Absolutely love Hamlet's! My parents and I have been coming here since I was a child. The food is always great and reliable, and the prices are great for what you get. Even if you don't know what to eat for a meal, Hamlet's will always be a great choice because their flavors always are always spot on. My favorite is the Lula Beef Kebab. My parents will also get the pork chops if they want more variety. The orders we get come with rice, a roasted tomato, onions with cilantro, and a roasted jalapeño. When you enter you immediately notice how clean it is. I remember one holiday, I was with my parents and entered, and you see them cooking everything fresh. When we order, we always take it to go and eat it at home. 10/10 would recommend! read more

This is my first time trying Armenian bbq so I don't have anything to compare Hamlet's to, but wow, this was delicious. Enter the parking lot through the back on the left corner, you'll see a sign for Hamlet's. As the other reviews have stated, there are some tables outside, but no seats, and it's not really a place to sit and eat. It was a good thing that I called ahead for takeout because I would not have remembered that it was cash only. I picked up the beef lula kabob with rice for a friend and the pork chops with potato for myself. Honestly, I don't think I've had juicier pork chops, and I don't even know if they have any sauces, but I didn't need it. (Even if I always want sauces, because give me all the sauce.) I love this place, and I ordered from here many times. The food was very delicious and the prices are reasonable. Recently, however, I ordered pork barbecue and when we opened it, the pig smell came and it was nasty. It smelled like there was a pig in the room. I don't know if their meat quality declined but after that we can't eat anymore and all that order went to trash. read more

Customer service doesn't exist here. Former Soviet Union type of attitude runs in most Armenian establishments. The beef kabob is worth the rudeness. Make sure you tip the lady in the kitchen, she's the one making you the great food. read more

Hidden in a back of the small shopping center is the Hamlet's Kitchen. It was recommended by a local as a good place to get some Armenian food quick and cheap. Place is almost hard to find (you have to drive around to the very corner of the plaza to find it - there's no huge sign or anything). They have just outdoor 'standing' dining area but it's OK with me - eat and get on my way back home! We had shawerma wrapped in a flat bread with some tomatoes and onions. $17 for 2 meals (w/ 2 sodas) that tasted great and filled us up all the way to Vegas... I'm a fan. I will definitely try more of their stuff next time I'm in Glendale. + cheap. similar meal in a sit down restaurant probably going to cost you about 2x as much - cash only - little hard to find first time - place is mostly for take out... no 'real' dining area except outside read more

The person who took my order over the phone either doesn't know basic math or deliberately provided a significantly lower quote than their real price. I'm inclined to believe it's the latter. She quoted us a price of $95 over the phone, but when I went to pick up the order they said it was $145 in cash (they don't take cards). Needless to say, this nonsense really upset me. Lesson: if you still decide to order from this place, take a briefcase of cash with you because the price might just double when you get there! Yum. This was delish. Found this via yelp as I needed a quick place to eat after listing a property for sale in Glendale. Had to ask where it was when I was in the complex as it was kind of hidden. They didn't speak much english so a customer had to translate for me. Very fresh and delish. I had the pork sandwich at the recommendation of another customer. It was very delicious. It's cash monay only. It's best to call in ahead of time to place your order. It's a hit or miss with the service. There's a very sweet lady there. Let's face it this place is oh so popular for their house made different "salads" or as we know them in English side dishes. My ultimate favorites are the beet salad with sour cream, walnuts & garlic. So fresh, clean & simple.
