I was referred to Tint To U by the manufacturer of the tint film I wanted to use. Jeff contacted me as soon as he received my information. I ended up corresponding with him via email about the tint. He did a great job of explaining the options for my car. I ended up setting up an appointment to bring my car in to his shop. He also offers a mobile tinting service. I arrived at his shop and Jeff was very friendly and helpful. He was very professional and help me choose the correct type of tint for my needs. He took his time and didn't rush any aspect of the job. After the car was finished. Jeff let me know what to expect from a new tint job over the next couple of weeks. He let me know if I had any concerns to let him know and assured me if there is a problem it would be taken care of. After talking to Jeff and seeing his work, I will be recommending him to friends in need of tinting. I was impressed by every aspect of the work. If I need tinting work again, I will be returning to Tint To U! read more

First off let me start by saying I am by no means a tint expert. That said, over the years I've owned 10 cars/trucks and I've gotten every one of them tinted at an out of state business (recently relocated to IL). The aforementioned business closed down after many years as the owners retired. Fast forward to this past July and I am in the market for some tint. Just purchased a brand new black Honda Accord Touring model and started researching where to go for quality film and top installers. I went to the Llumar website as this is the film I've always gotten. This is where I found TinttoYou as a "Select Pro" installer and was pleased to read many positive reviews. I booked by appointment, took a half day off work and went to take my brand new car to get a top quality tint job. I show up for my tint appointment and get the top end film (Llumar ceramic) all windows and sun visor strip, and after taxes it's approximately $450. My initial thought is I am OK paying this for a top quality install. I believe I got the final appointment of the day as the lady at the front desk told me she had a number of installers working on my car - 1st red flag. To me it seemed everyone was more interested in finishing up for the day as person after person trickled out of the shop - 2nd red flag. At this point I still feel I am getting a quality install so I don't think too much about what's happening. The shop finishes up, I pay for my services, and go about my business. At this point I know the drill, don't roll down the windows for 3-5 days (I left them untouched for a full week), film may look hazy for some time until the film fully dries/cures, and small bubbles will disappear. After 4 days, I notice EVERY WINDOW HASE LARGE DUST PARTICLES under the film, and with a black car and dark tint, the dust sticks out like a sore thumb. Not good. I then call the shop to arrange for the job to be redone. At this point, the lady on the phone says she does not want to reschedule a full re-tint until they are able to take a look at it - which I guess I understand but given that I have had 9 other vehicles tinted, I know what a good job looks like and this was not it. I agree to come in for them to assess. When at the shop, the lady tells me she is going to get me in touch with "the owner" because the dust under the film is "within spec." What?!?! Within spec? Let me restate this - every single window had large dust particles under the film and with a black car and dark windows this sticks out like a sore thumb. After a lot of back and forth, the shop agreed to re-tint 3 windows and "fix" the others. As they proceed with the re-tint, the installer calls me into the shop to show me the progress, and directs my attention to a chip in the driver window (inside) and says this was the reason it looked like there was a large dust particle there. Mind you I had a brand new car, just driven off the lot a couple weeks ago and basically babied since. There is no way it was chipped prior to coming here. At this point I am extremely dissatisfied and want to just get my car and leave. The shop finishes up the re-tinting and "fixing." The fixed windows do look better, but at this point I am done with this place and just want my car back. The "owner" never showed up, never called to speak with me, nothing. As I leave, the shop then has the gall to state I have a lifetime warranty and to come back with any concerns. I will never go back there and would strongly discourage anyone from going to get window tint at this place. Even now I look at the tint job and while some windows look good, I have one that you can see streaks in the film, which I am guessing must be under the film as cleaning both sides of the window does not remove them. Go elsewhere if you want a quality tint job. I am an actual customer and this is a real review. read more

We recently bought a condo which has an unusual very large gallery with floor to ceiling windows all along one side. I researched window film to reduce the sun's heat and to improve insulation in the winter, and concluded that Llumar/Vista film by Eastman offered the best solution. Among the authorized dealers/installers, Tint To U had the best ratings, and I can see why. Jeff Cipolla, the owner, came out within a few days of my contacting him to offer the most appropriate product and to give me an estimate. He arrived promptly, took the time to evaluate our situation and took measurements without anything resembling a hard sell, and pointed out the pros and cons of each option. I got the estimate the same day, and the work was scheduled a week after I accepted the proposal. His workers - Jeff and Justin - arrived punctually, were efficient and courteous, and finished the job when they said they would. Then came the real test: some water had gotten behind the film on one of the panes, and when it became clear that it wouldn't dry out, I texted Jeff with a photo. He responded immediately, and the other Jeff and Justin were here the next day to redo that window pane. Great work and excellent customer service! read more

About 6 months ago I purchased a new Honda civic,(her name is Sylvia) and was very anal about how I wanted my car cared for and tinted. My first visit here, I had my windows tinted. They were very patient with showing me different examples and made me feel very comfortable with there knowledge. I sat and watched them do the job and afterwards I was extremely impressed. The first shop I took my 2014 Audi A5 to would not tint this car because of a electronic component that is very expensive on the rear deck.They were afraid it would get wet. I then took it to Tint To U. They informed me that they got the memo and knew what precautions were needed to do the job without any problems. After being shown various product options I decided on a legal shade which was installed very professionally in a impecably clean shop. Nice!!! After the job I was advised on how to care for the tint and given paperwork to support a lifetime warranty .Nice!!! A great all around experience from the front desk to the back door. I was looking forward to getting my car tinted for years.. just never was in the budget. Finally saved up enough dough to get it done- and my previous tinting place was gone! Therefore, I went to Facebook and asked my friends to recommend a place to get my windows tinted. A friend said she has all her cars done at Tint to U and has never been disappointed. She was right! My schedule was tight, so I dropped my car off the night before. The next morning I was contacted to confirm my order- and luckily the installer made sure to mention that I had selected a darker tint for the front then the back. Glad he made a point to mention this as it would have been illegally tinted then and would look dumb. When I went to pick up my car the office staff was very friendly. Somehow the price in the system was not what I was quoted over the phone, but they were nice enough to honor what I told them. The installer pulled the car out and reviewed the tinting for me, and was very professional. He made sure that I knew how long to wait for the tint to dry. Long story short: Couldn't be happier with the tints and customer service! I definitely will return when I need tint on my next car, and would recommend to any one. read more

Would not give 1 star if it was an option to leave a review. Took my new vehicle to the Orland Park location on 12-14-2020 at 4pm by appointment at the recommendation of Lexus of Orland Park. After approximately 1hr and 15 minutes I was told it wouldn't be much longer, they were just making adjustments to the tint, by that time it was dark outside. Noticed the next day in daylight a lot of bubbles and the tint had approx 1/8 in gap along windows edge along with creases in the tint. Not to mention all of the water marks all over the entire inside of the door. Went back on 12-22-2020 at approximately 10:30am and explained the issue with the tint. When they were told I was dissatisfied for the above reasons, I was told by a woman at the front desk that I should have taken it somewhere else then, but this was after she made the comment that tinting some windows is difficult to do. She was extremely rude and I definitely would not recommend taking any vehicle you care about to the Orland Park location due to the lack of customer service skills and poor install. If you do make the mistake of taking your vehicle here, do not take the last appointment of the day like I did. I was told by another employee that if you take your vehicle in late in the day, the techs installing the tint may be in a hurry because of the closing time. Again, would not and could not recommend this place. I have yet another appointment to get the tint fixed, so we will see if this actually happens. read more

Got our windows tinted on a brand new vehicle. They damaged/melted the inside door panel when applying it with the heat gun. They aren't claiming responsibility. Don't go there...owner is flaky and doesn't answer calls. Would rate it a zero if it were an option. read more

Awesome tint job on my 2011 Evo, had all 4 windows and the back done at 30%. Unfortunately, I was pulled over a few months ago by some young Elmhurst cop(at 9pm on a weekday) claiming that my tints were "too dark", he tested my windows with a "tint tester" and thankfully it passed at around 32%. If you get tints, be aware that you may be targeted from cops that have nothing to do. read more
