This place is sooo good, and the wait staff is really friendly! Very cozy place but comfy!

Besides being filthy and the fact that all food they serve is awful I was amazed by the interior and by utensils and dishes they use to serve food to customers - my dogs eat from a better plates! All interior is the worst and cheapest collection of old and shitty things which are probably collected from a dumpsters including the dishes and utensil. I would be ashamed to take those things to donation centers. They even have an old church bench as a table seat, very comfortable. However, I was shocked by chipped plates and coffee cups. Come on people! This is America! At least you could by some new cheap plates and coffee cups. You serve food in chipped plates is disgusting and extremely dangerous for people. Same deal with the coffee cups, and utensils. It always amazes me how people don't think, when you go next time here, just stop and look around you, look at your stupid plate, really! You'll eat that crap from that crappy plate. read more

I've been to the Hangar Cafe before and enjoyed it. However today when I attempted to go there, I parked in back, because there were no signs indicating that it was not allowed. A lady that that was clearly an employee let me know that it was employee parking only. I apologized and mentioned that I didn't know because there was no signs. She then copped and attitude shaking her head. As a result the business lost my business. Customer Obsession and Customer Service paired with good food are key things every restaurant should focus on and with out being good at all of them a business is doomed. read more

We stopped here before heading to the Museum of Flight, which is about 5-10 minutes away by car. We were able to get a table on the patio on a Sunday morning around 10am without a wait. I thought the iced coffee, which was of course served in a mason jar, was very tasty. Both my husband and I ordered the market crepe...super delicious! My mother-in-law ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was a special item, and she really enjoyed them. Overall, I would definitely go back. The service was great, and the food came out quickly. I should have written this review months ago! I took a day off from work to spend on myself, and started it off right by having breakfast at the Hangar Cafe with a best girlfriend. It was drizzly and cold, so Hangar's cozy tables and mellow music were a perfect fit for the morning. We both had the Hangar Crepe (mentioned below in another review, unbelievably delish) and then shared a banana/nutella crepe for dessert because it's easier to assuage the guilt if you're sharing, right? Our waiter was friendly and attentive (though I am knocking off a star for the failure to omit sliced raw onions from our crepes as we had both requested), the restaurant stayed mostly empty (not surprising at 10am on a weekday) and we left happy and sated. If I lived closer, I would be here ALL THE TIME, but alas, Wedgwood to Georgetown is a bit of a drive--this will have to be a special treat! read more

It's a small spot. So I wouldn't recommend coming here with a large party. I liked the diversity of food types and they have a daily special that they don't always have. I would recommend at least trying this for yourself. I stay in SoCal, so I gave it 4 stars knowing if I came back up I would make a conscious effort to eat here again. CREPES? More like CRAP. They burnt my $9 crepes. I wanted to like it here, I really did. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. However, when I received my crepes I was told that they were a bit crispy - a bit meaning burnt? If these crepes were about $5-6, I wouldn't mind the crepes because this crappy. With $9, I could've gone somewhere better for better quality! Also, I ordered the strawberry, banana, and Nutella crepes - a classic crepe recipe. Our last food stop before boarding the aiport in Seattle. And what a great stop it was. Hangar Cafe is a must if you're into both savory and sweet crepes. Pros: -Atmosphere was spot on. It felt like I was eating in a white grandma's home. -The crepe to filling ratio was finely balanced. You can make the same case for the tomatoes, which played well with the eggs and sausage. -The coffee was good. I had two cups. Cons: -I didn't like this style of potatoes, which were cubed, pan cooked potatoes. I like shredded potato hash browns more. read more

Will need to go back to try other menu items. Decent food. Service bad enough that you won't care. Tried this place today after finding great reviews on Yelp. You're all liars. This place is noisy, cramped, and has the worst service I've seen in months. Maybe years. At no time did anything resembling "service" happen; their interaction with us began and ended at plopping down a water bottle and taking our orders (then losing them). About an hour after ordering, we noticed that people seated 30 minutes after us had entrees. We didn't. So I politely inquired what happened, and was told -- passive-aggressively -- "there's a whole outside section too, you know, they also need food". Their patio was half-empty, and those people all arrived *long* after us. Another 10 mins later, now 70 minutes since our arrival, our orders arrive. Still no interaction with the waitress, though I got one coffee refill from another. The crepes were good, but came slathered in some garlicky, acrid green sauce that wasn't mentioned on the menu, and smelled like they were going for "Oscar the Grouch" flavor. Portions were also quite small. So, we waited over an hour for a half-sized fixer-upper entree. So, if you're still gullible enough to try this place: * Bring a sack lunch. Service is that bad. * Sit outside, because the inside is a sardine can, even when half empty. I can only imagine what it feels like when they're full. * Don't bother ordering anything that you might need refilled, because it's not happening, and they'll get upset if you even ask about it. * Don't expect to order dessert, because they just don't care. The crepes are OK, once you remove the cringe-worthy green sauce. There are some imaginative combinations. But portions are small, and, after service that awful, you couldn't pay me to eat at this place again. read more

Love planes! Love food! Hangar Café is an amazing place for great breakfast/brunch food in Georgetown! We came in with a baby and they were so nice to set us up outside (they were not planning on having any tables outside as it had just rained), however, they gladly did it for us! There is no or very-very limited space inside for a high chair or a stroller. The menu is wonderful! It has a nice selection of crêpes, omelets, bakes and mimosas in pint jar (!!!) and just good hearty breakfast/brunch food in a friendly setting. We thought service was on a slow side, but they were extremely busy, so, overall, it was ok. The café is right on the landing path of small planes that land in the Renton municipal airport and it gets rather noisy. We loved watching them land and it made our outing entertaining and fun. I recommend Hangar Café highly and would definitely be back. read more

Amaze-balls. They really play up the airplane theme as you will have jumbo jets landing, what seems like, just feet above your head however they put a lot of thought into the decoration so that it is fun thing not annoying. I am sure in Seattle they could get enough good reviews and customers based on this alone but they DO NOT on their laurels their food is AMAZING. They didn't ask if we wanted to sit in or outside, just assumed we wanted to sit inside. Multiple parties came in after and they asked them if they wanted to sit outside, they were seated right away while we just stood there waiting. Actually, you know what? Scratch that. The food's awful and everyone at Hangar is super unfriendly. And the coffee has popcorn kernels in it, or something. Have I scared you off? Good. If you don't eat here, I'm more likely to fetch a table. Tip: If you're a hungry feller like myself, don't even wait to see if you'd want a side of bacon w/ your crepe. Just get the bacon. The food is great but if you are a larger party then 5 on weekends don't bother going. We had 8 and they said we don't usual take large parties but the place was at quarter capacity so they took us. We said we would split into 2 parties and were willing to have our food out at different times.
