I am floored at the fact that someone rated Hallo as a 1 star, but then I went to her profile for Yelp and noticed a pattern. Shameful. First and foremost Hallo is extremely sanitary! The owner has not only been in the business for moons, but also has 2 more successful salons. Her employees are top notch! They cater, they care, take their time, they work hard and tired-less without any hesitation. Not even sure where the price raising comment comes into play when it is literally in b&w what price you will pay for what service you are requesting. This place used to be legit. The man who runs the front, clearly doesn't want to be here. Everytime I come in there is an issue a few days later. Everything is so rushed, the techs talk when you are trying to relax. All of this sucks because the owners are so kind. I've tried more expensive and fancier looking salons and they simply do not beat the service and quality you get at Hallo. Very nice powder dip manicure done by Zee, I prefer not to have fingers put in acetone to remove them. FYI: They said next time to ask for cotton balls on nails with foil vs soaking fingers in acetone. Very relaxing environment, will go back. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I walked in to my appt at 5pm and was immediately tended to by three different people. I wanted a gel mani and a gel pedicure. They handed me a menu, showed me to my foot spa chair and gave me a bottle of water, a lap pillow and a modesty towel (I was wearing a dress) to put on my lap. I chose my pedicure option and Kevin started on my nails. Another very nice woman started my feet. The third gentleman asked me if I would like a shoulder and neck massage for $1 per minute. I told him yes! I would love a good 10 minute massage. Let me tell you...it was THE BEST MASSAGE I've ever had. Whewwweee! Kevin meticulously worked on my nails and was a total perfectionist. He asked about everything from shape, to length, to cuticles ect. My pedicure lady spent a good amount of time and effort on my feet. She was very thorough and didn't cut any corners. I wish I lived here, I'd be at this nail spa constantly. I felt utterly pampered every moment. This is a beautiful building. Although I have yet to ask for any of their services, I randomly went inside to ask for a bottle of water (I was so thirsty), and had to use the restroom badly. The people that worked there were soooo sweet, soo kind and gracious. That alone says a LOT about their business and their people. Super excited that this nail retreat has opened up so close home! Nestled off FM 359, between Mason and 723, this salon is a welcomed addition to the Rich/Rosenberg area. I was greeted with a warm "welcome" and found menus available for review in waiting/reception area. The Herbal Pedicure was a sweet treat for nail "Naturalistas." It consisted of an Herbal Mineral bath soak, exfoliation, massage and foot treatment with Nu Skin products. This pedicure was amplified by the wonderful attention to detail by Ms. Tam!! She is definitely someone to seek for a relaxing foot massage, although I'm sure all the technicians here are as skilled. Mr. Minh help me in the decision to get a Dip Manicure to promote the nail strengthening regimen I was seeking. After looking over their vast selection of nail colors, I decided to go with a cool gray shade to complement the Zoya nail polish I had brought in. He did an excellent job of explaining how different nail shapes accentuated nail bed sizes. I LOVE how he shaped my nails into a beautiful round shape! As my pedicure was being performed, I decided to change my nail design to an ombré selection. At this point, the nail techs that were present who could do this service were already with customers. Instead of being told I'd have a long wait, I was pleasantly surprised that the staff called in an employee who apparently was not far off to come and help. Andy came to the rescue in literally 5 minutes! His expedient arrival was rivaled by his artistic craft and design!! I am looking forward to exploring new nail techniques and designs he is versed in (i.e. 3D Nail Art, foil method, etc). I would not recommend this place. They trick you! They will tell you one price that is cheaper and then when you come in and sit down and have it done, they up the price DOUBLE from what it originally "was." But since you have already gotten it done you HAVE TO PAY IT!!! And when you try and reason with him, he stopped speaking English. read more

I needed a dip nail and a blow dry and I liked their website except they DO hair and it is not on the site. The service and owner is incredible. They remodeled an office suite to a large and inviting place for beauty. Personal attention and like 200 nail dip choices. It is located a little out of the way but well worth the drive. Walked in at 12pm and got my toes done, then waited about to hour for them to start my nail refill. Once they finally started my nail refill the lady was not paying attention at ALL and cut two of my nails way too short ( which was painful) then burned my other nail. I pulled away and told her to just take off my fake nails and put a clear coat on top. My nails look TERRIBLE and she still charged me for the manicure.
