Not the Hotel's fault, but another male guest followed me from the parking lot as i was unloading my car and then was loitering around the small lobby while i was checking in. Then was walking to close behind me as i was headed to my room. Had the family across from my room not come out of their room as i was deciding on what to do. I probably would have walked back out to the desk and checked back out. I locked myself in my room with a llight on and left first thing in the morning.

The price is outrageous per night. They are pet friendly, which is wonderful. It is $30 a night for your dog. But I want to say more than a few nights. They do have extended stay availability. But the cost is high. Everything is good at first. But then they start fishing for reasons to get into your room. Accusing you of smoking in your room. Cussing your dog of urinating in the room. Even when you know, your dog is completely how trained. They start threatening you. The owner called me a mother F***** when I asked what happened to one of my dogs toys that happen to be left outside. All the hotel staff are terrified of dogs for them being foreigners. So what makes the entire stand uncomfortable. And if you stay long enough and don't require much housekeeping to maintain your room. They will literally find reasons to accuse you of things to get into your room. Just to see "what's going on in your room. all know it's not a terrible place. The rooms are clean. Just don't stay long because the expense amount of money you sell out per night plus a dog fee, getting accused of things that you didn't do. When you see people smoking crack in the parking lot. Especially when there's no business going on in the winter. They should be a lot nicer to the people that don't do anything wrong and keep to themselves for some of the riffraff that they have coming out of this place. They'll come knocking at your door telling you they're forcing you to leave your room for "house keeping" because hotel staff is afraid of dogs even if you have the privacy hanger on your door. Not to mention the owner has a 4 yr old daughter. They clearly have a living space behind the front desk. Well the little girl will go out of the room and scream and cry down the hallway at all hours of the day 11pm 6am:.. doesn't matter. I work late nights so 6 am crying when you don't have a kid disturbs your sleep. I've watched them too all they do is walk slowly behind her and she throws a tantrum down the hallway. So if you're gonna stay I suggest ask for the 2nd floor. And it's a franchise so they like to play god because you can't call corporate. And the girl at the front desk will straight up lie to you. Just be SURE to STAY away from this hotel

We are staying here for…read moretwo reasons: its free dog policy, and the central location between Portland and Bangor, the two places we are visiting here this week. But there is a balloon festival this weekend, so we are just staying two nights for now. It has an odd but not unpleasant setup. We are on the first floor. We have a sliding glass outer door very convenient to our vehicle parked just outside. Our normal inner hallway door is across from the registration office and right next to the laundry room where the ice machine and handy microwave are also located. The furnishings are stripped down, kind of funny so I took pictures. The "closet" is a high up shelf with a few hangers in it, the tv stand is a single shelf under a wall bracket. A bookshelf is the bureau. A tiny and low center shelf that is attached to the beds, holds the phone, no clock. I am not complaining about all that - it is Motel 6 after all. The price seems high for a budget place, but we are up north. This same room would be around $45 down south. It is not without issues, however. The toilet doesn't flush well at all and the secondary door frame lock on the inner door is broken. And of course, the walls are as thin as you would expect them to be. Oh, and on a side note, if you look at Google Maps and see a hiking trail around the corner at the Ramada Trailhead, don't believe it. It is mostly a snowmobile trail. It is physically possible to hike it, but the weeds are allowed to grow tall and one look at it suggested to us that it must be Tick Central. On the plus side, the A/C is quiet and the bathroom roomy with a shower that worked, so that is good. We always carry a bathroom bag, and that is helpful, for they offer tiny bars of soap but no shampoo.

My gripe is that it's hard to find. There's a sign on I-95 that only lists the Ramada for exit 80 when in fact there are several hotels here. This may not be Motel 6's fault, but it made my life harder since if you drive past that highway exit you're going 7 more miles before you can turn around, total 14 miles wasted. And there is no tall Motel 6 sign visible from the highway. Even after you exit you can't see the hotel. The sign is so short you have to be right in front of the hotel before you can see it.

It had two sitting areas, both with stunning views of the lake, a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub. It was a very peaceful and romantic setting. We Also booked an hour in their oasis sauna which is located outside with a large window facing the lake. After sitting in the sauna for 15 to 20 minutes, we stepped outside into 17° winter weather and it was amazing! The staff and the owners, Nicole and Geoff, were all very friendly and accommodating. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast in the dining room. It was a very relaxing getaway, and we highly recommend the Wolf Cove Inn.

Nicole and Geoff have a beautiful inn and were so accommodating to our small wedding. The food is something I really want to highlight, the complimentary breakfasts were so tasty, and everyone loved them. We did a lobster bake for our rehearsal dinner and for the night of the wedding the Microwedding package we had purchased included a coursed dinner. Both meals absolutely blew us and our guests away. Our group's favorites were the seasonal creamed spinach, the hot honey burrata salad, and the filet mignon. We tend to be a little particular about food and the meals could not have been better. If you are debating having any kind of wedding at wolf cove or even just a romantic weekend away I would not hesitate to book here! Thank you to the Wolf Cove Inn team for making our wedding weekend so seamless and beautiful!
