And it was PACKED when I visited, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were a major letdown. I ordered the breakfast bowl, and for the price, it tasted like a pretty basic microwave meal. The eggs had that watery/sweaty texture you get from reheated food, the sausage tasted like a microwaved frozen patty, and I'm pretty sure the salsa was straight out of a Pace/Tostinos jar. Even the jalapeños were the pickled kind rather than fresh. For the price point, I expected something fresher and more thoughtfully prepared. I also ordered a shaken espresso, specifically because I wanted something coffee-forward with just a little milk. Instead, mine was overwhelmingly milky and barely tasted like espresso. Definitely not what I was hoping for. One other thing that really bothered me was the setup around the utensils -- the straws and forks were positioned right next to what appeared to be dirty/used water from the sanitation area. It just wasn't particularly appetizing or confidence-inspiring. I'm honestly surprised this place has such a strong local following because the experience just didn't live up to the hype for me. The garden is lovely and the atmosphere has potential, but at these prices, I expect significantly better food, drinks, and attention to cleanliness.

We were passing by and hadn't even committed to eating here when Mihaela, the Front of House Manager, greeted us with the most infectious, bubbly energy and convinced us to come in for dinner. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The food was amazing. The drinks were great. The service was wonderful. Ivona took great care of us, but Mihaela truly made the entire experience. Her personality is EVERYTHING -- warm, light, bubbly, hilarious, welcoming and just genuinely kind. She checked on us, made us feel completely at home, and somehow even ended up making a special playlist for us. From there, it was OVER. We were vibing, singing, eating and drinking all night. That's hospitality. There are plenty of places where you can get good food, but it's rare to encounter someone who can completely change the energy of your evening just by being herself. Mihaela did exactly that. We walked in as customers and left feeling like we'd been hanging out with friends all night. 10/10 experience. Give Mihaela a raise, a bonus, a vacation, SOMETHING. This was after being in line for probably 15 minutes. No idea what possessed me to keep waiting. None whatsoever. There weren't nearly enough people in there to warrant this time frame. After 20 minutes I realized no one was even making my food. I thought I was going to rip my own hair out. Absolutely awful. They need to get their act together and stop resting on their fudge laurels if this place is going to last.
