On Monday May 11, I received a recommendation from my co-worker for Ms. Tint. He said they were quick, well-priced, and did a fantastic job. After reading many reviews and seeing that their rating was higher than my normal place, I decided to give them a try. I called the main number and left a message. I received a call a couple of hours later and began talking about what I was interested in when I was put on hold. I hung up after being on hold for 5 minutes and after some time passed they called back. I was a little put off, but the girl on the phone sounded incredibly knowledgeable so I set an appointment for today (Friday). I was told the following information via text "Hi, this is B(*******) with MsTint. Just reminding that It you are still bringing your vehicle tomorrow drop off is 10am-12noon, it is also first come first serve. Pick up is 6pm-8pm, but we will call 20 minutes before your vehicle is ready for pick up. We are also only accepting cash and exact change. Thank you!" I arrived early and was the first car there. I pulled the car around to the back, told the worker what I was interested in, signed some paperwork and paid. Now pickup is between 6pm and 8pm but since it is a first come first serve basis and based on most reviews I read and a personal account of how quick they work, my wife and I chose to stay in the area for a couple of hours and grab some lunch while the car was getting tints. We didn't bring another car and kind of regretted it after realizing how lacking Griffith is in regards to sidewalks, but I digress. A couple hours came and went and having exhausted our patience we walked back to the shop and noticed that our car was inside the shop (being worked on no doubt). We even went so far as to check our cars app and saw all the doors were open so they must have been getting it prepped, right? The doors remained open for the next couple of hours while we waited. At this point, we figured they probably weren't gonna call until the drop off time, but the car was still in there. Our bad for thinking we could stay and guessing we'd get the car back before the pick up time, even though that was the experience of many others. Sure we could have called for a ride or ubered home, but every minute we spent waiting was another minute we were cemented in our decision to just wait it out. It's just tints surely it couldn't take much longer. Finally we got the glorious call around 440pm. I was super excited to pickup the phone and to get out of the increasingly hot sun. When I answered the phone, the girl I had been dealing with said that for some technical reason they were unable to tint the vehicle and I could leave the car overnight and they could do it tomorrow or I could come back and get it. I was obviously livid. We'd been moseying around Griffith for 7 hours at this point. I chose to get the car (so we could get home) and when I came to the back to get it she didn't remember what car I had and was trying to give me a different car until I told her what car was mine. I asked why the tints couldn't be done and she gave me some story about a family issue/emergency as well as something they need to do the tints that wasn't working. Not even a sorry until I was complaining that they kept my vehicle all day when they didn't need to, then a kind of sorry. They obviously knew it wasn't going to get tinted because they called me a little over an hour before pickup time. There wouldn't have been enough time in the day to get it done. I then had to remind her that I was due a refund as she tried to end our interaction without finishing that transaction. Very disappointed in this business, the communication and the empathy for the customer. If this was my business I would have been mortified and offered an expedited tinting for free sometime in the following week. I barely got an apology let alone an offer for a discount or something to make up for the horrendous business practices we experienced. I didn't even get offered another appointment to get my windows tinted at a later time (not that I would have taken it at this point). I would be very cautious when doing business with Ms. Tint.
