OMG!!! Literally the BEsT Auto Glass place from Hammond to Chicago. Came to get my rear windshield fix on my 2018 EDGE after something hit it and scattered it while driving on interstate55, took it in the price was very reasonable but they couldn't get the trunk open my trunk release went out and the tech who was working on my car informed me I was discouraged but he continued to try nd figure it out for me and ultimately went on YouTube and was able to open it up manually for me!!! I am so extremely grateful and thankful this person did not have to go over and beyond but he did and it's people like him that make me know there are still some good hearted individuals still in this world!! I know you don't know me but this simple thing going the extra mile just helped me and my babies. I did not know what I was going to do For real!!! Looking for good quality work at a reasonable price and done in a timely manner??? This is the place. Set an appointment for a Saturday morning at 10:30 am and was done and outta there by noon. The glass wasn't oem Honda but nbd to me, it was crack free and had a sun screen band across the top too. Reception and waiting area was spartan but clean, the receptionist was friendly upon arrival and check out. The technicians were clean in their work save for a few hand prints on the windshield. Took my vehicle there because my window motor went out.They didnt have the part so I purchased it brand new from the dealership.Took it back to them to be installed, they replaced it but the worker wasnt able to get it to work and I needed to bring the vehicle back the following week when the boss would be back from getting married.This is a luxury vehicle and I explained to the two bird brain receptionist behind the counter that if they couldnt complete the job they should not have half did the work because it voids my warranty on the part I purchased from the dealership.So now Im out of my warranty on my part and my window still doesn't roll up and down appropriately.The boss couldn't fix it either,he told me to take it to the dealership.So long story short they charged me for work they couldn't do. read more

Didn't even make it in the door. Rude over the phone customer service by male attendant. If you cannot at very least greet customers with a proper hello vs. "yea, yeah uh huh! I was really impressed. We had a small chip in our window from a stone kicked up by a semi. Today, that grew into a crack that went ask the way across the windshield, at opposite corners. It was probably due to the blizzard dumping over a foot of snow overnight, adding all that weight on it. So, we needed a new windshield right away. They were able to take us right away, which half the places we called for a quote were not able to do. They worked fast. They said it would take an hour, but i think it was much less, closer to half an hour. They said that we needed to not go over bumpy roads, drive faster than 55, or slam the doors with ask the windows closed because the urethane was still curing. I'm not sure if this is standard, or if most places require that you leave it to sit in their shop for an hour to cure. Either way, there was a 90 day warranty. My only complaint is that Hammond does not plow anything but the main road, and and even that is not done thoroughly. I got stuck twice just trying to get it into their shop. I can't really blame them for that though. Most importantly, they had BY FAR the best price of the half dozen different places we checked. It was actually less than they quoted us for. They will barter for your business. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Brought car in for tint. If you want scratched windows where the installer used a razor to trace the outline of the film, take you car to Hammond Auto Glass. Terrible tint job. Owner took zero responsibility for the scratches. I didn't protest, I paid Ms Tint to fix it-essentially paying twice for one tint job. Don't waste your time or money with this poorly ran operation. Tinting, isn't even a specialty-I learned that the hard way. read more

The technicians were were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, informative and quite willing to discuss details regarding window installation and testing. Gaby was remarkable in all ways. She had an excellent and informed phone presentation, was quite personable, and contributed to my selecting Hammond Glass after I had phoned around. In person she was delightful and attentive to detail, and reflected very well on the company. The price was quite reasonable, was as quoted, and is a good reason to select Hammond Auto Glass. Had a windshield for my '87 IROC-Z in stock! Quick and professional installation.

During the extreme winter weather this January my driver's side Volvo XC90 window cracked, not happy. My wonderful husband drove it to Hammond Auto Glass as they were able to get me in the next day unlike other places which the soonest they could fix was 2-3 days and far too long to drive in sub zero weather. Anyways, it was installed fairly quickly the day my husband brought it in & husband brought it home....whoa.... what a mess of broken glass all over. My husband is immune to messiness btw. Ya think they could have at least vacuumed the glass on the seat and floor, NOPE! I had to in freeing weather outside. On top of that they told my husband that there was still glass inside the door below the window replacement and I shouldn't roll the window down & that I needed to take it to the Volvo dealer & have the door taken apart!!! Are you kidding?? Luckily maintenance was already scheduled for car the following week. The dealer told me that just to look at the door labor would be $150/hr with a min of 2 hours not including additional work/parts. I was also told that the glass company should have removed that glass inside the window so I could roll it down and I should take it back. Moral of the story: Hire another company and wait it out!!! read more

ZERO STARS Called to inquire about a windshield replacement, was informed that it takes one day to be delivered and that they would call me when it arrived. Never received a telephone call. Stopped in 1 week later to hopefully get the windshield installed. Couldn't call ahead because I showed up before the shop was open. Once speaking with the employees at the counter, I was informed they no longer had the windshield they "ordered" for me and that they had sold it. The employee stated they could have another windshield at 11am when their deliveries arrive. I strongly believe they did not order the windshield as it is not a very common vehicle and then tried to cover up the mistake by saying it had been sold. As I was waiting I heard the young woman behind the desk call multiple customers to inform them their windshield has arrived. Another reason that only supports my theory they had never ordered the glass in the first place. Currently waiting two hours until 11am to ensure I'm the first installation in addition to not having a ride home if I were to leave the vehicle here. Edit: Asked to speak with the owner after the installation regarding my problem only to find out the other employee behind the desk that corroborated the lie with the young woman was Victor, the owner. read more

Not professional but got the job done on my rear windshield. Glass shards were not completely vaccuumed out and the car's roof seals were not properly placed back in their slots. Other than that, the front desk was friendly and helpful. There's also an amicable bulldog that roams around the place. Overall good buy. -- I would recommend it for the price and mediocre quality. So far no problems with the glass installed (which is supposedly on warranty via their labor). read more

This business the employees and the owner are the worst I have ever encountered for any auto detailing. I brung my car in to get the windshield replaced, and my wife and I just cleaned it prior to bringing it to them. The was no scratches or marks on the seat no wears and tears ANYWHERE!!!.... after they replace the windshield and returned my vehicle back to me the inside was very unclean and dirty, hand prints were all over my grey interior and tons of debris that apparently came from the removal of the glass were left on the dashboard, the left passenger side,the right passenger side, and in the center console. upon further investigation I look at my side right panel and is basically torn and when I ask for the installer he act like he didn't know English and as I was trying to explain to him it wasn't like this he just walked away. Then when I was told to talk to the manager Victor he was very rude and unprofessional he made excuses for his employee telling me that he's going through something which I really don't give a "F"... Because I'm going through something right now as well but I still paid him in cash full!!!!!! He constantly tryed to insult my intelligence by telling me that the car was like this and that panel was like that. I insisted that they fix it and he constantly argued with me and belittled me and tried to make me have a reaction which I did not. I recorded several videos of before and after an actual videos of us arguing. so on the day of getting my panel replace he tells me to drive the vehicle into his establishment which I never done before once I got in he told me that I'm not allowed to record anymore because I'm on his personal property. Then he told me to put my phone down in my own car!!!!! needless to say that didn't happen but I didn't record. I stayed calm and quiet while he constantly trying to explain to me once again they didn't do this and he don't want me to come here anymore and he don't like dealing with people like me and I've been irrational from the beginning which is a total lie! I kept my calm and didn't verbally or physically lash at him like I wanted to. So I left the establishment with nothing else said. Bottom line they are very unprofessional even after I pay them in cash fully they treated me like garbage ,talk to me like garbage and did a piss-poor job on my car. this place broke the moulding on my car and refused to fix it. this company is full of lies and will not be held accountable for what they break. i have a lexus es350 in which victor (manager) gave me an estimate. he allowed jesse to work on my car in which he broke the piece to my vehicle. he refused to check the survillance cameras to confirm the piece was broke. i am currently seeking a lawyer to solve this problem. they are cheap for a reason to leave you money to fix all the shit they break. i have also placed a complaint with the better business bureau as i obtained a valid police report all for $170.00. stay away from this place if you have a foriegn vehicle please! read more
