Hands down the best sandwich shop I have ever been to. For a sandwich to be made so exceptionally well you want to tell people about it is unheard of. It's a quaint little shop tucked back after you get off the ferry in Nantucket. There are a few tables inside. You order at the front and then someone will bring it to your table. They use the fresh ingredients, freshly made bread and it shows. I ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich which came with turkey and cranberry sauce and stuffing on bread. Sooo good and the portion sizes are big too.

Order was taken right away at counter. We then waited outside for food to be delivered. Looked like some seating inside but it was crazy busy and it was a nice day to sit outside. I got turkey terrific sandwich. Bread was fresh and delicious. Sandwich has dressing, turkey and cranberry jam. After a few bites the dressing was too much so I removed it. I would have preferred more jam and no dressing. Also ordered a BLT. Bacon was perfectly crisp. Lettuce and tomato were fresh. Good place to eat when on Nantucket

Provisions is the place to visit for sandwiches. There's something for everyone on the menu, and while the sandwiches are pretty basic, they're absolutely delicious. The ambiance is pretty chill and minimal thrills. There are only a few tables, so I'd suggest not expecting to sit there and maybe become pleasantly surprised. (There are lots of seats in the square and space outside.) solid sandwich place wish there were bathrooms

We visited here recently on a rainy day. It was full but we just waited a bit before we were able to get tables. The sandwiches are great and fresh. I got a turkey terrific sandwich which is one of their specialties here. It comes in Portuguese bread which just tastes like white bread to me but super fresh. It's definitely popular on the island. The turkey is a bit like deli meat style turkey and I appreciated that the cranberry sauce was not overly sweet so it made for a perfectly balance bite. I tried some other sandwiches from family members such as the curry chicken salad and the BLT and they were all good. Overall this is a good place for a quick bite but seating is limited. Counter service.

Really delicious sandwiches but like most things on this island - very overpriced for what it is! I got to try the famous Turkey Terrific, which was great but for almost $18 I'm not sure if I'd do it again. Worth the try, but maybe just once. The breakfast sandwich ($10+) can be skipped. The curried chicken salad sandwich on the other hand... tempting. I may or may not do that again for $18. For the cost it's on the smaller side and just wish it was at least a bigger portion, but they are really great sandwiches made with such fresh ingredients. Convenient location, perfect for grabbing before you hop onto the ferry, but remember to account for lines - it can get pretty busy here.

My family and I decided to visit Nantucket for a day in which we arrived in the afternoon after taking the Steamship Authority boat. We stopped at Provisions for lunch. I wasn't sure what to get, the turkey terrific was recommended by the staff. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get that because I usually don't eat stuffing in a sandwich, but usually on a just a plate once a year, haha. But I decided to get it. One bite in, and my life was changed. It was absolutely delicious!! So in short, I recommend getting that sandwich!

I don't know where they get their meat and produce from but OMG it is so fresh. Best turkey ever. I could literally eat the red onion by the handful...it's that good. I always make my own sandwich -- turkey, provolone, lettuce, onion, and chipotle mayo--- just because I like my combo so much, but I've tried their other sandwiches and they're amazing!!! And they are FAST despite the always long line. And the workers are always so nice!

PROVISIONS is conveniently located near the pier and practically in the midst of downtown. Found the most selection of Nantucket Crisps. Short line to order, and it's pretty quick. ORANGE SCONE and RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE CROISSANT are pretty good.

Got a late lunch, early dinner. Luckily before they closed. Shared a ham and cheese sandwich. Fantastic taste. Loved the Cuban mayonnaise. Quick service.

One of the best sandwiches on Nantucket. The Turkey Terrific is so famous - they even sell t-shirts about them here. A turkey terrific is on Portuguese bread, with smoked sliced turkey, stuffing, cranberry and mayo. - perfection! I don't know if this was an anomaly - but the one we ordered had WARM stuffing - which really sent it over the top. Half is really all you need - so find a friend!

Turkey Terrific, essentially Thanksgiving between two pieces of delicious bread.

Delicious sandwich, you can taste the quality ingredients. Great flavors. Quick and friendly service. Eat inside or take out for the boat. I had read about this place and indeed, a sandwich treasure trove!

So to be able to have something different was a great change of pace from just your typical sandwich. I believe my Wife got the smoked turkey sandwich, added cheese and red onion. It was good but nothing to write home about. The star of the show though was the egg salad. Best egg salad my Wife and I have ever had. If you stop in at Something Natural you have to get the egg salad. They also have an assortment of local drinks and juices to get with your food. We got a strawberry lemonade which paired well with the sandwiches and the weather. They have plenty of outdoor seating. The walk to this place was beautiful. They were even giving out free cookies. Definitely recommend!

This was just the beginning of a dining experience that included family recipes and culinary traditions. We started with a delicious roasted cauliflower dish with almonds and raisins, grilled Romaine served over beet hummus, roasted beets with feta and strawberries and their signature hummus with Persian pickles. Every dish with colorful and full of flavor. We also had Merza Ghassemi which is an incredible eggplant spread served with the most incredible Barbari bread. For our entree, we shared the Chelow kebabs. A beautiful silver platter is filled with grilled and spiced meats -chicken, beef, and lamb- and perfectly grilled vegetables. The rice was also flavored with fresh herbs. There is a spice jar on the table of sumac, a Persian staple, which was suggested to enhance the flavors of the food. Everything was delicious and served with care. The staff is eager to help us experience and explore the flavors and food combinations. For dessert, we shared the best baklava that I have ever tasted. It was so flaky and filled with honey and nuts. Lemon Press is a wonderful dinner experience and should not be missed. All their meals are fabulous but there is something unique about sitting in candlelight, enjoying a Mediterranean dining experience with your friends and family that is truly special.

Now... everything is going to cost you a pretty penny, but that's Nantucket life for you. In June, you can pick your own strawberries. They offer up breakfast sandwiches, lunch options, they even have daily dinner specials like roast turkey one night and a tri-tip another. Some items are great, somethings are ok and somethings are eh? For a one stop shop though, this place is it. A few things: I don't love the donuts, Bake Shop is way better. The lobster salad is delicious. The sammies? They're fine, Something Natural or Henry's are better options, but they suffice. The cookies are incredible. Their dips, their salads - all so good. The produce? I spend all my money on their tomatoes. Anything they grow, you should buy, anything they don't grow is way overpriced. If you have kids, they have a nice little play structure right by the picnic tables (about 6-8 picnic tables) which is fun for my 3 year old, but also my 7 year old. With that, Bartlett's is a Nantucket legend and we must all bow down to Queen B.
