Fun day at the range. This is a great place to spend a little time dialing in your target practice and brushing up on gun safety.

I've been coming to 5 Dogs for years and it's always been a great place to shoot. They have a wide variety of ranges to accommodate most weapons. Their staff is friendly, but are quick to call you out if you're being unsafe. This visit was my first time trap/skeet shooting and it was a blast. FYI: bring plenty of water and sunscreen during the summer months.

I love the sound of freedom!

I have been going to this range for a while now and I love it! The guys working the counter are great, good customer service, huge location, they have multiple ranges for different caliber firearms and usages, portable toilets, a shaded section to hang out at and the membership is really well priced. Unless they changed it, I payed $20 for a year membership and $10 for everytime you go and per person. The one setback is how during fire season we can not use steel ammo on the metal targets. It would be nice if they fire break the areas around the metal targets to avoid any fire hazards so we can use those metal targets. It's the main reason I go out there to hear that plink! Lol, other then that I plan on being a member for a long time. Great shooting range guys!

Best shooting range in California. Owners are down to earth humble people and the staff is very friendly. They take safety serious and are not afraid to tell visitors what they can and can't do. The facility is always well kept and prices for shooting are very reasonable. I would strongly recommend 5 Dogs without hesitation.

Ask the Community - 5 Dogs Range

Are they open on Memorial Day?

Yes! We're open normal hours on Memorial Day.

Does the range allow wolf ammo?

Although a green range, they do allow. But once vegetation is dried they do not due to 'wolf' shells being made of steel and will cause sparks. Leading to chance of fire.… Read more

My business relationship with BGC first started with the owner talking down about other firearm…read morestores in town. I should have taken that as a sign and moved on but I didn't, unfortunately. I purchased a custom built AR-308 model that the owner put together himself. His BGC stamped lower on a DPMS upper to look like the DPMS LRT-SASS. He showed me a video on his phone of his wife shooting it so I was convinced it was a working firearm. I went to pick it up after the 10 day wait period to find out they forgot to run the background check. Then, waited 10 more days, went to pick it up, and while there overheard the owner telling the other worker that he forgot to run someone else's background check, as well. So not running background checks, I guess is normal procedure. I went to zero the rifle and discovered there was something wrong either with the bolt or in the buffer tube because I was catching huge recoil and the bolt wasn't catching properly. I told BGC and he said that this is how it is supposed to be and that is why he doesn't like AR .308's (tells me that he doesn't like his own products after he sells me one, of course). He told me to take it up with DPMS. DPMS customer service gave me some ideas what the problem could be but it wasn't anything with their upper. I found out he switched the lowers. Then, I took it to a properly trained gunsmith, Berge, at another firearm store and after paying for his service, we discover BGC is mixing different caliber AR pieces. I had a .223 caliber buffer, buffer spring, and PRS stock. I confronted BGC owner and he told me I was wrong and tried to prove me wrong by dumping a box of buffers and buffer springs on his counter to show me they are all the same size. Well I ended up proving him wrong and taught him a little something about AR's. After 4 trips back and forth between Berge and BGC, paying Berge for his help, dealing with the horrible customer service at BGC, the rifle finally worked for about 70 rounds then the bolt catch snapped while out at the range. I confronted BGC owner again because his staff doesn't have a clue and he accused me of tampering with it then finally threw me another bolt catch and told me he doesn't have the tool to fix it. Then I go back to Berge to pay for his services once more and once fixed, I sold it. Gun Club has no business building unsafe AR's, and you are better off either ordering the pieces and watching some youtube videos on how to do it yourself or going to another firearm store. After all of these issues, not once did I get an apology or an explanation for this crappy piece of metal he sold me. Save yourself the headache and dealing with the horrible customer service. Wonder if the stereos he installs out back are crap too.

I am a person of a small stature that rides a dual sport in my free time. This class offers a wide range of motorcycles, mine had several tiny 125 bikes as well as two Yamaha TWs, two cruiser style bikes, a Ninja 300, CB300F and more. I picked myself a Kawasaki Z125 which is basically a Grom. They allowed everyone to walk up to the bikes and choose which one you wanted. The bike that I CHOSE was very small and easy to maneuver. My only note is it was almost TOO small for me even as a littler woman, so if you go as someone larger maybe DO pick a larger bike. Learning to get comfortable on different types of bikes is part of leaning to ride. The instructors had much consideration for me seeing as I've only ever ridden dirt and dual sport so they kept giving me pointers on how to use a street bike properly. You can leave if you feel uncomfortable, they tell you that. The instructors are on a time limit and everything is timed to go at a pretty quick pace but gives you time to grasp the basic idea of each exercise. Motorcycles are scary, try not to get too in your own head about the specific bike or people watching you, we're all there to learn. I had experience prior yes, but my fiance didn't and he even found the course very informative and plans to go back to top gun as he didn't pass the test. As a smaller woman, I highly recommend this class. They treated me just like everyone else, they were helpful and stern when needed to be. Overall is a very fun class and I would go any weekend again. AMAZING
