Mocktails - melon (foreground) and spritzer
    Marc H.

Hamlin House offered a non-member preview so my friend and I tried it out. The place is in an industrial area/business park so you might not know it is there unless you are looking for it. When you walk in, the club has a welcome desk where you can get a tour of the place. They have a few indoor pickleball courts with locker rooms as well as some outdoor tennis courts (or are those pickleball too?). There is a coffee place and a restaurant. We had lunch at Hamlin House. The service was excellent! Great recommendations, attentive, and kind servers. We started with the potato croquettes with a cheddar cheese pimento spread - so delicious! We got the fried chicken sandwich and the lobster roll for our entrees. Both meals came with French fries. We were very impressed with the flavor of both sandwiches. The fries, however, were pretty average. For our beverages, we tried the mocktails - one was the melon and the other was the spring spritzer(?). The place has a nice vibe, and they can host events with one of their rooms accommodating 150 people. The non-member preview runs through February 28 and then it will be member only. I recommend trying this one out.

Amazingly aesthetic dining area and community spaces! Brunch was seamless, their wait staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I finished everything I ordered, then still had time to play so I was full but not stuffed. Love this venue for easy evenings or events.

This place is for members only but because of an event that was hosted there, I got to spend the day there for brunch and pickleball. Food was pretty good, I gave my feedback on the food to the staff directly. I actually returned for brunch 2 weeks later and saw improvements based on my feedback, which was such a lovely surprise. Although not pictured, the shrimp and grits was AMAZING (Pro tip: Ask them to add a little cheese to the grits!) The late check out drink is so yummy and feels like an island escape. Staff is amazing. They really make sure you have a good experience and they're thorough. The ambiance is chic and on the quieter side. I wish they would open to the public more!

Super swanky venue. They just opened about a week but was really empty and in a kind of hard spot to locate. It is a members only spot but they couldn't turn away the only people that was at the place. Thought the restaurant was opened to nonmembers but guess it's not. Their website didn't say much - no menu, no phone number, or reservation button. It was super easy to book a reservation through Google tho which was odd because they didn't even know about it Staff were friendly and even got a tour around the place. 1 large indoor court with lots of room for a large event, 2 indoor courts in another room that's spacious as well but not as large. 4 outdoor courts with a nice set up with a tent on one side with good lighting The restaurant is very nicely done, has old school mixed with new school. Menu was ok. Branzino was a good size, butterflied and deboned. Chimichurri could have used more garlic and flavors overall. The tuna chu toro was kind of a joke. Seemed lke about 2 normal pieces of tuna cut into 6 pieces. Super small pieces with toppings crammed on top. Tallow fries were just regular fries. Came with ketchup, Dijon mustard and ranch. Ranch was the best one for me It was pretty coo to find out their coffees come from a popular coffee shop around town - Lineage They just opened so they're going through some growing pains even though they just had their soft opening. But I can see this place being good for events and big groups. They got open plays at the outside courts

We had a wonderful experience at Hamlin House!! From being welcoming greeted as soon as we entered to when we left and everything in between. It was perfect! The vibe of the entire place is like a relaxing lavish hotel lobby. Our waitress greeted us by name (listed on the reservation). She was very attentive and provided her recommendations for food. We started with the Pog-Star Martini and the Night Moves bourbon drink. Both drinks were delicious. The martini included a side of champagne to top the drink and the bourbon drink included a pocky chocolate stick. We heard the bread was not to be missed and we now understand why. It was amazing! Don't skip on this. It's worth every calorie. My only wish was that the bread was unlimited (aka bread service) rather than just 1 loaf. We then moved on to salad. We ordered both the Caesar salad and the wedge salad. Both were very tasty with enough to share. The dressing on both were great. For dinner, we got their 2 different pizzas, artichoke lasagna, and the branzino (fish). Everything was delicious. The fish was missing a side, like a vegetable. Finally, we ended the night with their 2 recommended desserts...the pineapple dole whip and the chocolate cigar cake. Both were amazing! We especially loved the presentation of the dole whip. Orlando is so lucky to have this restaurant and club. The calming feeling that you get being here is amazing. I'm sure it's due to the color choices, decor, and vibes. This place is definitely not to be missed. Give it a try before they close out their preview to non-members. One note...the restaurant is a little pricey. However, for the wonderful service, Michelin-starred Chef, great tasting food and drinks, and amazing vibes, it's worth the money.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

We looked over the happy hour menu (good all day on Monday nights and Tuesday through Friday 5-7pm). We ask Mel about the "Bartender's Choice" selection under happy hour drinks. She said the bartender will mix a drink of their preference. The customer cannot choose the alcohol or any mixers as the bartender makes the decisions all by him or herself. Mel asked if we had any allergies or any other issues that might affect the drinks the bartender would like to make. We said we did not and we decided to take on this "choice" experience. Serena was the bartender of the evening and she did an amazing job. She mixed up various concoctions for us throughout the night (we ordered a second round after the first one) and we enjoyed every drink she prepared. The presentation of the drinks were also well done. Serena's cocktails consisted of bourbon, rum, and various ingredients which could include bitters, lemon, agave or other cocktail mixers. She was the bartender extraordinaire of the evening. For food, we ordered the half dozen chicken wings (2 orders since they were so good) and the pizza empanadas to start. The two empanadas had mozzarella cheese stuffed inside and were served with a warm marinara. From the main menu, we ordered the Faroe Island Salmon, which was served on a bad of risotto and tomato butter, with capers. The portion of the salmon was somewhat small for the price of $28, but it and the risotto were cooked perfectly. We ended the night with their signature drink, "Death in the Afternoon" which contains absinthe and is one of my favorite drinks here in Orlando. It was another five star experience and my friend found a new restaurant she now loves. All in all, a great night thanks to the attentiveness and easy-going attitude of Mel, our server, and the exceptional cocktails from the bartender, Serena. Thank you both for a job very well done!

Our reservation was at 7pm and we didn't get seated until almost 7:30pm. The place itself isn't very big, it's cozy, cute and I liked the vibes but when the other couple we were meeting with showed up it did feel a little crowded by the host stand. The host was nice enough to give us a menu to browse while we waited and someone came to ask us what drink we would like to sip on (i really thought they were offering us a free drink for the wait, but later saw we were charged for them, no biggie but would have been nice considering we waited so long) Drinks were all so so good! No complaints there. We started with the smoked fish dip and ceviche which was different than your typical one, but refreshing! I had the skirt steak - it was flavorful but definitely heavy on the salt. I still really enjoyed it as well as the rice & beans. Hubby got the ropa veija which he enjoyed. Our friend got the osso buco which he liked, but said the chicharron was not good at all. We then had some pastelitos for dessert! They added a 18% gratuity to the check, which was fine and I appreciated them telling us as well as circling it. Overall I think it was really good but nothing out of the world, you can find similar food for much less at your other local Cuban spots - what sets the place apart is the drinks and vibes so if you're looking for the whole experience then it's your place.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.
