Ms. Antoinette is a wonderful teacher. She is kind, encouraging, and really brings out each child's artistic side. She helps the kids feel confident and proud of their work. One of the best parts is the friendly poodles. If the dogs are around, they're super sweet and the kids love them. It adds a warm and playful touch to the whole experience. We also like that they allow food and drinks inside. It makes the space feel relaxed and comfortable, like a second home where kids can create freely. Overall, ARTuity is a fun and inspiring place where kids can express themselves through art. We highly recommend it.

I am so pleased to see my kids love of art bloom, which is great to keep them away from screens and their electronics. The owner/teacher is so incredibly kind and she really creates a calming environment, when you step in the studio with the light piano music in the background it just gives you and I'm sure the kids just a great peaceful atmosphere. I really appreciate this place here in the AV. There are classes all week long and they have a website to check it out.

Ms.Latoyia is like the mom I never had and I'm super happy to have met her and ALL the staff here. Being consistent and honest with myself and others has broken me free from old mindsets and behaviors. In the beginning everything that I was going through seemed like the worst thing that could happen to me but it was really a blessing in disguise. Definitely a 10/10 and would recommend it to any man or woman with similar circumstances.

A Life-Changing Experience…read more I truly don't know where I would be today without Ms. La Toyia Conway Hampton and her incredible organization. During one of the most painful and challenging times in my life -- facing false allegations and going through a high-conflict divorce -- Ms. La Toyia stood by me with compassion, strength, and unwavering support. Even though I've always had a healthy and loving relationship with my children, I was put in a heartbreaking position that limited my time with them. I chose to voluntarily go through her program because I wanted to keep growing, stay strong, and prove my commitment -- not just to the system, but to myself. Ms. La Toyia helped me get through a difficult trial and guided me through powerful classes like parenting, anger management, sexual assault awareness, and personal development. She taught me communication skills and how to better handle toxic or high-conflict situations. She helped me sharpen tools I already had -- and gave me new ones that made me stronger, wiser, and more grounded. Her support carried me through one of the darkest tunnels of my life, and because of her, I was able to come out on the other side with clarity and hope. Ms. La Toyia, thank you for believing in me when everything felt uncertain. Your work matters -- and you make a lasting impact on lives, including mine. Forever grateful, Lauren Shinwari

I just went to the most beautiful celebration of life here. It has a piano up front and a podium. Maybe they have church services here also. When I was turning the big 50 my husband want to have a party for me. He wasn't finding anyplace nice and affordable to rent. We ultimately decided to cancel party because of life getting in the way. I don't know what they charge to rent the space but I told my husband this would be perfect for a party. Someone told me that schools use the space for activities but don't quote me on that. I wish I could have gotten more pics of inside. If you are looking for a venue for any kind of event. Check into Slice of Life. I will be calling for quotes 9/26/19 Yelp won't let me update my review so I will do it on my previous one. Still a five star review, would give it more if I could. Tonight I was at the Fall Fashion Show and was able to meet the owner Susan. She was so gracious and wonderful to talk to. She explained that they do classes like art, music, cooking, drama, sign language for adults and children. I am really excited about the programs they offer for my son. This space is so beautiful, you can rent the big space or a smaller one for a more intimate setting. I am sure I will throw a party at this venue at some point. I have been to two things here now and both of them were amazing. Everything about this space is wonderful even down to the bathrooms.

I am new to pottery and have been so happy with all of the guidance I have received at this studio. I started with their introductory class (aka Play with Clay) which is $65. This $65 intro class begins with a tour of the studio followed by a tutorial going over the steps of wheel throwing. It can be surprisingly difficult at times but they have multiple instructors for the small class that help a lot. You are given 5 pounds total of clay and are allowed to make whatever you want with it. Afterwards, it costs $15/piece for the studio to trim and glaze your piece for you (or you can come back and glaze yourself). You can avoid this fee however if you upgrade your experience to the 4 class package for $110 (they subtract the cost of the intro class and count that as 1 class). I did this option and highly recommend it if you are nearby! It comes with 12.5 pounds of clay and 16 hours of individual practice studio time. The practice time is so clutch. You work in the member studio on your own. However, I have found that the community here is so kind and supportive. Members of the studio and staff are quick to help if you have a question and some members have even sat down with me to help me with some difficult pieces. I wanted to give a shoutout to the owner Robin and one of the staff/instructors Aaron. Both Robin and Aaron have been so kind to us and are so willing to help us out, even when it's outside of the classes. They are so talented at what they do and they make the process seem easy. They have so many solutions to fix your pieces if you mess up. I am so grateful for them as well as the other staff that we have had the pleasure of learning from. I highly recommend checking this place out and consider becoming a member here. They have so many different glazed and they fire their ovens twice a week, I believe. Most other studios do this only about once or twice a month... From my time here, I have probably made close to 10-15 pieces total - what a great deal.

I finished the class that I should have completed 17 years ago. I'd hoped to share with the group how proud I was, and how good life is today. Unfortunately, the group got going on several downer topics, such as the atrocities happening in our jail system, how *all* sober living homes run by Armenians are a scam (gee, racist much?), and how the Democrats are extending the government shutdown because they want Healthcare for illegal immigrants. I lost it on that last one, and corrected the person, but felt like I was alone in my opinions. Another person who completed their class today got a warm hug from the teacher, but with me she barely made eye contact. I felt robbed of my celebratory moment. Screw them! *I* completed the class, I finished my responsibility, and if I'm the only Pagan and Democrat in the room then I sure won't miss anything. OVERALL, I rate The High Road well, but I recommend keeping your opinions to yourself when in class. No one likes feeling like the outcast.
