I recently received an email from them, offering a 15% discount on tree service. I scheduled a quote for lat Friday, the 28th. Joe arrived, assessed the required work, and presented a quote that was almost $200 more than the previous work performed 10 months ago for virtually the same thing! I asked about a 1st responder discount and he said he'll waive the tax. There was no mention or consideration of the 15% discount. He also stated that they should've charged more for the previous work. In my opinion, this is nothing more than the old bait and switch con. They don't stand behind their word. I cannot continue to recommend Green Pine Tree Service.

When the owner called me back, she raised her voice and said she refused to get her company involved. Even though an estimate isn't a binding contract, she said it would drag them through the mud. I've never had someone react this way. I ended up hanging up on her because she was so rude and unprofessional. I didn't sign up to be lectured nor do I need to let someone berate me! She acted like I was 5 yrs old. Said I should put myself in her shoes and she used to work for a law firm. Ok? So have I. An estimate isn't binding. And I'm taking legal action. Not trying to be shady. I was very upset by her overall attitude and would not do business with her again.

It was a large tree with a very wide trunk, which was hollow at a part of it. The owner came out to look at it and talk to me about the removal. The crew showed up on time and knew what they were doing! Because there is not much space between homes, they had to use a crane to pick up the pieces of the tree and the crane to take these parts safely over our home. The equipment to grind the stump also had to be taken over the home. Safety was excellent, communication was excellent, value was good, and everyone was professional. I will use this company again. One of their arborists came out and reviewed the tree and recommended removal and was beyond saving. I was sad to see it have to go, but it was going to be danger soon as the disease progressed. They even gave me recommendations on replacement trees that would be more hardy in the future. They made it out the same day to quote and cut it down. It took them about an hour to take down a 30 foot tall maple tree. They also ground down the stump. The area was cleaned up and the mulch spread out. Three of My Trees Needed a Pro. Better Call Sal!…read more A very Large Cedar tree did not make it through the winter. I think it was about 30 feet high. And I had a 20 foot tall Pecan tree that died also. When Sal's crew arrived, they informed me I also had one more dead Pecan tree. The trees were a bit crowded, so when the men finished thinning out, the overall effect was very pleasing to the eye. And the crew ground the stumps down, filled the holes and cleaned everything up. It is hard to tell Sal's crew were ever there bringing down those tall trees and reducing it all to mulch. When the crew found the third dead tree (a Pecan) they quickly estimated a price, but it was over my budget, so I told them "next time". Sal's guy agreed to knock off $200, and get it all done so this job would look great, and the problem was off my list. I was not angling for a discount but it made it worthwhile to squirm for the extra. And I realized they were so right when I saw the finished result looked just beautiful with all the trees attended to. Sal, I am glad your guys can "think of Their Feet". They really stand back and get the big picture when they plan their work. This is my third service from this company. And I could not be happier.
