We arrived around 1:30 and were able to check in without a problem even though check in isn't until after three. The young lady was very friendly. She offered us coupons for shopping and for dinner. She gave us a card in case we needed anything as the office hours were limited this time of year. The cottages are actually road side cottages built in the 1920's. our cottage was one of the bigger ones, with two floors. There was a kitchenette, a bathroom and a living room with fireplace on the first floor. There's a stair case that leads to the second floor and two bedroom, a king size bed in one, and two twin size beds in the other. There was also a fold out cot in the closet. there was a pool (obviously closed down and a play ground for the kids. Baby B would have had a blast had we brought her with. Can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer!

He quickly shared a wealth of information about staying at the motel, and even offered us a discount coupon for breakfast at a local restaurant. Our room faced the main street, but was relatively quiet. The room was very clean, nicely maintained, and the furnishings were classic. While there was no formal desk in our room, one of the nightstands was large enough to set up a laptop for my work. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was high quality and immaculate. The pillows varied, offering something to please everyone, whether you like a firm or soft/comfy pillow. The shower was the only reason I'm giving this motel four stars, in its price category. The water seemed to cycle from lukewarm to perfectly hot to scalding, repeatedly. After three rapid cycles of this, I gave up on getting a good shower. However, the towels were among the most luxurious I've seen at any hotel, even high-end resorts. One of the high points of this motel is the view from the rear-facing windows (there were two in our room). It is magnificent. We'd stay here again, and hope the shower/hot water situation is resolved by then. For the price, this motel is an exceptionally good value, and management went above and beyond to be helpful and welcoming.

The staff gave us directions to the back of the motel to find our numbered parking spot, which was right by our room. It was so convenient for unloading our car and getting inside quickly, especially with the rain. The room was clean, cozy, and just what we needed for a couple of nights. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the pillows were the same. The room stayed warm, and the waffle blanket was just the right weight. There were a couple of armchairs, a desk, a set of drawers, a mini fridge, microwave, nightstand, alarm clock, and a large flat-screen TV. I had to mess with the settings a bit to adjust the brightness (someone had turned it all the way down), but once we figured it out, we were able to enjoy Raiders of the Lost Ark. :) The bathroom was very clean, and although there was a jetted tub, we didn't use it. The hot water came on quickly, which was a welcome relief after a day on the slopes. The location is convenient too, right on the main road through Conway, with a short drive to the outlets and downtown. There's outdoor seating just outside the room and a pool in the back for the warmer months. Overall, you really can't go wrong with this place. I'd definitely recommend it. Every time, I looked at the clock because the noise woke me up. The hotel seems to be made of cardboard -- you can hear every little sound through the walls and ceiling. Are they sacred here like cows in India or something? I understand we're in the countryside and you're supposed to find a bug or two (or not) but the room was full of all kind of spiders, big and small. If the maid would've cleaned thoroughly that morning, you'd seen one or two maybe but not so many. Also, the doors and walls were full of fingerprints from previous guests. And there was a t-shirt between the dresser and the wall, so she does never look around when she cleans? The joke of it all is that we had been given an envelope to tip the maid!
