any sauce to the bread. Bread was crispy pn the outside and soft inside and same as their cornbread.

I will be honest the food is fantastic!!! The ambiance is fitting for a BBQ joint. I love the casual and fun design of the restaurant. They played up the local and BBQ mix. The service was good but pushy. I didn't enjoy how hard my server was trying ro sell dessert. I wanted to ask her if she got commission on it. Back to the food though. I got the brisket dipper and holy smokes. The brisket was juicy and flavorful and the dip made it even better. I got the sweet potato fries which were good but not great. But I'd return for the brisket any day. My date got the taco sampler and beans and said they were delicious. They disappeared quickly too.

My server, Bliss, helped me pick the perfect meal for my first time visit. My NY Ribs were delicious - tender, flavorful, and generously slathered with tasty bbq. The side of cornbread was the perfect complement to the meat. Service was fast, everything came hot and tasty. Definitely a great place to have an awesome meal.

Great restaurant! Went here on a Saturday afternoon, fairly busy but received food so quickly! It's hard to find good bbq in VA so I was a bit reluctant to try the bbq out but wow I was so glad I did! It was so good! Nice and soft and smoky. Pickles were delicious. I will have to order the pickle plate next time. Fries were delicious! Cornbread was tasty and sweet. The pecan pie was perfect!

I haven't done a yelp review in forever, but this place was so darn good, I came back just to leave this review. Really cute ambiance, clean and stylish bathrooms, nice outdoor seating area. Right when we pulled into the parking lot, you could just tell it was going to be good by the smell. I got the Seared Pork Belly Bahn Mi, it almost brought me to tears, it was so fire. The pork belly was so tender, the flavor of the sandwich was 20/10. We almost had both their different types of Mac n cheese, and they were both amazing. The corn bread was on another level. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, it has pimento cheese and bourbon maple bacon (I loved it). We finished with their banana pudding, it was heavenly. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. This was so worth the drive from VB. We will definitely be back!

I don't know what the difference is between this Rick's and the other ones, but this one feels the most authentic and just what a cheese steak should be. The seasoning is simple, nothing overpowering. The bread could use more toasting, but it compliments the meat seasoning very well. When it comes to Cheese Steaks, it doesn't get more authentic and true to taste than this. I like the fact that they also have some great chicken cheese steaks (the fam isn't a fan of straight steak) with the same level of attention to detail as the original. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. it's a big, big, win. Food Taste: 5 Overall Service: 5 Value of service to cost: 5 Facility: 5 Ambiance: The inside is very simple. The Philly egg rolls were tasty, but I wish there was more cheese. But it had a good crisp. We got the buffalo garlic sauce, which tasted very much like pure buffalo sauce. Thank you for the food as we travel from Hampton Roads to Northern Virginia!

It's been at least a year since visiting TD because it's somewhat of a lengthy drive from where I live so, when passing by it's a convenient food option. So glad I stopped and revisited. My visit was mid afternoon with only a handful of customers in the place. I was instantly greeted with a friendly smile and hello, said I wanted to order a to-go and grab a beer as I waited. Melody at the bar was very friendly and accommodating as she served up a beer and walked me thru my food questions and order. Once I got home, it was chow time. The whole rack of ribs was deliciously moist, tender and flavorful as was the pulled pork I ordered for sandwiches. The sides included mayo based slaw (they have both vinegar and mayo slaw choices) and collard greens. The slaw was fresh and good but, the collards were very good! I should have also order the baked beans but was an oversight. I'll order the beans next time for sure and there will be a next time sooner than later. My late lunch/early dinner to-go was a delicious meal. Two Drummers staff is friendly, the food is very good and, if stopping to eat in the restaurant or to just have a beer/drink at the bar, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Definitely a good family owned business to patronize!

Berry Burrata 3/5 - Not my favorite, but still decent. Asian Chicken Wraps 3/5 - This was okay, just a little too saucy for me. Fried Green Tomatoes 5/5 - One of our favorites. When I got to the restaurant I asked if they had horse radish: no. Au jus: yes. I wanted a piece of Carrot cake but I thought $18 was exorbitant. I opted for the pecan pie instead. The online menu said they had some crispy chicken dinner... It was no longer part of the menu when I arrived to the restaurant.. My significant other is allergic to shellfish, and does not eat pork... There weren't a lot of entrée options for him because there was pork all over the place. I did order him some salmon since he could not get the chicken. He liked the salmon. The broccoli had no flavor on it. And the brown rice pilaf was equally Bland. The brisket sandwich was ...okay... but dipping it in French onion soup calling it onion jus.... It just pissed me off. I think the menu was overpriced for tourists. The staff seemed to be doing the best they could. I guess I'll continue my hunt for the best Friend dip in Williamsburg. I'm down here a lot.

The burnt ends dog was said to be pretty freaking good. As for the American dog, we'll that was a different story. It wasn't a bad dog, but it tasted like it had been boil cooked and not cooked on the griddle. Additionally, it wasn't really that warm. I guess warm is a good description for it. It would have been better if it was hot and you could see some cooking marks on it. Alas, it was and had neither. But again, it wasn't a bad dog, but it could have been much better. The onion rings were pretty tasty though, as were the funnel cake fries and crinkle cut fries. This night was Wednesday, so it was trivia night. At 6:30.
