First time visiting Nantucket and I got to try Handlebar Cafe which is located right across the street from the bus terminal. It is a simple cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a selection of drinks including a variety of coffee drinks, teas and matcha latte. As a popular tourist spot, this location sells merchandise as well. There are a few hydrangea bushes outside. I tried their ice latte with vanilla and oatmilk. It wasn't too sweet and served with less ice as I requested. The service was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend.

Worth the wait in line! This place is small and quaint but full of flavor! The blueberry crumble latte is out of this world. The staff is friendly and fast at delivering lattes on a busy Sunday morning.

This is by far the best coffee/ cafe in town. We have visited every morning and have tried iced vanilla lattes, matchas, chias, pastries and their nitro cold brew! Their nitro cold brew is one of the best we've ever had. They also have a variety of different cold drinks to grab to go, and island papers to read while in line. The line moves fast, and they have plenty of staff working, and you're in and out! I think their drinks are VERY reasonably priced for what you get. Grab a bag of their beans to bring home. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Loved this coffee shop! Stopped by early in the morning, appreciate their hours! The place was already busy, good number of folks working inside, which is not surprising given the cozy vibe! Fast, friendly service and prices were reasonable! The coffee was tasty - didn't get any fancy, just their black coffee, which was full of flavor and perfectly hot! Will make sure to stop the next time I visit. Check this place out, I loved their patio.

Best coffee on the island? That's word on the street, and after trying 4 different places, I agree. My Americano was delicious. The service was quiet, but fine. There's seating on the inside, but we chose the director chairs on the patio and enjoyed the weather and foot traffic. Definitely go here to grab a coffee.

Highly recommend this cafe! Super welcoming and cute outdoor walk up and seating area. Inside is bright yet very cozy coffee shop energy. The music is upbeat yet not too much. The employees are friendly, and make the drinks very quickly even with constant customers. My cappuccino was made within a minute of ordering, and it was perfect! Not too sweet, not heavy at all. They don't seem to use sweetened almond milk. The espresso flavor was incredible. Added cocoa powder in the pic. 5/5.

I came here with my friend since we were staying in the area and wanted to check it out. They have a cute outdoor seating area, and some tables inside as well. Their drink menu is pretty extensive and they also have pastries and other light fare to eat. They sell coffee, hats and other merch with their logo on it and the service was great. I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in Nantucket.

I found this super cute freshly ground coffee shop on the island of Nantucket. It's not easy to find a place that truly has great coffee, even after reading reviews. The perception of great coffee truly lies with the individual and what might be great to one, not so much to the next. For me, Handlebar aced all my coffee needs, considering the availability of great coffee on the island is slim to none. Easy to order, and they have a cute few tables & chairs outside to sip & watch the people go by. It is also dog friendly with water bowls at the ready. It's kind of off the beaten path so it's not super busy. That made it all the more attractive to me. It's almost like a neighborhood joint with locals frequenting the place. It's also across the street from a bus depot which didn't really make any difference to the volume of people in the coffee shop.

Great coffee & pastries! Line can get long & shop is small so if you get off the ferry wait a few to get there or scurry straight there!

Decent nitro , subpar cookies and really rude service by the woman that was preparing the coffee today at 245 PM.

It's busy but we got a table for 5 immediately at 10am. The options looked great. We got gluten-free avocado toast with an egg (bland and meh, I've had better), Turkish eggs (very good), LP. Breakfast (filling and tasty), açaí bowl with berries and honey (yum), midnight cold pressed juice, lemon ginger shot, iced matcha latte (too sweet), iced saffron cardamom (too sweet), iced latte (perfect). We were happy to end our trip here. The inside is summery with low and high tables near the bar. I had to ask for my drink twice because it appears they forgot it. The staff were friendly and apologetic. Loved it overall!

Our server even gave us a complementary bottle of their house made pucker up juice. She shared why she loved it and poured us each a glass. This was such a nice touch. The juice was delicious and you could taste the fresh beet juice and ginger. The pistachio matcha I had was perfectly made. Not too dark in color and flavored nicely. I loved the soup of the day with sourdough bread made by a local Nantucket baker. The Italian wedding soup was delicious and rustic in flavor. The overall presentation leaves a strong impression. Everything was so well put together.

We ordered two chai tea lattes and a hot chocolate. Prior to ordering I was asking the young lady (I believer her name is Maria) if it was made in house or if it were from a packet. She gave me a dirty perplexed look and asked "what!?". I repeated the question and she rudely answered now. I thought it was a fair question. This isn't why the low stars though. The low stars is due to them having three registers going screaming "next" as the pile of people that already ordered were piling up on each other plus strollers and they kept taking orders while one young lady was making the coffees, teas and smoothies. I felt awful for her. There was an employee young man standing there doing nothing but screaming "next" as well. I felt so bad for the young lady trying to keep up with all of the orders. If you are the owner reading this, please train your team to stop taking orders on two of the three registers for a minute and help clean the line out of orders by helping. Besides for marketing purposes, we all know a line to your place makes people crave your place even more. Hope you are able to train on attitude, organization, and empathy for another human being that is on the team. I will say the chai tea was made well.

The menu also features breakfast and lunch sandwiches, coffee (my boyfriend is obsessed with the Mocha), and of course, the Morning Bun pastries, which are totally worth the wait as well.
