At first, Lodgewell were accommodating and moved us to another property while they brought in a professional cleaner. When we came back, the urine smell persisted and we still had another week at the property. Lodgewell would return our calls just to say no one was available to respond to our request. We asked for a very small reimbursement given that we literally had to sit in dog pee to watch tv, they stopped responding to us. Oh, and it was Christmas. If I wanted to sleep in dog pee I would have stayed in NYC. A cockroach also jetted out from under the couch, so literally just like home.

But I genuinely love it here. Management: The staff is amazing - it's a small crew, so you know everyone by name. The manager, Alice, is so great - efficient and professional, but treats you like a human, not a number. Maintenance is freaky fast & very responsive - I've made 2 maintenance requests so far, both were addressed within 24 hrs!! Pets: No breed restrictions, hallelujah! The grounds are well maintained, they enforce the poop scoop rules and people generally are really conscientious about it, and the grounds are really relaxing to take your dog around. Units: They have many different floorplans, and I've actually only been inside mine (The Hepburn: 1 bedroom, 600 sq ft). Even though it's a small space, I feel the space is used so much more efficiently than other 1 bedrooms (plus being cute as hell with faux shiplap, an open shelf in the kitchen, and no carpet!) The kitchen in the Hepburn has a false island (I guess more like a peninsula) that was one of the main reasons I chose to live here - actual counter space in a 1 bedroom apartment! I meal prep, so this is a necessity for me. I also love having the option of having bar stools rather than a traditional dining table. I tend not to use my dining table, but people always congregate in the kitchen when I'm entertaining, so this works out perfectly. Full size gas stove and dishwasher! The bedroom is a nice size, with an entire wall of closets (score). Wish it had one more window (maybe other floorplans do). The bathroom has tons of storage, via some cabinets, and a built in sink/dresser with big deep drawers that come with dividers. Great water pressure in the shower. Love the deep covered porch - I'm on the 1st floor so I have a paved patio with a ceiling, as well as a little gravel area covered by a striped awning. It's lovely outdoor space for a 1 bedroom apt. Complex: Besides the amazing location (So many restaurants!! Close to Hyde Park, the Triangle, and Burnet) I really love that this place has character. It doesn't feel like one of those super sterile luxury apartments - you know the ones - all new everything, but so god awfully boring. It's nice enough to feel stylish and comfortable, without compromising character. And it doesn't seem like just a collection of buildings plopped on top of a parking lot (ew). The courtyard design makes it feel very cozy, like a quiet little oasis in the middle of the city. This was a big draw for me, because I feel comfortable letting my kitty outside for adventures - and I actually enjoy hanging out outside in my complex! It's an older complex that's been updated, and they did a great job - I love the little design touches everywhere. The two pools are both beautiful (and somehow never busy?!) with slightly different vibes, and the landscaping is lovely as well. Plus covered cabanas at one of the pools, an outdoor fireplace sitting area, grills, and an outdoor kitchen complete with propane stove and bar area - so awesome for entertaining! And great trees - including lots of pecans :) My only complaints (and they are minor): - It takes a minute for the shower to get hot, and sometimes the kitchen sink never seems to get hot, which can make cleaning oily/greasy dishes difficult. However, we mentioned this to Jose (maintenance) today, and he said he'd adjust the water heater for us - so this may be fixed! - The washers in the laundry room closest to the leasing office can be fickle, and likely need to be replaced soon. I've seen more than one stop mid-load, full of water, and of course your quarters don't get returned. Sad face. - The gym is pretty useless to me- it has only an elliptical, a treadmill, and a set of dumbbells that only goes to 30lbs. But there are tons of gyms nearby so not a big deal. Overall I think this place is really well run and a great value for the money!

Current resident here. In summary: they're renovating all move-outs right now in order to bump up…read moreapartment prices. In doing so, they've completely disregarded current residents. You'll experience water shutoffs at least once a week, rude contractors (my car was hit by them, thank goodness I was able to prove it), theft in the parking lots, plumbing that does not function, and more! I've been unable to work from home on several occasions due to the noise. I loved living here when I first moved, but the constant "upgrades" have completely impacted my quality of life. Contractors work outside of 9-5 hours. There have been no concessions made to current residents to offset the constant disruptions. I wish I could afford the fee to break my lease because I cannot wait to get out of here.

Wow. WOW! I found this gem of a venue through countless countless searches of a "garden" wedding on…read moregoogle. I looked everywhere, Costa Rica, Mexico, California, Italy!! This place beats everything that I saw, and when I saw the pictures I just fell in love and needed to have our wedding here! (FYI, if you think the pictures are great, the gardens are actually even better in person!) We got married on Oct. 27th 2018, and had the most amazing time at Jennifer's Garden. We stayed at the Inn for three nights, and in Austin for 4 nights. Literally about a 12 minute drive from downtown Austin, it is in a GREAT location and a GREAT neighborhood. The venue itself is not for larger groups...we only had 31 guests attend and it was the perfect size for our group. Everyone was amazed at the gardens and it's beauties!! The guests loved walking around and exploring the grounds. The venue is versatile enough were we had our ceremony in one spot, our cocktail hour in another spot and dinner in another spot! It was truly a dream wedding, and thank you to FRED and JENNIFER who were absolutely amazing at making our dream wedding come true! The venue also worked great for our caterer who worked in the side veranda and was not seen by our guests, so we had the whole kitchen to ourselves (not like we used it on the day of the wedding), but it was still nice to not have the Inn crowded with waiters. BRIDES BEWARE: Do NOT book your small wedding here without knowing all the details and weighing the…read morepros and cons. In the end, the nitty gritty of the details of our experience are not important to understand, so I will summarize the biggest cons in bullet points. CONS: *This property IS NOT MAINTAINED AT ALL!! NO LANDSCAPING SERVICES are provided and the Peerspace property manager is NOT forthcoming about this to bookings. We toured and saw old dog poop EVERYWHERE, wildly overgrown beds of plants, dead plants in planters, random furniture in stacks much too heavy to move on our day. You will have to find time outside of Peerspaces with the owner to landscape the venue yourself if you want it to look even remotely decent. SPEAKING OF THAT: *Your booking does not include setup and breakdown time and if you arrive even 30 minutes early (even with inclement weather conditions and having to hire a company to come set up a tent last minute), you will be hounded by the venue owner about overtime fees ON THE DAY OF YOUR WEDDING. *The booking manager will take back promises she made to you about things you are permitted to do to clean up the space. We asked permission (AS A CONDITION WHEN WE BOOKED) to landscape the property the week of. We asked (after landscaping) if we could come a little early to move some furniture since there is a ton of heavy, POORLY MAINTAINED, furniture in the garden area (where one might set up tables), and were told yes, then begrudgingly yes, then no, THEN "no and if you try we'll charge you money". After being met with an INCREDIBLY rude response when trying to explain why we wanted the extra time, we agreed to try to do our moving as quickly as possible (an hour before, and an hour after booking time) so we could be out of their hair with as little trouble as possible. NO ONE was booked before or after us, which the manager had stated, factually. Then, when the people DID show up an hour early to move the furniture, the host was sending us extremely rude & hostile messages on the day, switching up and saying she "never agreed to let us move x furniture" (not true) and would be charging overtime fees (higher than hourly rate) for every minute spent on the property after our booking (after agreeing to let us move the furniture back). All of this was documented clearly in email correspondence. In the end, after sending an assertive message about how disrespectfully we had been treated, the host seemingly realized she was wrong and had blown the whole thing out of proportion, so we were not charged. But JUST KNOW you cannot ask for ANY accommodations or they may be ripped away from you at the literal last second. Our wedding felt rushed and unfinished because there was no flexibility at all about our booking time. We were treated like scammers trying to sneak in extra time, when we were just attempting to do what needed to be done to make the POORLY MAINTAINED space work for a full (albeit, small) wedding. The venue is owned by a lovely older couple, and their daughter is the property manager. Her own mother warned us she could be "a little cuckoo", we didn't know what that meant until it happened to us. PROS: It is gorgeous. It is a stunning venue with running water as a backdrop, a beautiful lush garden (gorgeous with a little landscaping), and a lovely interior with a full kitchen. I would absolutely rent the space for a party, a meeting, or photography (if you can get time to clear the literal poop). Otherwise: I would NEVER ever recommend anyone have their wedding here.

If it wasn't for Jake, I wouldn't have been able to find a listing that is better suited to my needs in Scottsdale. I closed on my new home on November 1 and I am so ecstatic to call myself a "homeowner." For anything a little further out, grabbing an Uber was quick and easy. I have to give a huge shoutout to Nelva (sp?) at the front desk. She was exceptional. She went above and beyond to help separate my bill, made sure I was able to keep the same room when I extended my stay, and always had a smile on her face. That kind of attentiveness does not go unnoticed and it really set the tone for my entire visit. My room was a nice surprise. It came with a balcony, a living space and a small kitchen with a sink, microwave and fridge, which honestly made the extended stay so much more comfortable. The view from my room was great too. The pool was small but perfect. It was only three and a half feet deep which was all I needed to cool off and unwind. The deck area was beautiful as well. I did not get to use it this trip but it would be a great spot with a small group. Breakfast had solid variety, which you do not always get with a hotel stay, and it had everything I needed to start my mornings right. Overall a really great stay from start to finish. Nelva alone is reason enough to come back. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a great location- we walked to dinner Friday night, the next day after bfast (which was actually a better complimentary bfast!!) we walked around and went to the Blanton Museum, and then to lunch at the Texas Chili Parlor. The integrity of the housekeeping, and front desk won me over the top. I had forgotten my ring in the hotel & didn't realize until I got home. (Grr!) I immediately called the hotel and asked if housekeeping had found/turned it in. THEY DID. The front desk offered to mail it to me, but I figured it would be best to go up & get it, rather than risk the mail, etc. I drove back up on Monday and picked it up. A very kind front desk employee had it & returned it to me. Im very thankful!! I need to be up in ATX later this month, and already booked my stay with this Hampton.
