I called Hamlet because of the Yelp Reviews. Very Nice Guy, Clean Shop, Fast Service. I will be returning to Hamlet's BMW Service!! read more

These guys are eternally nice!!! My car wouldn't start at my apartment and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and Hamlet and one of his techs personally came to my apartment to look at it and help me out. How sweet of them! He told me what was wrong with my car and gave my car a jumpstart so I could take it to his shop to get it fixed. It took less than 30 minutes for them to install a new battery for me. They also took the time to check my car out for any other problems it may have and pointed out some other issues with it that it may have in the future. Very very honest men! I would definitely recommend anyone taking their BMW here. read more

I took my 2004 BMW to three different mechanics because I sold it and it wouldn't pass the smog test. They all sent me home and told me to "drive it around for a few hours." I drove it around for over a MONTH and the buyer was already fed up with the wait time. As a last resort, I googled BMW mechanics and found Hamlet's service. It took him 10 min to tell me that there was something wrong with the car temperature and he could have it fixed and the smog passed in a few hours. I could've cried from happiness, I wish I took it to him sooner. Thank you!!!!! Highly recommend! read more

I've been going to Hamlet for all my BMWs needs. Car problems are so stressful especially as a woman it can be frustrating and difficult when you don't know what to do or where to go. Thankfully, I found Hamlets and have been coming here for all my car problems. I've had my BMW for 5 years and this will be my 3rd time coming here. They have great customer service and really know what they are doing. Skip the dealership fees and come here! read more

I brought my bmw e92 335i for general service, the staff was very friendly and i was pleased with the service and the pricing. Hopefully, i don't make too many visits there. But when the time comes up, I'm gonna for sure go back there. Glad i found this shop! read more

Hamlet's BMW Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Glendale, California

Hamlet is the best BMW mechanic........ I took my car to hamlets bmw and he did a great job and their service is awesome read more

I came into hamlet because the service engine soon light came on. They were able to fix three sensors, the valvetronic, and fix the radiator from leaking. However... a few days later the "service engine soon" light came back on, but disappeared after a few days. Would overall recommend!!! read more

I love these guys. I have a 93 325is and they have babied it over the years. Service is excellent and fast. They really think outside the box, to give you the best bang for the dollar. They are such a pleasure to work with. read more

Sucks. He fixed and painted the hood on my BMW. A month later the paint started to crack and peal. I went back the following month. He said it was his fault for rushing. He fixed it again and 2 months later the paint is cracking and chipping again. Why would I want to go back again? It will be a waste of my time. I do not recommend Hamlet's BMW shop. Stay away. Those who post good reviews are family and friends of the shop. read more

Hamlet's BMW services are outstanding. Anytime I have an issue with my car I take it there. I fully trust these guys to give me the best price, being that the dealership charges far more for the same service. They only use BMW car parts too. My car is usually serviced in a timely matter, which I can appreciate. These guys are very knowledgeable and efficient! read more

Took my 2008 m5 here a few weeks ago had my clutch replacement he did his got for a good price ... Went to pick up my car he told me my smg pump was no good. I didn't believe him so I took it to a much better shop bimmer PhD in Pasadena. I was told that Hamlet didn't do the bleed process correctly when changing the clutch that's why my car was not shifting correctly. So they did the bleed again and my cars working perfectly now which means either Hamlet doesn't no what his doing or he was trying to make a quick 4 grand on me.... read more

First off, Hamlet is a nice, respectable, friendly guy. But my car could care less about that. What should have been a $240 repair has now turned into $700+ I take my '06 530i in because the fuel pump housing has a crack in it and is leaking. I know because I do my research, pull the back seat out, and check the housing on the passenger side. I know the new pump housing is around $180 and labor is about an hour. I call Hamlet and drop the car off. He calls me after his "diagnosis" and confirms what I already told him. "Part is $200 and about $40 to put it in", he says. I say OK. He calls back an hour later and says that he ordered the wrong part. "The real price is $389 for the part and $180 for labor.", he now says. WTF? I tell him I was going to have to wait to have it replaced, so I'll come get the car. When I pick it up, there has been gas sprayed all over the back bench. I drive it home, but unable to drive any more because of the smell, and spend the next 3 DAYS, soaking up fuel, scrubbing, soaking up, scrubbing, air-ing out, etc. 4 days later its still not gone, but at least its driveable. Why was there gas sprayed everywhere when there was not even any repairs made? Hmmmm. So I go buy the new pump myself, $210 +tax. and take it back for him to do the repairs. I explain to him that it was very frustrating to have to clean all the gas out the back. He just made some flimsy excuses, and basically said "it's not possible that the gas was spilled, because we didn't do the replacement." Well, obviously it was. But, I try to maintain peaceful relationships with people and agree to pay the $180 labor to install the pump I brought. An hour later he calls me and says that the locking ring on the drivers side filter (which needs to be removed to install the passenger side pump) is jammed and the only way he can get it off is by breaking the filter housing on that side. WTF? So the last mechanic to touch those filters was his (on Monday) and now he cant get the lock off (on Friday), and he says it's my fault. He insists that I took the car home, over-tightened the ring and brought it back. Why would I do that?? Oh btw when I explained the situation about the gas in the back earlier he said his mechanic didn't touch the left side so he couldn't have spilled the gas. But now that the ring is locked up, he says he was sure his mechanic tightened the ring by hand (on Monday). So which is is Hamlet? Did he or didn't he?? When I dont get any updates, I CALL IN many hours later to check on the progress, he informs me that they got the ring off, broke the filter (a $117 part), and ordered a new one at a price of $279 from Century West BMW. Who in the hell orders parts from the BMW dealer?? If I wanted to pay dealer prices, I would have gone to the Stealer. He refuses for me to bring in my own filter to install (even though he is already installing a pump I brought in...), so what started out as a $240 repair has now turned into $700 + . His refusal to come to any sort of compromise is just straight up bad customer service. read more

This shop has been around for over 14 years!!! That alone should tell you something. Hamlets bmw is the only place I'll ever bring my bmw for repair or maintenance. I have a 2009 bmw 650i and hamlet has been taking care of it ever since my factory warranty expired. He maintained my great and with passion which is very important in my opinion with mechanic shops. And luckily I haven't had big issues only simple wear and tear. Hamlet is very honest and knowledgeable and his shop is very clean with great service. I highly recommend hamlets bmw for all of your bmw needs! read more

Hamlet BMW is a great alternative to the dealership. I brought my car here after an accident, he handled all the paperwork and repaired the car back to normal. There was about over 10k worth of damages and he managed to put the car together in a little over 2 weeks, including paint. He can handle large jobs and small jobs as well. I had asked him about the reviewer above and he explained that he wanted the abs cables cut (something unethical In the car business) and he wouldn't do it, which just made me trust him even more. Overall: trustworthy, can handle big jobs and small, good turn-around time, and you only have to go there once, no BS. It's hard to find a shop like this nowadays, but I'm just glad i did. read more

Let me start by saying that I'm not the type of person that writes reviews. However after having been to so many shops I can honestly say that Hamlet is a top notch shop. These guys really know there stuff, they were able to pin point the issues and promptly get the work done. These guys live and breathe BMW, they know these cars from the inside out. They are very detail oriented, kept me informed through out the whole process. I will never take my 7 series anywhere else! read more

Hamlet is great! He diagnosis and fixes my 96 Z3 quickly for fair prices. He's friendly too.

I brought in my sons BMW 330 in for a full service and I was greeted and treated very kindly, the car was fully serviced within two days and their prices were much better than any other mechanic shop I've been to. After that I brought my BMW X5 and got an engine service and my bumper replaced. The work was absolutely incredible and they used all oem parts. The customer service was amazing and I recommend that anybody that has a BMW come here to get anything done to it. 10/10 for read more

I had a five-Star Experience at Hamlet's. I took my 328i in because my Ambient Sensor was reading -40F. Hamlet and crew took the time to find out if it was precisely this issue or something else, before quoting me a price for the repair. On my return, The car was ready at the promised time, and Hamlet had pictures of the entire repair. Very professional and polite and friendly crew, who are knowledgeable and at the same time very good at figuring out what needs to be done, and gets it done. read more

I have recently purchased a 06 X5 4.4I and had some alternator issues after already financing the car, and having so many issues with other mechanic shops I gave Hamlets BMW repair a try and did just that repair and had amazing customer service also car was done in 1 day with a fair price my car feels like new and I owe it to this shop. Defiantly take your car to this shop you will be very satisfied as I was. read more

Dont waste your time searching for cheap oil change place. Take it to Hamlet and he will take care of it for you in less than half an hour. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient! He knows his stuff. I took my BMW to him to change the oil and he told me I should bring it to for an oil change more often, every 7000 mile which I agree and I know I haven't been taking care of my care the way I should! He changed the oil, filter, did bunch of other services such as, added anti-freeze liquid, break fluid, radiator water.... He even fixed the bottom engine cover that was falling off! I like this guy and his service. read more

Hamlets bmw service was recommended to me by a friend who had work done there. I brought my 2008 bmw 550i for brake job and other misc services and was very pleased with hamlet. Repairs that cost thousands else where will cost much less here and be done right the first time. They'll even go out of their way giving customers occasional rides or other favors. They'll definitely take care of my bmw for as long as i have it. So if you're looking for a great work done by people who know what they're doing, I highly recommend going to Hamlets bmw! read more

I have BMW X5 2002 hamlet he is best technician mechanic for BMW he always friendly and honest

Do not come here I repeat DO NOT!!! I have a 2011 bmw 328 and my check engine light came on. I decided to google the nearest bmw service since I didn't want to pay the dealer ship and I found this fraud!!! He checked my car and said I had a "bad coil" and all I needed to do was replace it and that he could do it on the spot for $150 so I said really that's awesome. I kept watching him the whole time and he questioned me why I was watching him and I said I'm just curious. Well I walked away for a few minutes on a phone call and he said he was done! I said wow just like that? He said all fixed. I noticed my car was still driving a little weird but didn't think much of it. The next day my check engine light came on again and I was pissed!!! I took my car to bmw and had a diagnostic check and guess what!!! He never changed my coil!!!! He is a liar and a fraud!!! He's lucky I didn't sue him!!! read more

Best auto shop ever! Great service, great mechanics and great people! I definately recommend if you have car problems Hamlet's BMW is the right place for you! I got into an accident and my front and back bumper was damaged, they did an amazing job in fixing it and it looks brand new like nothing has ever happened! read more

Hamlet fixed my car when noone else could. I recently relocated from the midwest and shipped my virtually non-running 1999 528i sedan out here. Running on 3 cylinders, stalling and with a host of other problems, it had been to two BMW dealerships and two independent mechanics in ohio. The closest diagnosis I could get was an "electrical problem". I took it to Hamlet, expecting the "your-car is-a-shell-of-it's-former-self-and-would-make-a-nice-boat-anchor" kind of conversation . Hamlet was friendly and inspired confidence. The team really does seem passionate about these cars--and the lot is full of them in various stages of repair. A week later, they called to let me know it was fixed, started fine, ran fine and was ready to be picked up! The problem was the oil seperator, at a cost of $430. The car runs wonderfully! I had bought it used, and it's in better shape now that the day I purchased it. It is in need of more maintenance, and I will be returning to Hamlet for that. I cannot recommend them enough. A great team with terrific service! read more

Hamlet's offered fantastic service. They were extremely professional, and did not lag on my car at all. Usually when I take my car anywhere it takes forever to get anything done. I own only BMW's and he has worked on my m3 on 3 different occasions, and although there may have been a cheaper shop to work on the car, they were considerably way cheaper than the "stealership" that quoted me 2k more than what Hamlets quoted me. If you want to get dealership like service and quality, but not willing to pay the dealership pricing than Hamlet's is the key ticket. They have everything and more than what any bmw dealership service shop has. If you want to get a mickey mouse job done to your car and want to go for extremely cheap pricing, than Hamlets is not for you. I am extremely happy, and get my cars serviced with them. They also installed some aftermarket parts on my car and knew everything about them from a-z, they are true car guys, and definitely know bimmers in and out. read more

Got the 528 back, shiny and sounding happy as usual. They polished the headlights and did a serious cleaning on the rims, without request or charge. The mechanics couldn't stand seeing her in the state she was in, and too it upon themselves for their pride in BMW'S. Really folks, if you want to keep it going (ours is 14yrs) take it here. If you're a trade in professional, take it to the generic oil/brake/donut stand downtown, and let the grown folks get their cars fixed right. read more

I always say in this life one needs to have an honest doctor and an honest mechanic. While I am still not sure about the doctor, I know I have found the latter - an honest mechanic. Hamlet runs his own family business and takes care of his customers personally. I am sure Hamlet's BMW has hundreds of satisfied customers but sadly only the customers who had a somewhat negative experience decided to write reviews on Yelp. This certainly doesn't show the true picture of this business. They are always busy, which must mean they are doing something right. I have taken my cars there several times and only received courteous service along with very reasonable charges: way below what a dealer would charge for a similar service. read more

Hamlet is great! He always knows what's up with your car and will recommend what you need. Always friendly and fast service. A great local find! He has done all kinds of work for me from engine, to front end, to a car door window. read more

Be careful for taking your bimmer Hamlet for repair. My brake job was over $700 for front wheels stating rotor and other accessories required to replace. It's way too expensive.! Btw, his mechanic didn't do it right. When I complained, he said engine mounting bushing. He quoted + $1k. Outa whack read more

If you take the car in they will repair it, not cheap but better than the dealer. The problem is the lack of creativity in providing the repairs. Everything requires new parts. He offers few options. I have (had) been going to Hamlet for almost 8 years but his attitude has really changed and he is a bit hard to take. read more

Hey guys actually they doing a horrible job every time I took my car second day I had a problem again my cousins used to go there and I told all of them to stop going there they do a really horrible job and , when I used to take my car there they will fix it and the following day I would have another problem I don't know that was coincidence or they do it on purpose to go back to them just make sure you guys don't leave your car too long there read more

This is Rudy. I would not advise to anybody taking their car to Hamlet BMW at Colorado Street for service. It is 25% cheaper than dealer price but not worth it. The Owner is very nice personality but his mechanics are worthless. Recent I took my BMW 525I, 2002 for service at Hamlet. He charged me over $2,000. for brake job, changing transmission fluid, changing A/C filter, changing power steering fluid, and replacing the oiled pan gasket. After the all services were done, next day the car was shaken at speed 65 MPH when I stepped on brake, and made so much knocking noise at front wheel when the car almost stopped. I took my car to Hamlet for complaint with all issues. He said, the car needs to replace engine shock, steering joint and bunch of craps that will cost me another $1,500 to $ 2,000.00 with rebuilt part. I felt suspicious with this guy then I took my car Bimmer to dealer on that day. I explained the dealer with noise issues. Dealer charged $175 for diagnostic and provide me the causes of problem due to previous mechanic did not torque or tighten the nuts and bolts properly after he re-installed the parts. I think the BMW manufacture should strip his name or remove the "BMW" from Hamlet. read more

Along with a nice car like a BMW, you need to find the proper shop to have all of your needs met. The last thing I need after a long day at work is worrying about my car breaking down on me. I routinely take my car to this shop for any issues that come up. It's a very clean environment compared to other shops I've been too. Definitely give it a shot ! read more
