The good: Cozy, sport themed local pizza joint (this area needs a good one). Both girls serving the customers were gorgeous! The bad: Prices were quite high ($20 for a medium pizza), wings were about $1 each. Almost no cheese on the pizza! LONG time from placing order to food coming out. The unknown: Wings looked and smelled good, but I couldn't justify the price. Other tables' sandwiches and appetizers looked good as well. Our experience: We tried the "dough"nots--not what we were expecting. I was hoping for "LaFamilia" style garlic knots...these were more like beignets that you would find in a French bakery. They were kind of sweet and not "garlicky" enough. Very soft and chewy. When we ordered our pizza, our beautiful server instantly asked if we want extra cheese on it. I thought that was strange. When our pizza finally came out about 45 minutes later, I quickly realized why she had asked...there was practically no cheese on it! Other than that, the pizza was very tasty and the toppings were substantial and fresh. I want to go back because on YELP, this place has a deal...$15 for $30 worth of food. Wife and kids have no interest in trying it again. read more

I ordered delivery on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quick which was awesome. Unfortunately one pizza was awesome the other was inedible. The pepperoni pizza we ordered was completely burnt on the bottom. I made sure I took pics of both for comparison. read more

Folks in the area, come check out this place as the pizza and wings are great!!! Most of us around the area remember this place as the local bar, but atmosphere has definitely changed. Family friendly and really good thin crust pizza. Waitresses are really nice and wait time for food is not bad at all. Price is not bad either. My wife and I ordered last night a large pepperoni with half olives, sausage and 8 wings. About $25 after taxes and tip. The restaurant is still working on getting their beer and wine license, but it's BYOB so no problems there. I highly recommend folks coming out and visiting Halftime Pizza and enjoying an evening of great food and good family atmosphere!!! read more

We were visiting on vacation. The pizza is great and the cheesy bread was out of this world good. Good atmosphere. read more

I live 4 blocks away. For the past few years. I heard negative feed back from this place. So today. I decided to try this place out. I placed. An order to go. Showed up 10 minutes early. Went to the bar the gentleman that assisted from the time I walked in. Offered a happy hour beer. Believe it or not they had my beer on tap. Lone Star. 5 Stars. Came home the Philly sandwich. 5 Stars. The 2 pizzas. 4 Stars. Staff . friendly and outgoing. Great service. I wish I would have not listen to the negative remarks. This neighbor establishment is 5 Stars in my book. Thanks guys. Joe read more

I got mocked their customers due to my pizza and wings being over the given wait time. When I had the manager walk me out due to customer clapping and yelling at me to get out. I am sure if it one of their orders being that long they would have been mad too. The manager did his best once I said how he could do better about helping out his staff ( kitchen and severs) instead of hang out with the bartender. Who did not need help, but his kitchen staff did. Knowing they put my order In when I arrived after to suppose you be ready before I for there. It was made, and ready 40mins later then when I order. I got it order comped due to the long wait, but I will never order from here again. ( without my husband picking it up! Maybe he will have better luck!) I am so upset that I work hard as a server myself to be treated that way is just shocking!! Good luck!! read more

I called 8 times for take out and no one answered. I decided to just go and wait for it there. When I got there it was about 4:30 pm and the place was closed. Lights and fans and everything was on but the doors were locked. I checked the hours and it was supposed to open at 1:00pm. Very disappointed. Ok, I decided to give this place a second chance because I really wanted to try the food. I'm still very disappointed. I didn't even finish my food. I ordered the philly cheese steak and it was extremely spicy. Maybe to drown out the gross taste of the meat. I was craving it sooooo bad and it was such a disappointment. My family also ordered the fried pickles and they were soggy. Again , disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

I will never go to this place again. Me and my family waited almost an hour for our pizza while I watched a bunch of other people recieving their food that showed up after us. Manager was not in sight and surprisingly showed up when we went to front desk. Never got the pizza and they still chelated us for the 5 pizza rolls we ate 30 minutes before and never got the pizza. What kind of service is this!! read more

Great visit! Food and service was top notch. Carmen was sweet and welcoming. Great customer service! The place looked and smelled clean. The owner was helping the staff clean tables which I thought was awesome. He also came up and followed up to see how everything was. (This is rare for most places) Everything was great! The food was fresh and delicious. We used the YELP deal and the owner welcomed the deal with a smile. $15 for $30 of food. We had the pizza rolls which were very tasty along with pizza and calzones. We will come back! Thank you for a great B-Day dinner! read more

Ordered a large half pepperoni half sausage. They charged for 2 toppings. I asked why, since it was only half and half. Told me that's just the way it is. Asked if I at least get more topping on each side. They said no. I mentioned that I've never been to a pizza place that charged a full topping on half a pizza. They didn't really seem to care. Other than the shifty pricing for toppings, the pizza was good, but I will remember not to order half and half again. read more

Excellent place. We came here before when it was just a bar and restaurant and have to say the food is a definite improvement. Very cool neighborhood eats vibe and owner came out to greet his customers and make sure everything was alright. Service was good, and the time to get the food was as expected for fresh food to be made from scratch. We ordered pizza which was delicious, the dough knots which were awesome, and the wings were as good as anyplace in town. We got a double order of sweet teriyaki and the spicy BBQ - both were good but we're going back for the spicy BBQ. Someone in our party ordered one of their Philly Sandwich and said it was delicious also. We are definitely going back and will try some new stuff. Definitely worth a visit!! read more

Coming to half time Pizza and not having much of an expectation from a pizza I was taken back by the first bite of the pizza roll appetizer that was recommended to me by the waitress. The pizza roll are deliciously paired with fresh marinara sauce that will sure make anyone night. The pizza was delicious and perfectly cooked. You can't forget about their drink selection, great selection of draft beer at a great prize can't beat that. I have been looking for a good pizzeria and I must say I have officially found one. Totally recommend! read more

The Chamoye on the drinks make all the difference. We love this place. Don't ever change. Thank you.

Started coming to this place a year ago on a whim, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places. The staff is wonderfully pleasant and are very friendly. They'll check to see whether or not it is your first visit and go from there. The pizza rolls, while simple in design, are the highlight of the place. I'm surprised I have never heard of an egg roll with pepperoni and mozzarella, let alone mainstream pizza places using it. When it comes to this place, the pizza rolls are the golden parachutes. The wings are solid, the ranch is magical and of course, the pizza is fantastic. Sandwiches are good too. My only complaint is that they don't have cheese fries....because then I'd live here. read more

After a long day of swimming and family fun at a hotel, my wife and I ordered, pizza, wings and dessert from Halftime. The food was exceptional and our hungry children scarfed everything down! No worries ... plenty to go around so mom and dad didn't go without. The driver was very courteous and timely. We certainly recommend this place if you are in the area. read more

Our first time ordering. We took it as carry out. Food was delicious! Has an authentic flavor in every bite. We got the pizza, cheese bread, garlic knots and honey hot wings. It was very easy to order online and our order was ready at the said time. Everything was fresh! My only complaint was that Coke was the only available option online for drinks, however in person when brought it to their attention they did let me choose my drink of choice. Thank you for a great dinner. Will be returning soon! read more

The pizza rolls are DELICIOUS! The half order will easily feed two as a meal. Had a great meat lovers pizza as well. ( we would not have ordered a pizza had we known how filling the pizza rolls would be). After enjoying the rolls you could easily order a small pizza and be plenty full. This place is the s*** honestly.. Love it here. Location and atmosphere - In the neighborhood and kinda hidden away (which is a good thing). Inside it's clean and well maintained. Plenty of tables, plenty of TV's to watch your favorite game, and restroom is always clean. Bar area is great too if you aren't bringing the kids. Staff - The staff here are excellent. Chris is cool as hell, and embodies what a server should be. Knowledgeable, friendly, and simply good at his job. Hell, dude doesn't even write your order down, not even large orders. He will read it right back to you off top 100% accurately. He knows his beers too. (Dave get this man a raise, if not a promotion!) His teammates are also really good, I wish I knew their names to include them here too. Food and Drinks - Pizza rolls and lemon pepper buffalo wings for the MF win! These are definitely their signature items from what I've had so far.. Can't get this anywhere else. The beer selection is on point. I'm a strict IPA drinker, and these guys stock the good ones.. Not these crappy 5% weak ones, talking 8% or better and they rotate em out periodically. 15 bucks for a pitcher of "You Got The Juice Now" 8.5% ABV, which comes out to 4 pints of beer, about 4 bucks a pint after tax.. That's a hell of a good deal as a beer that strong goes for 8 bucks a pint at other places that serve craft beers. Overall - Just a really good family owned establishment, great for you and your buddies to go catch a game and have some good food over some good beers, yet great for you to take the family to as well. Wednesday kids eat free, so all 3 of my kids get a good sized personal pie on the house. Simply can't beat that, and I definitely had to share my review with others. Love this place! read more

Probably the most friendly atmosphere I've been around here in San Antonio. I had a calzone and though it wasn't the best I've had it was good enough for me to come back and have another. The beer selection as also interesting. I had a black hefe and it was very good. Went well with my meal. If you are looking to have a nice lunch or watch a game in a nice atmosphere I would highly recommend this place. read more
