Luis and his crew were fantastic. Great commutation from start to finish, great work and very professional.

Luis from Handy Door was great. I had a slab door that I needed hung and Luis came straight out and was done in a matter of hours. Very prompt, professional and easy going. The door is beautiful and his workmanship impeccable. I'd highly recommend Luis if you have doors to hang. read more

Luis is very nice and professional for doing his work. My front door was tilt and hard to open. Luis came on time to check out the issue and fixed the problem right away. He is really polite, patient and willing to help. There's some other minor problems which he also took care of them without adding extra fee to it. Luis will definitely be the person on top of my list whenever there's something need to be fixed around the house. Truly recommended! read more

Luis and partner just replaced my 75 year old front door. Great job at a reasonable price. They protected all surfaces inside and out while they worked, and left my home as clean as they found it. Luis is a great communicator, answering every text in a timely manner - very reassuring when you're dealing with someone you don't know.I feel fortunate to have found them and would hire them again in a second. read more

I reached out to Luis to help me install 2 slab doors, as well as two sliding bypass closet doors. He was super easy to communicate with and get in touch with. We needed to purchase a kit for the closet doors, and not only did he track down the kit for me, he picked it up before our appt. He arrived on time, worked quickly, and didn't leave even the tiniest mess behind. He did an amazing job installing our doors, and I couldn't be happier. His prices were also crazy reasonable. The new doors in our guest house look so fab, I now want to replace all of the other doors in our home! read more

My husband hired Louis to install our doors. I came home and they were beautifully put up. I could not imagine such a great job but came home happily surprised. Our doors look beautiful and in perfect condition. Excellent price for the work he did. Definitely recommend :) read more

Luis was eminently professional, courteous and prompt with all communications. His prices were better than all others I had researched. He even managed to install our electronic lock despite all instructions being written in Chinese and took a look at one of our inside doors to give some tips. I would definitely recommend Luis and his work. He's a true craftsman! read more

I looked all over for someone who would install doors on newly framed doorways. Finally, I found the handy doorman on yelp. I got lucky because he was available the next day and he came in and installed three unfinished solid slab doors. Two of the doorways were only 2 x 4's with no jambs. Luis and his worker did an excellent job on all three doors and his price was very reasonable. I've already recommended him to some of my coworkers. read more

These guys know their doors. Contractor could not adjust new doors but these guys did! Call them if u have any door issue.

Luis and Ignacio have been a life saver two times now. Once on my front door and the second time on an interior closet. They went above and beyond to help throughout the house and do things I didn't contract them to do. Easiest 5 star I've ever given read more

I've now used Luis on three jobs and he and his crew are top notch. There's an absolute craft to this stuff, and Luis tackles each job as if it were his own home. He's installed two sets of new french doors for us and he also widened a pantry doorway and installed new pantry doors. The frame, the jamb, the trim. All of it perfect. This even involved cutting little strips of white oak to match our floors to fill in spots where the walls had moved. The pricing is fair, they show up on time, they work quickly and they don't leave until everything is exactly as you want it. read more

No response after several calls and an email. Voicemail always full. Good luck to others....

Luis is the best! We feel so lucky to have found him. Our neighbors highly recommended him and I can see why! We were about to spend almost 10k replacing all the outside doors to our house because they couldn't accommodate locks we wanted, but Luis suggested getting replacement locks instead for just a couple hundred bucks. I told him everyone else who saw our doors said they are a very unusual size and brand and locks couldn't be replaced, but sure enough he was able to drill and file it down and worked his magic to make new locks fit! Can't believe he saved us so much money and went out of his way to do this for us instead of the big job he could have had replacing all of our doors! I didn't think honest and kind people like Luis existed anymore! You're truly not going to find a better door installer or for a better price. He also has access to a great selection of doors for great prices. We're getting a beautiful modern front door from him now as well! read more

We couldn't be happier with Luis and our entry door. Excellent service and price.

Look no further....Luis is your man! He is so kind and very courteous. He even volunteered to pick up my door at Home Depot. He did an amazing job with my bedroom door, will definitely call him again in the future. Thanks Luis! read more

Luis did a great job installing a back door for me. It opens and closes like a dream. I'd definitely use him again.

I contacted Luis and requested a quote for the installation of a wrought iron front door. Luis provided a detailed description and explanation of the work. His quote was reasonable and he arrived on time. Luis and his assistant we very professional. They completed the demo and install in a timely manner. Once the work was completed Luis made sure we were happy with the work before he left. Very professional, very quick and very clean. Will definitely use again on some future work we have planned. read more

Luis and his team are REALLY awesome! After a 3 month saga of trying to find an installer, I phoned Luis for a quote and he promptly came out to the house, reviewed the door installation job with me, and turned around the quote via email that evening. He made scheduling the job a breeze. On the day of the job, he came out to the house with the installers, Ricardo and Ignacio, to introduce me to them and cover off any details for the day's installation. Ricardo and Ignacio did a PRO JOB! installing the door and were very professional and courteous. All around excellent service from great people! I look forward to my next door installation process with them. Thanks Handy Door Man!! read more

From the moment he came to my house to take measurements, to the quick (and professional/detailed) quote, to getting me in contact with Crenshaw doors & windows (Richard) to delivery and installation I could not be more satisfied. I work in Construction Management so I know how hard it is to find a good, honest, reliable and profesional contractor and he proved that there are still quality professionals in our trade out there. Our project was small which was replacing our front door, and they treated me with the same customer care as if I were contracting them for a large project. They arrived on time and as scheduled, they took their time to do an excellent job and I so very much appreciate that, they did not cut corners and even did more than expected, worked with me fine tuning some door details such as door pull installation and even installed our smart lock. I wish they would do more than doors because I would hire them to do all the projects I have for our house. I would recommend Luis in a heartbeat. Great service! read more

I left a voicemail and made numerous phone calls and still no contact. I have been trying for over two weeks. I have work that needs to be done in Los Angeles. Don't use - go else where read more

I hired Lewis to replace the existing lock on my door with a high-end Samsung digital keyless entry lock. My Front door is a custom European style door with a mortise lock and so the job was quite complicated. Lewis did a terrific job, going above and beyond to modify the door and ensure that it locked and close properly. He was even willing to come back to my house and modify the lock again when it needed a slight repair. A+ customer service and A wonderful person to do business with. Highly recommended! read more

Definitely five star service. Luis was able to easily fix my wooden front door that had been getting stuck where the deadbolt was for almost a year. Some drywall repairs I did last summer in my entryway caused the door frame to swell up (even more so in the heat). Kicking your own door down on a daily basis after its unlocked is not fun. Luis adjusted the hinges first, shaved the door, and then took a chisel and expertly adjusted the lockset all in less than 30 minutes. Very cool to watch him work. He even has a bag on his sander and a vacuum with him to keep the workspace clean! He's very professional and polite. This guy knows his craft. I'm looking forward to saving for some new interior doors so I can have him come out and install them for me. Thanks again Luis! read more

Luis from Handy door man did a great job. He showed up on time to verify the problem, and to install the garage door opener. He took the time to do everything correctly, the electrical and installation of the door opener and adjustment of the settings, the key pad, the electronic eyes, and helped me set up the MyQ application. He also installed a a door re-enforcer on another door and it looks fine! His rates are very reasonable and he is easy to work with. I will be referring Luis to my real estate clients and acquaintances without any concern. It's nice to know someone is doing their best on the job, and see that they have pride of workmanship. read more

I've use Handy Door man for all my wood door jobs, Jose is a very professional and hones guy, they all ways do an outstanding work they keep the job site very clean, awesome service i highly recommend. read more

Luis and Ricardo were at the location ready to work on time. These two gentlemen are extremely meticulous and worked well and fast. They installed a metal security door in front of the main entrance. After calling several companies, most were too busy to call back or wouldn't take the job because it was a small project. Initially I dealt with Ignacio and he was very responsive in answering all questions I had about what to expect. read more

I have been trying to get in contact with the owner for several days to discuss the prospect of installing a new wooden front door for my home but I am unable to receive any phone calls back. Left a couple of voice mails with no response. Finally tried to call one last time this morning and the mailbox is now full. Apparently this self employed business owner has so much business going on that he does not deem it necessary to take on any additional clients. It's unfortunate that a business owner is letting potential customers fall by the wayside all due to his inability to return a call. His work looked really good, too based on the pictures posted. Oh well. I will find someone else who wants the job and money. read more

I generally don't write reviews but wanted to share that my experience with Handy Door Man was a pleasure from start to finish. I emailed Luis with our door issues and within a few days he responded. At the estimate he offered any money saving options he saw and later emailed a detailed estimate with each cost broken down. Luis responded to every question I texted him during the period we waited for the door to arrive. Ignacio and Ricardo handled the door installation and other projects. They were on time, professional, and knowledgeable. Ignacio periodically kept us informed on where they were at in the work and asked our preferences at certain points. We are happy we can now cross this door project off our "To Do" list and with the service of Handy Door Man. read more

Initial reply 24 hours. After 2 weeks of follow up with the company, they never replied with a quote.

I hired Louis to install new hardware and change the glass on our front doors. He did an excellent job...the doors look amazing. Louis was incredibly professional. He responded quickly to calls and texts, was very helpful in selecting our materials, and provided overall great service. Highly recommended! read more

Luis is very accommodating! In addition he's very professional and does great work. We had our patio door, kitchen door moldings, and window repair all done by Luis. We couldn't be happier with his responsiveness and great quality of work! Highly recommend him. read more

I will definitely recommend these gentlemen without hesitation. They showed real expertise while installing three doors at my home recently. They were on time, did the work at a fair price and cleaned up after themselves. The installations are perfect, and I am very happy. Any future problems with other doors, and I will call them immediately. These days, it can be difficult to find honest and accomplished workmen. Handy Door Man fits the bill perfectly. read more

Terrific job, the guys installed a new front exterior door and 2 office doors. They came out FANTASTIC! It's was on a 1924 home that has many quirks, mainly I don't think they used levels when it was built. The guys were on time and left everything clean when they were done. If they had 6 stars, I'd give it! read more

Luis was great. Very professional and tries to do the best possible job. Others have said this, but he is also very honest and makes sure the work is done right. Can't expect any better here. He also has an extended network of people to help out on other home related matters and having used some of them as well, they all carry a great customer centric approach which I really appreciated. read more

Luis was very professional and knows what hes doing. Very kind and personable as well. He fixed a door problem for me pretty fast. He goes the extra mile to make sure everything is working well and will explain it all to you. After the first try it was better. But he even went back, took it off and attempted to make it better again. In addition he checked out my broken garage door after chatting about it. And since the fix was minor he was happy to do it free of charge. Good man. Will recommend to anyone. read more

This is an update to my original negative review. After I posted my original review and was unhappy that I had no return call, Luis called me immediately and was very sorry. We talked and he recommended which door would be best for me and even sent a link. I texted him a few times and he was quick to respond. And although he doesn't often come as far as my house is, he agreed to make an appointment and install my door. Yesterday Luis and his helper installed the door and did an excellent and very professional job. The door looks great and he even adjusted a different door and did not charge me any extra. I would highly recommend calling Luis for all your door needs. read more

I hate to ruin a streak of perfect 5 stars, but I've been trying to make contact for two weeks with no luck. Three phone calls (only two messages since the first time I called, vm was full), an email, and a text. No response. Moving on to someone else. read more

Luis was fast, fastidious (he wore booties) and generally helpful. He charged me fairly.

Luis did a great job replacing both a front and side entry door for our home. He was a pleasure to work with - very friendly and quick in responding to messages. On his way to the job, he even stopped to pick-up new door locks for us. After the installation was complete, we simply asked for advice on attaching a curtain rod (like we had on the old door) to one of the new doors, as it was our first metal door. Very quickly, he offered to remove the rod from the old door and attach it our new one and within a few minutes it was a done deal! We are very pleased with the new installed doors; it's very evident that he takes pride in his work! Thanks Luis! read more

Luis is really as great as the reviews suggest. He is reliable, professional, responsive, reasonably priced, and does great work. I'd add one more quality: incredibly patient. My husband and I had tons of questions and we went back and forth for awhile with Luis as we were dealing with a few other related parts of the job. He responded to all our questions and concerns and clearly knows his stuff. I will recommend him to everyone I know! read more

My front door had an opening in the middle which wind and sound can come through easily. Luis was able to fix that fairly easy and a great price too. He also gave some recommendation about putting another lock on it for more security which we did. He was an honest and patient person to work with. I highly recommend Luis to help with your doors. read more
