Above average for a Hampton Inn: - spacious rooms and bathrooms - showerhead with decent water pressure - great continental breakfast with two kinds of eggs, sausage, and waffle makers in addition to the usual I came here for a wedding with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. read more

STAY AWAY! What a dump! I have traveled all over the United States, Europe, and Asia, and this was one of the worst properties I've been to in a long time - probably ever. I booked this place for a business trip, and was beyond disappointed. The staff was rude, my room was dirty, and -- get this -- I found bed bugs! I had never even seen a bed bug previously, and had to look it up on Google. Not to state the obvious, but I left as soon as possible and found a proper (and clean) hotel in the nearby area. I know this sounds like a rant. I'm not one of these picky people who expect perfection. I just wanted a decent, clean room and to be treated reasonably politely. Reserve at your own risk. read more

The staff were so accommodating and nice and I was able to do late check outs! Laundry was clean and affordable, Bedrooms were cold! Showers were hot and water pressure was great! Beds were clean and comfy! TV was perfect size. Breakfast was different every day! Coffee was soooo good! It was an amazing stay and I plan on staying again! I stayed a total of 7 nights a little spread out due to price. It is a little pricey but that's what you get for great service!! 10/10 read more

Worst hotel in the world. Blood on the sheets and blankets, fly infested room, extremely rude staff. The only reason I gave them one star was to warn you to stay far away from this absolutely terrible hotel. Stay anywhere but here. Expensive and a huge waste of money. read more

I stayed here so I could go across the street to gamble at the Oxford casino. My check in experience was good and got to check in early. I didn't get the freebies I was supposed to get as a gold member of Hilton Honors program but I also didn't ask for it. I did get some coffee from the lobby which was good but I would have preferred dark roast but it was free so I didn't complain. My room was on the 4th floor and I had some interaction with the housekeeping staff and they were very friendly as was the check in counter guy. The room was little dated and there was a funny smell of lysol or some kind of cleaning solution that never went away. The beds were comfortable and shower and bathroom was good as well. Besides the funny smell, the room was very clean. I had a perfect view up the entrance to the hotel which was weird and there was a little road noise. Luckily, I'm a deep sleeper so it didn't bother me. Overall, was a nice overnight stay and would be okay coming back again. The had free breakfast from 6am-10am on the 2nd floor and it was forgettable but it was free and It was a good start to keep me satiated till later in the day. Coffee and juice was good. read more

Stayed here for a friend's wedding last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and spacious (and they even moved me from the first floor to the second after we checked in - first floor abuts the parking lot and I did not love that!) They have a small gym but it has treadmills and a Peloton. Breakfast every morning - the waffle station was good! Not too much in this area but the casino across the street was a fun place to go on a Friday night. read more

Bugs bugs bugs bugs. If it had been lizards or snakes I could handle it but the ceiling was filled with bugs. All they did was hand my husband a broom. Great now we have bugs flying around the room. 10:30 at night no other rooms available Now that he has hopefully dispatched the bugs I guess we get to wash the sheets and scrub the bathtub since this seems to be a "clean your own room" hotel read more

I found rotten food in our closet!! YEP ROTTEN FOOD!! My boyfriend and I were staying at the hotel for a wedding this past weekend. The second I walked into our room I knew something was off. I went to hang our clothes up in the closet and noticed the smell. I look up and found a bag of rotten fish and a tray full of rotten food. I went down to the front desk to see what they could do and the woman working the desk gave me a trash bag and told me to " put it in the bag and leave it outside your room". They couldn't move us since the were fully booked however they did not offer anything else and I'm sorry but when I'm paying $400 and I find rotten food in my room that's not cool. We also found a leftover breakfast tray of warm cream cheese and syrup in the drawers and a black powder in the bathroom by the towels. Besides that our stay way fine however I would recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!! read more

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Oxford Maine. In the past year alone, I have stayed at this hotel at least 9 times. I stay there because the staff has always been friendly, the hotel has been clean and management very accommodating. I don't know if in the last 4-6 months they have changed management but the hotel has definitely changed for the worse. In December 2023, my fiance and I witnessed an older male sleeping in the dining area with his shoes off. I brought it to the attention of staff/management and was dismissed. I contacted Hilton and was referred back to the management at the hotel in Oxford. Again no remediation and just excuses. I decided to give the hotel another chance. We stayed at the hotel in February 2023. Nothing remarkable to note. Fast forward to March 2023. I reserved a room on the 5th floor. I noticed that the room was changed. I contacted the hotel and spoke with staff. I was informed that "management" changed it. When I asked the reason I was informed that there were "numerous" noise complaints. I explained that no one had ever said or addressed this with us. I was told someone called our room. I asked why no one called my cell, knocked on the door or addressed it with us at check in. I was told I could either keep my room or cancel our stay. I ask to speak with a manager and was informed one was not present and wouldn't be until later in the day. As it was already planned, we decided to continue with our getaway. We arrived late at night so again, no management available. The next morning I spoke with management, Erin, who stated that they are not "obligated" to keep our choice of room. I was informed that there were numerous noise complaints about me and my fiancee as well as our pets. Again, why did no one call me on my cell. Erin informed me that someone called my room and maybe we were sleeping. Well if we were sleeping, how could we be making noise? Erin also mentioned our complaint from when the gentleman was sleeping in the dining area. She claimed he fell asleep while on the phone, I mentioned he had no shoes on where people eat. Erin claimed that guests frequently walk about without their shoes on. I cannot enter an eating establishment without my shoes because that is a health violation, clearly not at this hotel. Erin then informed me that after we checked out the next morning we should not come back. Wow! Her demeanor felt threatening and she refused to tell me the dates and times of the complaints. Had it not been snowing, we would have left and found different accommodations. We felt like we were walking on eggshells during our entire stay. During our stay, Erin gave my fiancée and I dirty looks each time we were in the lobby and made it feel very hostile. While having breakfast, we witnessed at least two people with their dogs in the food area. I'm sure this is not up to health codes as one gentleman was getting his food, with his dog in his arms, right next to the eggs. The garbages on the first floor were overflowing. The overall condition of the hotel is deteriorating to say the least. I feel as though my fiancée and I were being targeted, retaliated and discriminated against because we tried to address a concern during our stay in December. Throughout the hotel there are signs that intimate that "making you happy" is their motto, that if you are not "happy" your "satisfaction is guaranteed." Clearly not! I stay at Hilton for the exceptional quality of the rooms and staff. The Hampton inn in Oxford Maine is definitely not an example of this standard. I am a Hilton diamond member and stay at the properties often. I am seriously considering canceling my account as well as taking legal recourse. I will inform all my friends and family of this terrible treatment. read more

Stayed here for a wedding in western Maine. Food was meh. The bar? Don't even bother. Casino bar closed at midnight. Who knew. Came back to the hotel. Bar isn't even open. The state closes at 1. Might as well have been. A dry town. What a disappointment read more

Terrible customer service. Very rude and inflexible when early checkin was requested. Another customer started an argument with me while I was talking to the hotel desk clerk. Checked in to my room only to find a disgusting sight The bed looked slept in, dirty Sox and a condom on a/c unit Long underwear on top of towels Loofa pad, used soap and shampoo in tub When I complained I was moved to a different room That night I had to call the front fest 3 times due to party in room above me In morning when at front desk I was told " if I don't like it to check out ! Are you kidding me ? Then was told the dirty room was MY fault because they checked me into it 10 minutes early ! For $200 per night I get abused like this !! I did check out and directly contacted corporate and have had no reply They have a casino across the street and obviously have lots of customers so they take guests for granted I will NEVER stay at ANY Hampton Inn again after the mistreatment I endured read more

Over all nice hotel friendly staff, was a little disappointed the pool was closed for maintenance, didn't know that when I booked the room. Breakfast was fine its a typical hotel buffet kinda thing. I will stay again when traveling that way. read more

Nice clean hotel, kids enjoyed the pool. Typical breakfast options. Front desk was informative.

This place charges you as if their amenities actually existed. The pool is NEVER open, nor the jacuzzi, but they charge you as if they are. Their breakfast is limited to a continental but they charge you as if you are having a real breakfast. I paid for a pet friendly room that smelled like it! They will charge you if you get there and do not want to stay there! If you have a choice, stay across the street at the Casino, it is so much better and may even cost you less! read more

What a wonderful concept, a hotel right across the street from the casino with free shuttle service to the casino! If you don't want to pay the prices of staying in the casino hotel, the Hampton Inn Oxford is a wonderful option for you! Super affordable, clean well organized and uncluttered rooms with lots of different seating options within the room (bed, desk chair, bench, and chaise lounge in each room!). The sheets were always clean, toiletries replenished, and rooms were extremely clean...almost made me think no one had stayed in the room before because my room was pristine! They have a gym and a pool on site, and while they don't have room service, they do have a variety of snacks for purchase at the front desk, a restaurant within the building, and FREE BREAKFAST DAILY FROM 6AM-10AM! And I'm not talking about continental breakfast type things like danish and cereal, I'm talking omelets, scrambled eggs, ham, breakfast sausage, make your own waffle station, various juices, oatmeal, and coffee in addition to the yogurt, cereal, bagel, danish fair you usually see at most places. I will definitely stay here again, no complaints from this happy customer! read more

Pool is clean, warm and fun! Staff is friendly, rooms are very nice and clean. Will definitely stay again.

The good: The room was great. The bathroom was large and shower had nice glass doors. Didn't have any issues with the cable TV like a few others mentioned. Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and helpful. The bad: Only 2 towels for the both of us. Would've been really nice to have a few extra. The breakfast was a joke. I don't think they should advertise "free breakfast" if is going to be a paper bag with an apple and cheap granola bar. I've been to many hotels all across the country and never had a complimentary breakfast that had no hot food. I'm guessing it's because of COVID, and if so they need to say they are temporarily not serving breakfast, rather than giving us that bs. Going to have to go out for breakfast now! read more

Recently stayed here for a wedding with my partner, had a billing issue with a additional charge. Called asking to be called back for the manager, never received a call back, had to keep calling and leaving messages to get a explanation of the additional charge which was never credited back. Room had a weird stale air smell to it when we checked in ended up having to turn the Air conditioner on to try and get fresh air. The staff(Alex, Jessica, and Erin) were all very friendly and extremely polite while trying to dispute the charge on my bill. When I did finally get the manager on the phone she refused to even have a discussion about my issue constantly talking over me stating too bad she won't be crediting back the charge. read more

Very kind and professional staff. Free shuttle to Oxford Casino is a plus, especially for my wheelchair. Immaculate, well appointed room. No issues with handicap accessibility. Great complimentary breakfast with a range of unusually good choices (fresh, tasty) than similar motels. Smoke free facility smells wonderful throughout. Best night's sleep I've experienced in a hotel In many years. This was our first stay at this particular Hampton Inn; it will not be our last. read more

Terrible customer service!!! Erin Joyce is the manager there and terrible to work with. We blocked off rooms back in the spring and was told by Fred Dole (Erins boss) that we're all set to have 12 rooms reserved for them to just give our rooms away weeks before. Fred did actually admit to dropping the ball. When asked who is boss was he seemed to forget his name and actually eventually made up a name. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST GO TO THE MARIOT IN ABURN ITS 10 mins away and I ended up here after and the rooms 11/10. This Hilton has very spotty employment and managers. Seeing in a platinum Hilton member I thought I would get atleast a little help/ respect. I asked for basic hotel arrangements and they booked me over the phone on the wrong day, which was realized when I got their and then they proceeded to expected ME to pay for another night without refund of THEIR mishap (along with a very rude tone from the lady behind the counter.) I ended up walking out and petting them keep my money (not worth having to deal with their employees honestly) and driving down to the mariot in auburn (like 12 mins away) were they helped us make some last minute reservations for us and now seeing the room I'm actually happy we didn't stay at the Hampton inn. NOT IMPRESSED HAMPTON!!! read more

I woke up covered in bedbugs. I am a Diamond customer with Hiltons. They did not offer me another room. I asked them to make a reservation across the street at the casino because it was midnight and I had to pack up my groceries so I could check out. They didnt. They didnt offer to price match a different hotel. Also, no cell phone reception for me there. There is a reason that this hotel is 40$ a night cheaper than everywhere else in the area. The manager also yelled and consistantly spoke over me when I called her back the next day. I will post a pic of the bug with the room phone with the address. read more
