Yum yum YUM! Great service, stellar food. We had the mandoo, pork cutlet and pork belly BBQ with 3 sides - kimchi, radish and zucchini. The crunch on the cutlet was yummy and it is on top of a bed of rice with egg and some type of mayo which was rich and paired well with the rest of the dish. The "secret sauce" we used for dipping the mandoo in was amazing. I would take that stuff home if they sold bottles if it. Can't wait to return and try their ramen!! read more

This a Korean pub, with simply outstanding food. I found it via Yelp, and talked my wife into checking it out. We'd just arrived in Chattanooga after a long drive from Indiana, and she wanted to settle for the Cracker Barrel across the street from the hotel. Thankfully I talked her out of it, and we drove 12 minutes to this place. First rate Galbi and Bulgolgi. The pork belly wraps are excellent. We got two types of Kim chee for the sides--superb. Then we finished it off with banana pudding. A heck of a lot better than a chain restaurant! read more

I was visiting from Atlanta and didn't expect to find quality Korean food in Chattanooga, but Han-Mi was a pleasant surprise. Off the bat do not expect a traditional Korean setting, but rather a fusion dining experience. What I enjoyed the most was the meats offered at Han-Mi. The bulgogi was amazing, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Han-Mi. Alongside that, the bibimbap was also amazing. I would definitely return! read more

Food is always great, servers are helpful and nice, bar is cool and drink menu is fun. Also if you don't feel like spending much. You can't beat this $6 Ramen read more

Han-Mi - Korean Piña Colada, looks just like the Soju Cocktail which is also delicious. - Korean Near Me - Chattanooga, Tennessee

Han Mi is definitely a fusion Korean food place, almost too fusion. I've been to dozens of Korean restaurants and this was the first that didn't offer banchan with the meal. The service was ok and the waitress was helpful, no real problems there. I was just not a fan of the food. The ttekbokki was fair but the flavor wasn't there. I expected egg and ramen or glass noodles like every other place I've been to but it was absent in theirs. The bibimbap was fair as well, same issues with the seasonings and ingredients, it wasn't very authentic. The Rabokki didn't have an egg on it and again, not very authentic if that's what you are looking for. It was a bit off putting when someone came out and started painting the walls while we were eating. That's just not right. On top of all that, the food was pretty expensive. I'm being generous with the 3 stars. read more

HOLY MOLY! This place is unbelievable! I don't know where to start! Jenny was our server and she was awesome! She gave us the best recommendations and nothing disappointed. First off, they had a great grassy outdoor area for our two year old. Next, we got the dumplings and my wife and I both went on and on about how they are by far the best we have either ever had!!! For our main round, we shared the Korean fried chicken, the pork cutlet, and the bibimbap, along with some pork belly a la carte and some cucumber kimchi. This might have been my favorite meal I've ever eaten. I'm absolutely serious! This is the SPOT! The chicken was so flavorful, while being juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Unreal! The pork cutlet was out of this world, with the garlic Mayo, egg, and massive tender cutlet! The bibimbap was very authentic! I've eaten a lot of Korean food, and this was the best, most authentic spot I've been to. Hands down the best Asian food in Chattanooga! I would rate 100 stars if I could!! read more

Absolutely fabulous meal! I ate out in the patio and the server brought a dog bowl with ice water in it for my pup. While I was waiting for my meal someone went out to the garden in the corner and picked some veggies that were served with our meal. The food was incredible: I got the poke bowl, my son had the bulgogi wrap, one of my daughters had the cold noodle soup and another daughter had the Korean fried chicken. I tasted all of them and they were all fantastic. read more

The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back to try even more dishes. The fried chicken was very tasty and comes in different sauces. We want to try some others. We enjoyed the ramen as well. read more

An exceptional place for lunch and dinner, the best Korean food this side of Duluth. The dishes are plentiful and tasty. DO NOT DOUBT THE WARNING ABOUT SPICE. The spicy dishes and sauces are sinus-popping and complex. I would recommend the sauce called "Mongolian Eradicator" on your fried chicken. Make sure you have enough beer to put out the fire afterwards. Parking could be a bit tight, the menu was a bit unclear, and the ambiance could use a sense of direction or uniform theme. However I recommend this restaurant without a doubt. read more

Good service, not too effusive (which I appreciate), laid back vibe, and good food. The mandoo appetizer is delicious and so fresh tasting, definitely a hit for us. I ordered the Korean tea (soju and Jasmine syrup) and it felt like I was being fancy, drinking tea but sneaking liquor in it. The spicy ramyun is a good sized portion and flavored nicely, like the Dak malbi (marinated chicken, rice and veggies). We hoped to have the Korean BBQ this second visit but the weather didn't cooperate so the kitchen prepared the pork belly. The variety of kimchis are super yummy and crispy. Folks should come and give this place a try. read more

While on the hunt for Korean food, I stumbled on Han-Mi's yelp listing and figured we'd give it a shot... what a find!! I'm sad to took us so long to discover this place, but in one visit it ranks up in our top 3 in Chattanooga. The food is phenomenal and authentic flavors. The restaurant is quaint and the staff is friendly. I loved that the menu was short & sweet. We had pork belly wraps to start, and pork cutlet and bibimbap for main course! Bangers!! Never skip out on the banana pudding (remembered to snap a photo AFTER the bowl was cleared out) -- this place gives every southern restaurant a run for its money when it comes to banana pudding. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu!! read more

I stopped here at the midway point of my hart county KY to hart county GA trip. It's a tiny little place, with a cute store front but not down town or anywhere fancy. Upon entering I was met with kindness, and amazing smells and flavors. I accidentally used a touch more spicy sauce on my rice bowl than my sad mayosaipan taste buds enjoy but it was still. SO. Good. Would 100% visit again if it was a bit closer than nearly 4 hours from home. This place is a must stop! read more

Very Very Amazing! Top notch Korean food with the atmosphere of a old school American diner. Just happened to passing through town and saw what looked like a slightly run down diner with an Asian name. I turned around because I saw so many cars in the parking lot. Must be there for for a reason. Yes!! Even though it was crowded I got my food very fast. Very fast. And it was top notch. Seriously! The clientele and staff were a mixture of Koreans and friendly locals. The rice was exceptional. Apparently maid daily by the owners mother. It is world class quality. I don't want to bore anyone with a long review. But if you live in or are visiting Chattanooga., visit the city's best restaurant. This food will make you happy! read more

The place looks deceiving from the outside but the food and service was excellent! Absolutely loved everything. Husband got the chicken and soup extra spicy and it didn't disappoint. I really like this place. The food is always delicious and the people have been friendly each time. My only issue is that the menu seems to change and it not advertised online. I had called in a take out order and asked for the Tofu stew, wanting the same thing I had gotten previously and received another version. Still really good but it wasn't what I wanted. read more

Do not wait and please order the Korean fried chicken, it's so good and quite large! The Mandoos were real tasty and had great texture. Also got a side of radish kimchi and it had such a good bit of heat with a nice crunch. Very delicious Korean food is now available in the Chattanooga area I have been multiple times on my own and with friends and collectively we have tried their - Korean pork belly wraps - bibimbap - collar bowl - Korean bbq with short ribs and bulgogi - hite (very light Korean beer- 54 oz) - braised tofu Hands down my favorite is the Korean pork belly lettuce wraps . The charcoal they cook it on along with the flavors, and the slaw is to die for. This is a go to appetizer every time I am here. All the other dishes are wonderful, beautifully cooked and flavorful. Seriously, you need to come try this place. If you have Korean bbq the original way where you cook it yourself, you'll have to sit outside on the patio, otherwise they cook it for you based on meat and how many oz you order :) Great and attentive service, yummy authentic food! A must try when you're in Chattanooga. read more

VERY good food. Tteok bokki was slightly spicy and the Korean fried chicken was delicious with the spicy sauce, although not actually spicy, more tangy. My only gripe is that I placed a takeout order and waited 20 minutes like they said but then once I got in there and told them my order name, it took 45 minutes to come out. The woman apologized and I wasn't in a hurry and I don't think that's normal, just happened to me that time. My friend had stir fry noodles which were also tasty. I will go back when the craving kicks in. It's a smaller place and was definitely crowded but no one had to wait for a table on a Friday night read more

The food is fantastic! We had the pork belly lettuce wraps and the braised tofu to go along with the dishes pictured. Everything was perfectly cooked with incredible flavors and an ideal amount of Korean heat. They offer four spice levels on the chicken; a two is pictured, but I got the Mongolian--3--and it was wonderfully hot but bearable. The Bubbas are not shy with criticism, but they loved the bulgogi and the chicken! So good we'll find our way to the Southside on the regular! read more

So much husband and I were split on this one. He did the spicy Ramen with kitchen and pork belly. He added sides of radish, kimchee and zucchini. The Ramen was fabulous although it is spicy and the kitchen added to the spice level. Kitchen was good but the other sides were just okay. I did the bibimbap. It was lacking in rice and I just wasn't that fond of the flavor. It came with spicy sauce on the side but it just wasn't my thing. Service was good, very casual. Menu was limited. I would have loved more Ramen options. I just can't do the spicy. read more

Han-mi is consistent. The food is always hot and excellent. The Service is always friendly and does Not take forever. We really enjoy their food, some is spicy and some is not. The sauces are great. There is nothing negative to say about them on any of our visits. Even the bathrooms are clean and they have a patio if you are into that kind of thing. (Pet-friendly patio, at that). Check them out and you will not regret it. If you are not sure you will like Korean, order the pork cutlet or the meatloaf. If you want to ease into Korean flavors, try the bibimbap bowl. The Kim chi is very nice. read more

Hubby and I were not impressed overall. The guy that served us may be the owner, not sure. But he gave us the feeling that he did not want us there. There was no greeting, no smile, no expression. He just walked over to our table with his writing pad and stood there. Really weird attitude. We should have trusted our instinct when the menu says "Korean foods with an American twist". Chicken ramen was pretty good. The broth is flavorful. Kimchi soup was pretty good too. A bit salty but it was ok. Korean Fried Chicken - we like spicy foods. The menu did say that their spiciness is no joke. But we asked the server how spicy it really is and what he would recommend us to try, he gave us that blank look like we asked a stupid question. We followed what we normally did at other restaurants and ordered the equivalent of level 4 (out of 5). We couldn't eat it. It wasn't the mouth, it was the stomach that hurt. But I guess this one is on us that ordered the wrong thing. Bulgogi - the taste of this dish is absolutely ridiculous. It was so stupid sweet that we can't just eat it by itself. We had to eat each bite with some kimchi to wash out the sugary taste. Yes, I understood bulgogi is a little bit sweet but not THAT sweet. So all in all, we will not go back. I can see how some people will think that their foods are flavorful. All the dishes have "strong" flavor, just that the flavor may not be the right or good one. read more
