The restaurant was occupied but not full. Our server, Isaac, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave me great recs from the menu. I got the Purple Rain with the Langoustine and Hokkaido rolls. All was delicious and served quite quickly with no skimping on quality. We were all pleased with what we ordered. The service was efficient but not rushed. Eight was the perfect spot with a moody vibe for our chill girls night out. Please keep in mind they do have a dress code that's more business casual or cocktail hour attire. I'd definitely go back and suggest it to someone I care about.

C= (Fr*Q*q*c) Fr: 9 Q: 8 q: 10 c: 10 C(Yokohama)= 7200 Don't get me wrong - the competition is fierce for delicious sushi (Fudo, MF sushi, Nobu, all the Omakase scenarios popping up in town). What this means is the cost (c) is way too high, giving it a low 1-5 in the equation. Also, quantity (q) is low, about 4-6. So, the resulting coefficient is very low overall. From my understanding, the fish here only comes from Japan, so it's good stuff - and they really load up the rolls (a lot of the time), and they have this deal on weekend for special rolls (25% off I think). So you do get the quality, quantity, and decent price (about $12-15 per specialty roll). The regular rolls are good too, and loaded with fish. E.g. spicy salmon/tuna. So, if you're looking to go crazy on some good sushi without restraint and without breaking the bank completely, this is your spot. family owned I believe, very nice and efficient service. Needless to say, we are both familiar with and supportive of the restaurant. Unfortunately, today's experience missed the mark. As soon as we walked in, the energy just did not feel welcoming. We were really excited to come in for happy hour and sat at the bar from 5-7 PM. The restaurant was extremely slow when we arrived--in fact, we were the only guests there--yet it still took quite a while for the bartender to come over so we could even place our order. My friend was especially looking forward to the mussels, so she ordered those, while I ordered a sushi roll and we each ordered a drink. Unfortunately, she never received her mussels. The bartender, Tony, was not attentive throughout our visit, and we eventually had to get someone else's attention just to ask for our check. When we asked for the check, I made sure to mention that my friend had never received her mussels. The manager, Nick, came over, looked at the tab, and apologized. We explained the situation to him as well, but Tony was still nowhere to be found and never came over to acknowledge what happened or apologize. Nick did offer us a 15% discount card for a future visit, which we appreciated, but honestly, that wasn't really the point. It was about the principle and the overall experience. My friend and I have both worked in the restaurant industry for years, so we completely understand that mistakes happen. We're not expecting perfection. What matters is how those situations are handled, and unfortunately, we left feeling somewhat dismissed rather than valued. Despite everything, we still left a 20% tip because we understand the industry and don't believe one bad experience should define someone's livelihood. I'm sharing this because we genuinely love Osha Thai. My friend has supported this restaurant multiple times, has returned several times, and has posted multiple positive reviews about her experiences. That's why today was especially disappointing. On a Friday evening, my girl and I decided to check out Halidom Eatery for the first time, and it did not disappoint! Located on Moreland Avenue, parking is a breeze with plenty of free spots available. The entrance to this beautiful building gives off a calm and inviting vibe, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing evening. Surprisingly, it wasn't as busy as we anticipated, which made the experience even better. Since it was our first visit, we decided to explore the entire eatery before making our final decision. After walking around, I decided to try a few different spots. First, I grabbed 10 Ginger Honey Garlic wings ($18 including tax) from Mad Dads Phillys, then I tried the Shrimp and Grits ($16) from Deallo's Seafood, and finally, I grabbed 3 tacos (Baja shrimp $5.25, steak $4.25, and chicken $4.25) along with a strawberry margarita ($14) from Luze Mexicano Cocina. Each restaurant gave me a device to let me know when my food was ready, and it took about 10-15 minutes for each order. With so many seating options in the food hall, we found a spot to relax and enjoy the vibe. The Ginger Honey Garlic wings from Mad Dads Phillys were delicious, but I felt the portion size didn't quite match the price, especially since no fries were included. The wings had a strong honey garlic flavor, with just a hint of ginger. The Shrimp and Grits from Deallo's Seafood were absolutely phenomenal--by far my favorite dish of the night. The price was great, the portions were generous, and the flavors were on point. With shrimp, andouille sausage, bacon, and a rich Cajun cream sauce, this dish hit all the right notes. Lastly, I tried the tacos and margarita from Luze Mexicano Cocina. The tacos were perfectly sized, neither too small nor too big, and each one had its own unique, delicious flavor. They came on soft shells with cilantro, onions, and a choice of mild or medium sauce. The margarita was just the right strength, with a perfect strawberry blend that really hit the spot. On our way out, we discovered a fourth restaurant all the way around the corner and down a hall, with no signage directing traffic to the Ramen spot. This looks like a great place to watch the World Cup from indoors and maybe even outside in the middle of the courtyard. There's a huge screen in the courtyard. There are plenty of tables and chairs inside and outside. It's an upscale looking place right in the heart of downtown and apparently adjacent to Georgia Tech Campus. The kids ordered from the taco place, and I ordered from what looks like a brand new rice bowl café. I would actually come back just to try food from the Mediterranean/Caribbean spot as their selection looked amazing. It just seemed a little too heavy for what I wanted on a hot summer day. The staff weren't overly excited to be there, but when someone came to the counters, they were ok. Just gives off an overall bored feel here. The grilled teriyaki salmon bowl was tasty, if maybe just a little too salty for my taste. My son got the hungry bowl, and it was filled with a good selection of sushi grade fish. He said it was good. The spring rolls I ordered were cooked just right. Nothing fancy. If you happen to be in this area and looking for a quick bite, this may be a good place to drop in-- especially if you're just waiting for traffic to die down going out of the city. We found a parking spot on the street right outside the doors, but I did notice there was a garage across the street as well.

Service was excellent and definitely a highlight of our visit. Our waitress was attentive, checked in often, and gave us great suggestions from the menu, which helped a lot since it was our first time there. She really made us feel taken care of. The restaurant did get busy and a little loud, but that's expected during brunch hours. Overall, great food, great service, and a solid first impression. The waffle was prepared exactly how she likes it. I tasted the waffle and it was good. It had a bit of a crisp to it but the internal was very tender. I also ordered the Grilled Corn Ribs. Oooh weee they make you wanna call on Jesus. They were so juicy! They had this Parmesan like seasoning on it. I also had the red velvet cake and it was super moist. Just a wonderful, good flavor. All in all, the food was amazing. Our server, who I learned at the end, was also the manager, had great energy, and was very friendly and polite when she came to our table. However, the service is horrible. We asked four times for our ticket before finally getting up and walking to the bar and paying. Additionally, I feel like the place could use a little refresh. The decor is basic. The sound system was horrible and the ceiling was missing a couple of tiles. Also, there is this step down that needs to have a yellow stripe or something to let people know there is a step down. The entire floor is black. My friend said she almost didn't notice it and could have fallen. There is a $200 dollar private VIP room in the back but you get nothing with it, just privacy. No bottle service! That's a bit much. So, do I recommend Sweet Auburn Brunch??? Maybe, if you have nothing but time on your hands, sure! But if you got something to do, this ain't the spot for you.

We had the quesadillas, chips & queso, and a chicken and shrimp corn tortilla. We ate everything! For drinks, I did a peach margarita and he had watermelon margarita made with jack. Our food lacked flavor. We were also rushing since our parking time was almost over. I enjoyed my bubble tea though and even though our food took awhile, service was good.
