After a thorough search on Yelp to find a lunch spot in Shawnee, we landed on Hamburger King. Not only was it easy to find, it was clearly the right choice based off how full they were! Although all the tables were full, we were able to sit at the counter to order. Burgers are made to order and the service was top notch. I really liked the wedges while my friend enjoyed the tots. They also have tons of pies that are listed on a board. We both went for the monkey tail which is banana and chocolate! Happy to recommend Hamburger King!! read more

Shawnee's not so hidden gem! I was told about this spot by my coworker. She raved about how good the burgers are. Y'all she was right. This place did not disappoint. It's a family owned diner that's been around for over 50 years. You feel kinda of like you're going back in time when you walk in. My little divas loved that you order food via telephone at the table. The food is delicious and made fresh when you order. I ordered The Kicker which is a bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese along with all of the other normal burger toppings. It was delicious. My side order choice was the potato wedges which were yummy as well. No one in our party was disappointed with the food. Even the picky eaters in the group enjoyed the food. They have enique ordering ewith boothes you set down at and then lift up a telephone and make your order. In usually way less than 10 minutes your chomping down on a great hamburger made how you like it with fixens. HBK also has all kinds of pies. If your tooth is still needing a sweet kick order pecan, coconut, fruit salad, i cant remember them all. If you find any th at are bad, just buy them and call me up.
