    Burnt Pepperoni Pizza

I always give a place a chance. In this case two. Sometimes the chef is out or maybe they are out of an item or maybe the oven isn't writing properly. Bottom line, I WANT people to succeed. That being said, a couple months ago a friend of mine ordered a pizza and while it arrived on time... they are less than 1/2 mile away... it was burnt. We were sitting outside enjoying the last of the warm weather and just shrugged our shoulders and decided that they were having a bad day. - Probably a lot of people were ordering pizza and sitting outside enjoying the weather and the oven was too hot... or something. Then yesterday we decided to give them another chance. We ordered our food, told them that last time it was a little overdone (trying to be nice) and was hoping it wouldn't be burnt. Nope. The picture I attached is 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 Hawaiian. You can tell them apart but can you really tell that the one side is pepperoni or did you just think it was cheese or maybe sausage? This time they were called. Was an apology given? No. An explanation? No. We may as well have been talking to an acorn. No response. Finally after saying that we wouldn't be ordering from them anymore we got a response. "Okay." Then they hung up. Pathetic. Sorry. If you had at least handled the call better then I would have given you a third chance. Instead I'm spending my time and effort telling my friends about my TWO experiences. I'm not even gonna talk about the hockey pucks...I mean toasted ravs that we ordered.

Always hot, always fresh, always good. Tonight was no exception. I ordered pizza at 648pm thinking I'd have the pizza delivered in time for half time of the Green Bay game..... nope got it before the game even started. 711 pm and I'm in front of the TV drinking a beer and enjoying this super hot, wonderful pie. Perfectly cooked. Thanks for making it perfectly every single time

Great pizza and toasted ravioli! Better than expected from an open late pizza joint. Will get this pizza next time through STL.

For those who don't know, Detroit styled pizza is known for its crispy corners and epic cheese pulls. We were greeted warmly upon arrival but wasn't sure what we wanted right away. The gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly and patient as we perused the menu for our selections and perused the very epic drink displays. They have non-alcoholic beverages as well as canned or bottled alcoholic beverages including full size bottles of wine. We settled on their new Hot Honey Hawaiian pizza (Spicy vodka sauce base, shredded mozzarella, fresh sliced mozzarella, bacon, sliced capicola, fresh pineapple, jalapeno, finished with a drizzle of hot honey, and topped with Red Hot Riplets) in Detroit style for our main. They also offer pizza in New York style, traditional hand-tossed and gluten free. Because we were dining in, we were offered complimentary garlic knots which were hot, buttery and came with a side of spicy vodka sauce - which by the way is delicious! Next, our salad came out. We ordered the Nuts and Bolts salad (Mixed greens, walnuts, cranberries, goat cheese, shaved onions, carrots, & raspberry vinaigrette). Normally, goat cheese gives me the ick but this goat cheese did not. I loved how bulky the salad was and filling it was shared between three adults. Our pizza came out (4 squares) easily shareable between us three. The cheese pull was there and the Red Hot Riplets on top, a nod to St. Louis. The squares were hearty as well. Each bite was savory, spicy with a little sweet. I love pineapples so I did wish there were more on there but nevertheless this pizza was a solid choice enjoyed by each of us. Lastly, we were offered complimentary cookie bars which were warm too. I will definitely be back!

The menu is on TVs, and there are a couple of cases with cans/bottles of different drinks. We ordered the meatball pizza Detroit style. It came out quickly and we enjoyed it, but the crust didn't have any of the crispy cheese that we are used to seeing from this style of pizza. Was more like topped foccocia bread than Detroit style. Still good! And worth trying! Service was fine, with what looked like a couple of high school kids working. They take your order and drop it off at your table when done. Lots of tasty looking options to try in the future.

I called to place an order, the man that answered was very short, he said they were busy and wait would be an hour and and a half, I said that's fine. Continuing on, ordered the special minus mushroom. Wanted to ask if a different topping could be added but was cut off and my ordering was over. OK, NBD. Got to the place to get the pizza, my husband went in to grab it and the man at the counter was rude and short with him. Also the place was empty so maybe we called in the order during a dinner rush hense the 95 min wait, again NBD. An employee pulled the pizza out tossed in in the counter and walked away. Then a younger employee walked up to the counter and collected money. I'm hoping the older man was just having a bad day, but being rude in 2 different manners is not a good look. When we get home and started to enjoy this pie half way into eating a slice was a nice piece of rubber, kind of looking like a hair tie or something. Now that's a huge turn off. First experience and now the last. Sorry folks but bad attitude and a foreign object is at all not appealing.

There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot for a family dinner, and the prices are very reasonable. Just a heads-up--they only accept cash or check, so come prepared! We ordered a large pizza with bacon, green peppers, and onions. They were incredibly accommodating when my husband asked for only half the pizza to have the toppings he doesn't like, no problem at all. The owner's son was there and shared a bit about the family history, telling us about his father and grandfather who started the place. That personal touch made our visit even more special. The pizza arrived piping hot, just how I like it, gooey cheese, generous toppings, and full of flavor. They're definitely doing something right here. If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming spot for a weeknight dinner, this is it. Support local and give it a try!

During our latest visit, we ordered the chicken parmesan, lasagna, and rigatoni without lobster, and started with the arancini balls. Every dish was absolutely fantastic, but the real star of the night was the lasagna. This restaurant's lasagna is truly one of a kind and unlike anything you've probably tasted before. It's layered with pistachios, pesto, and squash, creating such a unique balance of creamy, nutty, and savory flavors. It was rich without feeling too heavy, and every bite felt incredibly comforting yet elevated at the same time. Definitely one of my favorite lasagnas ever. Their wine selection never disappoints either. I've also tried a couple of their bourbon cocktails, including the "For the Streets" and the "Black Manhattan," and both were amazing. The drinks are well-balanced, flavorful, and pair beautifully with the food.

We kicked things off with the toasted ravioli, and I can honestly say they are some of the best in St. Louis. You can tell they are handmade in-house--perfectly crispy on the outside with a delicious, savory filling that pairs beautifully with the marinara. We also shared the prosciutto di parma, which was sliced thin and had a wonderful, authentic flavor that set a high bar for the rest of the night. For the main course, we tried two very different but equally amazing dishes: Pepperoni Pizza: The addition of hot honey was a game-changer. It added a bold, spicy kick that balanced the salty pepperoni perfectly. Cacio e Pepe: This was truly spectacular. It's a simple dish that is hard to get right, but this was easily the best I've ever had outside of Rome. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the peppery flavor was throughout. To drink, we ordered the Old Dolce Vita, their unique take on an Old Fashioned. It was expertly crafted and really showed off their skills behind the bar--smooth, balanced, and a great companion to the meal. Our server was fantastic--attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, but also gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy our conversation. We never felt rushed, which made for a perfectly paced and memorable dinner. We will definitely be back

Despite our large group, the server was excellent, providing friendly and efficient service throughout the entire evening. This is a pizza place, and I have Celiac Disease, so I did not eat this visit. However, my friends enjoyed hot appetizers and cheesy pizza slices. I was extremely impressed by the cocktail menu. In terms of rims, you can pick from nothing, salt, sugar or tahin rim. There was plenty of free parking on the street near the restaurant.
