However, my most recent visit has been frustrating. I dropped off a handgun at the end of November for three services and was quoted 6-8 weeks max. I had planned to attend a training in late February, so based on that timeline I expected to have my handgun back by the end of January. We are now approaching 15 weeks, and my firearm is still not ready. Can't even reschedule my class as the staff has been unable to give me a date each time I've called. I didn't want to leave a negative review because my previous experiences here have been great, but this delay is honestly unreasonable. If I would have known the turn around time I would have skipped on services. A friend of mine dropped off his handgun at a different shop for the same services and had it back within a month. I am paying full price for 2 of the 3 services so I might as well have just taken it to the other shop.. I would still consider purchasing items from this store, but unfortunately I will most likely not be returning here for gunsmithing services.

They wouldn't accept even the smallest gratuity. They could have charged me hundreds of dollars for cleanings but instead provided a free service and a smile. Truly great Americans. I think it took all of 10 minutes to get the paperwork done, and off I went. 10 days wrapped, and I went for my pickup today. Again, the shop was super chill. Took less than 10 minutes to wrap everything up. Start to finish, the process was painless. Most gun shops are typically not places I'm super comfortable at. They tend to have semi aggressive staff, customers, or both. And they also tend to be very vocal about their political affiliations. VC Armory had none of those things. That alone is going to make them my go to LGS from here on out.

After a month passed I called to hear a status and nothing. I contacted back after a few weeks and no answer, nor calls back with the status. Keep in mind, Months passed and still no response and They never answer the phones, and At this point I wanted my stuff back and went to shop several times and no one was ever there. I finally get a response back I can pick them up. They told me they didn't touch them and couldn't get to it after having it for months. After I looked at my project I was furious. Seems they started it and had it sit with the humidity . As you can see in the pictures rust is all over my lower and upper. Luckily I took pictures of it when I dropped it off. The gun was not dropped off in this condition. They claimed they didn't touch but then said we put it in acetone. So first they said didn't touch it but after the I sent them them the pictures they said they put it in acetone. No sense of what they did or anything. And left it and let rust accumulate. They offered to fix it but after dealing with them, they lost credibility to me and after months of no response there was no way I wanted to deal with them again. I requested to be reimbursed for my damages for another shop to remove the rust from my gun and they declined.
