I've been coming here for years, I try not to write negative reviews. But..every time I get regular polish, I'm unhappy with the application. Each time my nails are bubbly and the coats are uneven, they don't take it up to the cuticle. I corrected the guy doing my nails but he seemed visibly upset. It drives me crazy! They just try to upsell and say get dip or gel. I'm only wearing polish for a week I don't want those options. Pedicure ladies are always super sweet and polite. They do a great job!

My mother and I came in and our experience was great! I got Gel x with cat eye pattern and my mom got nude dip nails. Hannah did my mom's nail and Tom did my nails. They kept us entertained with stories throughout the session. Owner was very nice also. Highly recommend this place.

I came to the nail salon for a fill (ombré) and shellac pedicure. I arrived shortly after 5p. I didn't have to wait long. Fiona and Nancy serviced me. It was hard to relax because between Nancy making me fill like she was rushing and Fiona starting my nails you lose the opportunity to sit back and relax. Nancy/Pedicure- definitely felt rushed. She did cut my cuticle, however, I didn't notice until she sprayed my feet with alcohol. Fiona/ Fill- granted it was hard for her to match my back fill but she did try her best. My nails are slightly lumpy and I had to have her repair a nail with the clear gel. She didn't clean up around my nails. Overall, if I would have paid under $100 I would have said "well I paid for what I get" but after $125 I feel a little cheated.

Not sure why this time under my nails I started having this weird peeling thing happening. So only reason I gave it a 4 star review. Still my go to place because they are clean and owner is attentive of her customers. As long as you are respectful to her workers, she is also respectful to you. So don't go trying to mess with her workers if you want to get good customer service. I think this should always go both ways. This is my 4th time going to them and will continue going.

This is my go to nail place and has been for years! Everyone is so good at their jobs & the atmosphere is relaxing.

Customer service is good. Everyone is very nice. However, the work that I got done was not the best. I got dip powder and my nails are soo thick and my hair is already getting stuck around the edges. I got my nails before getting surgery, so no, it is not normal wear and tear. I have not done anything other than sleep. My nails look soo ugly and they hurt so much.

Judy (the owner) clearly cares more about making money than taking care of her loyal customers. The only reason I still come here is because of Amber. I came in for a repair on a shellac pedicure I just got less than a week ago--my polish came off on my pinky toe and my big toenail broke. I even made an appointment ahead of time since I had somewhere else to be. When I got there, I had to explain everything to the front desk, who then had to call Judy to explain why I was there and then I had to explain to Judy why I shouldn't be charged for something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. They tried to charge me $6 and argued about it before finally fixing it. Now I'm running late to my next appointment over something that should've been quick and easy. And this isn't the first time Judy has acted like this. I wouldn't come to Avalon Nails at all if it wasn't for Amber. Just be aware. read more

This is my first time writing NO to requesting this location to anyone. Not only have we lived in this area for 14 years but I'm immediately reminded why this is my second and last time coming here. The vibe is absolutely horrible outside of the adorable young girl who checked us in. My issue: I noticed a lady, already here and done with her pedicure, had a coke. But as soon as me and my guest were finished with our $123 bill worth of work, I noticed a lady, who came after use, have a full on cocktail. When I realized it I asked "what happened to us being offered drinks?" The technician started stuttering and tried to offer something upon our exit. I've never felt so insulted. But as I stated: I'm reminded that by I will never be here again and why I now understand why this place is never occupied. Enjoy! Back to my two favorite nail salons. A distance away. read more

I treated my daughter and granddaughters to mani/pedis, and we were all made to feel very special! My granddaughters felt like little princesses in the way they were pampered, and I greatly appreciated the extra attention everyone gave them. Hiep is my usual trusted technician, and he is so awesome at giving special attention to my ingrown nails and other issues I have with my feet. He is like my private podiatrist! I am always confident in knowing I will receive the very best treatment and care when I visit Avalon. I love this nail salon. Since recently moving to the area I've been on a quest to find a nice salon that does quality work. I must admit the quality of the services I've received has been top tier. My nails and toes have always looked great no matter which technician does the job. However, I must say that Fiona has stood out to me the most. She is really good with nails, toes, and eye brows. She is super talented, friendly, and has a very sweet spirit. The receptionist is always very nice and welcoming. They offer you drinks which is always a plus. It's a small but lively salon with a great atmosphere and nice selection of colors. Overall I highly recommend at least trying them out. read more

I found this place a day ago and decided to book for 2 products with Helen and Michelle. Helen was great on my boyfriends feet. Michelle was also good; it's just that I have a few cuticle cuts that I didn't realize until she cleaned my nails with acetone (it stung). I didn't feel the cut as she cut my cuticle though. That's the only downside. Michelle cleeeeeaned my toe nails real good - lol. The space was pretty clean here and the tools they used were new, clean, and sanitized, which is something I didn't have to ask them to do (that's great). Some places will reuse tools they used on other people. The receptionist was very helpful, nice, and full of energy (love her attitude). The space was vibrant and inviting. I got shellac and their spa pedicure, which is a normal thing for me anywhere I go. I would recommend this place, and I'll be back. read more

I've been twice and both times were mediocre. Hana does an amazing job with pedis however my dips nails were just ok and not exactly what I like. The second time ( less than 2 weeks ago with a "coffin" shape) they have lifted and now my hair gets caught under every time I need to put my hair up and this am one broke off, which hasn't happened to me in years. Unfortunately my long time nail tech moved and I have had to find a new place to visit, when I tried to get them repaired on a Monday no one was available. I wish I could of called this place my new go to, nail salons are on every corner and some are cheaper with higher staff count and who would do anything to keep a customer like myself, a repeat customer who tips well and looks for long term business client relationships. read more

The lady did my glitter Ombre and was very friendly, conversational and sweet. The price for my mom's pedicure and my nail set was a reasonable price.

But already one of the girls seemed annoyed. I showed what I was wanting. I showed her the designs and everything. She did not tell me that she could not do it or that they had stickers (I hate stickers) and she would not be painting the designs. The designs beings little four point stars and dots and a couple of other things that are simple. So when it comes time to do the design, she tells me she has stickers. But they end up being different shades of gold and I was frustrated at that point because I was not informed from the get go so I said okay. She told me she did not have stickers for the other two things I wanted and I asked if she could paint it and she said she would try. But if you know this ahead of time (because she knew what I wanted) why not let me know and go to someone who can actually do what I want. She did an okay job with her attempt but it was with a different shade of gold paint so now I have a glitter gold paint (did not want glittery gold) and some really yellow gold stickers and then some softer gold stickers so three mismatched golds on my nails. And she was annoyed from the beginning so she just seemed more and more annoyed as time went on. If I'm paying for extra designs/chrome/etc, why be annoyed? I'm not getting this extra work for free. So in the end she was not able to recreate what I wanted (she knew she wouldn't be able to but didn't tell me to start) and her attitude was there from the start. I do believe I was overcharged as well-only by $5 but I looked at their menu and website over and over and did my math and even in person asked her to go over and she told me acrylic was $50 but online it is full set for $45. I was over being there so i didn't argue about it. The woman who did my pedicure was nice though.

Had a job here extremely unprofessional and illegal. Started working here in September, did not get payed until November. Judy is extremely rude, unprofessional, and entitled. During my interview she clearly stated $12 an hour, and did not say anything about $10 an hour. When I quit she flipped the narrative on me which again is extremely unprofessional, new receptionist every month, does not pay overtime, and all of a sudden when I quit she wants to pay me less out of pettiness.
